Im 53 and these scars from my lower facelift really bother me. After 5-years of using every cream and lotion to make them disappear, I need professional help. My PS said scar revision surgery could help. Is that the best option or should I consider something else like a laser treatment of some sort? Id like to be able to wear my hair up and realize I will always have scars but have seen other scars that are much less visible.
I am 5 weeks post short scar lower face lift. I feel my jaw line is pulled too vertically and looks unnatural. I can actually see my lower jaw move when I talk. I also have noticeable pleats behind my ears. My surgeon says my jaw line looks great and the pleats will go away. Should I seek a revision and when?
At 52, I am so ready for a lower face / neck lift to remove sagging jowls, but, like most patients, I absolutely fear the ugly scars. I work with A-list celebrities here in Los Angeles and although they have access to the best plastic surgeons in the world, I have yet to come across someone whose front-of-ear scars aren't a dead give-away, especially when the incision has been made inside the Tragus and it looks even weirder. So, is there really no technique that allows for behind-the-ear cutting only?
Is it possible to do a lower face and neck lift by just cutting behind the ear but not going back into hair or along the hairline? I live where it's hot and I often wear my hair up or in a ponytail, having a scar in the space between the ear and the hairline would make me uncomfortable. Thanks E.
