Travelling to a foreign country to get the work done so just want to make sure I'm clear on my options. Top teeth: On the left side, my third tooth from the last got extracted when I was younger. My right maximally central incisor slightly overlaps my lateral incisor. Bottom teeth: Right mandibular lateral incisor stands behind the teeth surrounding it; which completely twists my right canine tooth. (using vocabulary I found online, I apologise if it's just more confusing >.<) Thank you!
I'd like to get lingual braces on my top teeth only. Is this possible? My bottom teeth don't bother me, but I am very self-conscious of my overlapping top canines. Does forgoing bottom braces reduce the cost of lingual braces? And would not getting bottom braces affect the results of the top teeth? Also, if anyone could estimate the cost of lingual braces in my case, that would be helpful in my decision to book a consultation. Thank you!
I have an impacted canine tooth, and was told I would need to get braces to bring the adult tooth down (there is still a baby tooth there). I'm 20 years old and do not want braces, what other options do I have? Lingual seems like the best option, but I'm not sure if I'm eligible. Could I have the baby and adult tooth removed, then get lingual braces and an implant?
I'm a 25 year old female and I have an overjet of around 10mm. I have had lingual braces for 9 months and my orthodontist told me the only way he could reduce my over jet is by doing ipr however I don't know if that will make enough of an improvement to be worth doing. Also I think my smile is fairly narrow and I'm worried that ipr may cause it to look more narrow than it already does. Is it possible that this could happen? I would like to know if it's worth risking having ipr done?
Saw 4 orthodontists, 1 that says braces will correct my deep bite and 3 that say forget the cost and trouble of braces & go w/ veneers. I have a bridge on bottom that I want removed & replaced with an implant, a porcelain veneer on either side of my 2 front teeth that are 22 yrs. old, too wide but closing gaps between these teeth. I have a space on bottom that was created by a tooth moving that could be straightened or moved more to allow an implant if needed.
my first concern is about my diastema (3mm) & i want it closed. i would choose the regular braces however if i want to correct my crossbite maybe i'll use an expander first? then after use braces. but if the treatment time & cost would be lesser (if), then maybe lingual braces could be better? (if an ortho would recommend) i mean it's not about the time of treatment if it would take shorter but if i would like to correct both my diastema & crossbite, can lingual brace treat it all in one? advice
Hi I have been to see an orthodontist about my overjet. I have been told that the only way to fix it would be braces and an operation. I went to see a different orthodontist for another opinion and said that I really didn't want an operation on my lower jaw to bring it forward, and could I get a better looking smile with braces alone. I was told that yes, using incognito or damon braces would give a pretty good result. also the bottom teeth, they are too long, opinions please
Flossing aids that the orthodontist has given me has helped me clean my teeth easier, but still doesn't feel like my teeth are clean or have reached all the spot between my teeth. Plus for some reason it takes me ages to get done with flossing. I was wondering if it's possible to switch from the regular flosses to one of those sonicare airflosses will work just as well for my teeth?
I have an overbite, plus my teeth stick a bit. If I get lingual braves could I get veneers while I have them? Or, would I have to wait until I'm done with my braces? And if I have to wait, could my orthodontist saw my teeth down. They are a bit larger then I want them to be. Thanks!
