25yo f. 7.5 months ago, I received one treatment of ProFrac on my whole forehead for 1 minor acne scar (it should have never been suggested, but I was naive). 200 microns, 11% dens, no coagboard certified derm said she overlapped pulses 50%. My prior skin was incredibly smooth and forehead pores were practically invisible. Since the treatment, Ive had to deal with this orange peel texture due to puckering of the skin between each pinhole where the laser ablated tissue. These are NOT pores.
I used retin a/Tazorac on nose/cheeks for 6 years. I've always had bad blackheads. Orange peel texture appeared 1 year ago. Also had blackheads literally on every pore on body. Took accutane which eliminated all blackheads, but after 2 months I noticed large pores all over face (not just areas with blackheads) so I stopped. Now I am extremely depressed. I am 22 but my parents have better skin than me. How can I repair this damage without making it worse? I am depressed and need help!
I have been suffering from rosacea for the past six months or so. I managed to get the papules under control with doxycycline, but the texture of the skin on my cheeks has rapidly deteriorated in the past few months and has become very rough and uneven with large visible pores (see attached photos). In addition, my cheeks feel chronically dry, no matter how much moisturizer I apply. Is there any way to treat this texture problem?
I suffer with mild acne rosacea and very large pores and my skin is orange peel like. It's really embarrassing. It's also oily, really red and I have red broken veins around the nose and a couple under my eyes. I'm only 22 and it is very depressing and knocks my confidence. I have tried so many different treatments! Peels, facials, toners, and many topical creams from the doctors and dermatologist. They mentioned laser treatment but I have read bad reviews. Please help!
My derm diagnosed me with Rosacea. I have been on metro cream and three different antibiotics. He recently prescribed Tretinoin .025%. Im terrified it will make my condition worse. Ive heard it causes swelling and can actually cause the problems I am having now. Have you ever heard of prescribing tret for Rosacea? Do you recommend or should I seek another opinion?
I'm getting Sculptra now, but also need ablative laser resurfacing, especially around my mouth from smokers lines, sun damage and for orange peel texture. I can't do the laser yet because of schedule concerns and summer coming up, but I plan to have it in the late fall or Jan. of next year. I read somewhere where you can't do laser after you've had Sculptra. Is that true?
I wish to improve my skin texture and lift it a little bit. I'm looking for a fraxel laser (Pixel, Total FX, Deep FX) However, according to realself replies about fractional lasers, some people says: no effect at all and some people says their skin is worse than before laser (they mention orange peel skin effect after laser). Therefore, I'm confused what to do/try to improve my skin texture. I can't tolerate if it will be worse. Why its happening and what is a solution? Skin pic added.
