I'm pale and have really dark coarse underarm hair, and nothing helped removing the green shadow on that area. The green shadow is shaped exactly where I usually have my hair growth. Shaving, waxing or epilating didn't help. I'm thinking of using an at home IPL (Silk Expert Pro 5 by Braun) to get rid of the 5 o'clock shadow on my armpits, will that be effective? Also, what is the exact cause of this green type of pigmentation? Thank you for reading.
I just finished my 5th treatment of laser hair removal for upper lip, arm pits, and Brazilian. Ive never been red after treatment or irritated. Right now, its grown back like Ive never even had one treatment. The first treatment was an old laser and the hair fell out. After that, I didnt notice hair fall out. But it grew back in patches a couple months. How do I know this is working? How do I know that I just didnt waste money and this is not working? Is this normal for it to all be back?!
My concern is I used to have an armpit lump under one of my armpits, which the doctor claimed it was a sebaceous gland during the time of diagnosis. Now, fast forward to 12 years later, the lump is still there, but it has gotten smaller in size. Whenever I touched it, it feels like there is small pimple (about 0.25 cm) hidden underneath my skin. My question is if I were to go for underarm laser hair removal treatment, will it affect the armpit lump in any way? Thank you.
2/3 weeks after my 4th laser treatment these round marks appeared in the exact same spot on both my armpits. They are very round and quite red marks, there was some visible sensitivity (a little bit of peeling) but aside from what I can see, I dont feel any pain or soreness. I went to the laser clinic and they claimed they have never seen anything like this after laser hair removal. Any thoughts on what this might be?
Laser hair removal on legs worked great no hair and if there is any hair they are very thin. I had a lot of facial hair and that's the main reason I went through laser hair removal since I have brown skin and dark hair. Laser hair removal on my face worked in the beginning, and now i have very thick hair, I have to shave daily. My arms and armpits I saw a difference in the beginning and now the hair is very thick and dark. Should I do electrolysis or do laser hair removal again?
I had laser removal on the armpit area two weeks ago and a couple of days after, I noticed some tiny spots on the area. I asumed it was burnt as I have sensitive skin, after more days, I started noticing an intense itching on my right arm and I saw a bunch of spots. I do have sun allergies and last year I was exposed to an intense summer sun in Greece and a couple of spots like this appeared on my cleavage, but now, the only thing that may have hurt that area, is the laser. Is it possible?
This is my first flare. I'm recovering from severe HS flare in my armpit that happened while travelling - I'd had small bumps in both armpits on and off for the past year but this was much worse and very painful so I went to the hospital and a dermatologist diagnosed HS. They injected cortisone which helped calm things and gave me doxycycline to take until it completely clears up. It's been 3 weeks, it's better but not 100% gone. I'd like to try laser hair removal ASAP if it's safe to do so.
I have a small painless lump on my left armpit. There are also what looks like 3 enlarged pores at the bottom of the lump that are similar to the attached photo (but without redness.) The lump is same color as my skin and was probably caused by shaving? Is it safe for laser hair removal?
