2 weeks PO. I have reddish and purpleish spots on my arm after laser hair removal on armpit. Is there a connection? (photos)

Thank you for the pictures. However, it’s difficult to evaluate the area due to quality of the picture. Would be best to see your phasician. It almost looks more like raiser burn but seeing that it’s been there for two weeks it could be possible that you got folliculitis which is just an inflammation of the hair shaft and should go away on its own. If not you can always wash the area twice a day with warm water and antibacterial soap to help make sure the area is clean. This is not a burn/contraindication from LHR. Or it could be that your body is trying to push out the dead hairs and you need to exfoliate gently to help it along. 

I recommend following up with your Doctor for a formal evaluation and after care. We use a specific protocol of exfoliation, hydration, and moisturizing along with protection after laser treatments. Sometimes the hair follicles themselves swell and turn a red or purple color. Since you do have more sensitive skin I'd make sure your provider knows this occurred as this level of energy may be the highest your skin can tolerate. I wouldn't say this is normal, but it's also not something to be concerned about. The intense itching can be curbed with just an OTC hydrocortisone or Cortisone 10 applied after cool water.
