So glad I took the plunge and did It

I used to sweat through everything no matter the weather. Now I barely sweat out of my armpits and when I do it’s very minimal. I got 1 session of miraDry (some people need 2). So glad I did it. Recovery hurt (sore) but so worth it.

I have struggled with underarm sweat most of my life and after my consultation with Joanie it was a no-brainer to do a miraDry treatment! Amazing experience! I loved my experience here. I had miraDry done 8 months prior to my wedding.

I loved my experience here. I had miraDry done 8 months prior to my wedding and it was the best decision I ever made. I highly recommend Seattle Skin and Laser and recommend miraDry. My underarm sweating stopped instantly and it was nice not having to worry about it on my wedding day.

Trained nurses

As soon as I did this I thought to myself - Everyone is doing this but no one told me! It was a completely natural look. I didn't tell my husband but when I came home that day he said "you look cute today".

10 Q&A

Q: What is the best way to remove green/blue veins on my face? I am a 25 year old female. Already tried sclerotherapy (Photo)
Answered by Dr. GustafsonMarch 10, 2020

A: There are a variety of vascular lasers (e.g., Cutera, PDL) that can help reduce the number of superficial blood vessels.  Of note, some vessels may not be good candidates for vascular laser or sclerotherapy (especially important vessels like the temporal artery and vein).  I recommend you contact our clinic and schedule a consultation visit so we can clinically assess the vessels you are desiring to have treated so we can determine which vessels are good candidates for treatment, as well as discuss the expected treatment outcomes and risks/benefits of laser therapy.

Q: Can I get Exilis body contouring with the Mirena IUD?
Answered by Dr. LawlorFebruary 5, 2020

A: Yes. Since there is no metal, it is not contraindicated. truSculpt iD, coolSculpting, and other body contouring treatments should be safe to have done. I would schedule a consultation and discuss with the provider before having treatment done.

Q: Can Picosure Clear my Brand New Tattoo? (photo)
Answered by Dr. LawlorAugust 21, 2013

A: The only issue with treating a new tattoo is the healing time between placement and your first removal.  We usually recommend waiting 6-8 weeks.  You can consult with a dermatologist during that time to get the process started, work out financing, etc.

You have a lot of thick, black ink in your tattoo so I would recommend finding a PicoSure in your area.  Starting with a Nd:YAG is another option but you'll end up needing more treatments and it could take much longer to remove.

With any laser treatment you will run the risk of hypopigmentation in the area.  A "ghost" outline of where your tattoo was, its shape, etc. can remain.  All patients run the risk of scarring as well.  Please consider your history of scarring and whether you've ever had a hypertrophic scar before you begin treatment.  If you have, your likelyhood of scarring is much higher.

Q: Will the Underarm Look Completely Normal After Miradry Heals?
Answered by Dr. LawlorAugust 19, 2013

A: Great question.  The swelling and 'lumpy' feeling should subside after a few weeks.  Many of our patients do experience significant hair reduction.  Several patients with large amounts of underarm hair have reported a 50-70% reduction after the first visit.

Q: Can I Remove a New Tattoo (Maori Style)? (photo)
Answered by Dr. LawlorAugust 13, 2013

A: In short, yes, you can get it removed.  Your removal will begin as soon as your skin is fully healed from the original session.  I would recommend finding a PicoSure laser for the removal.  The PicoSure is the fastest laser on the market today.  Your removal will take approximately half the treatments as older technology like the Nd: YAG.
