Excellent Results!

Dr. Olding is a fantastic surgeon. His results look natural, yet are dramatic. My 70 year old neck was full of loose skin, wrinkles and was divided into 3 sections. It looked 85 years old and now is flawless with no scarring or bruising. I’m thrilled.

Natural looking results and symmetry

I have seen Dr Olding for 4+ years now and I've done Botox, filler, and a rhinoplasty with him. Simply put, Dr Olding is the best at what he does. He is an artist and he excels at providing natural looking results and symmetry. I'm in my 40s and I want to tell the Millennials and Gen Z's reading this review that if you're hesitant to see him bc he doesn't have a ton of before & afters or an Instagram account...there's a reason for that. The people going to see Dr Olding are people who don't want to be featured on a plastic surgery website. His clientele is discerning and discreet - they want to look like themselves but better. A few things about my experience: 1) Botox/Dysport. Injectors make all the difference. As someone who has had it done with 5 other providers in this town, I am blown away by how much longer Dr Olding's treatment lasts. Also, he makes me look refreshed but not stiff. 2) Filler. Dr Olding is not going to put filler in your face where it doesn't belong (no big overfilled duck lips). He will use it to replace volume lost, or to improve symmetry. You might even be surprised where he suggests you put it. In my case, he helped correct asymmetry I wasn't aware of and my face is more balanced now. 3) Rhinoplasty. My nose lost fat/collagen with age and revealed a crooked septum and slight dorsal hump that was not visible in my youth. Dr Olding gave me my old nose back, but much better! My results give my face better harmony without screaming "nose job!", and I'm so pleased. His skill means better healing too - my bruising was very slight and I was in public looking normal by day 6.

My nose turned out to fit my face perfectly - highly recommend

I recently had a rhinoplasty done by Dr.Olding and couldn’t have had a better experience. Dr. Olding was both honest and kind when it came to discussing what the outcome would be and I went into surgery feeling comfortable and excited. My nose turned out to fit my face perfectly. I love how it looks and how easy my post-op experience was. If you’re looking for an honest opinion and a true professional then I highly recommend Dr. Olding!

Never felt so beautiful - took 30 years off my 65-year old face

Dr. Olding is a highly credentialed, masterful plastic surgeon. He came highly recommended to me and I highly recommend him to you. I just had a facelift, neck lift and chin augmentation with him and I have never felt so beautiful. Not only did he take 30 years off my 65-year old face, but he knew just what to do to create the most beautiful, natural me - not overfilled, overdone, or pulled. My friends and family are astonished at how good and natural I look. I had spoken to other surgeons before I went to him. They were ready to execute what I asked for. Dr. Olding was different. He looked at my face and could immediately see what needed to be done to improve my looks, things I had not thought about. He was a partner from start to finish and I am sooooo glad I trusted him and his recommendations. I am so very grateful to him. His staff is Beth McCann and Joe D'urso are top notch as well. The Olding team kept me calm throughout, answering every question, and preparing me for what to expect. It was a great experience from start to finish. No pain and fast healing. If you want work done, don’t hesitate. Dr Olding is gifted. He is your man. You won’t regret it.

Online Consultation - Easy and Informative

During this Covid-19 quarantine time, I set-up an online consultation with Dr. Olding. He was so helpful answering my questions about getting an upper eyelid blepharoplasty and chin liposuction. Both areas have bothered me for years and he was extremely thorough in addressing my concerns. He also gave me new information and options that I had not considered before. It was easy to set-up the appointment and nice that I could do it from the comfort of my own home. I highly recommend doing a consult with him if you have been considering any type of procedure.

Neck Lift

Eyes and lower face/neck lift

At age 53, the skin on my neck was so saggy that I had an actual fold in the front of my neck, and I was starting to wear turtlenecks and high-necked tops as much as I could to hide it. Also, my upper eyelids were drooping, especially on the left side. I knew this was hereditary because my mom aged just the same way. My mom told me when she was in her 80s that she wished she'd had a neck lift when she was younger. I decided to be proactive because I'm too young for my face to be sliding down my freaking neck. I'd heard good things about Dr. Olding from a friend who had her eyes done by him and from my primary care physician who knows him, and his credentials are absolutely top notch. When I met with Dr. Olding, he was nice but very clinical and direct. This is not a guy who's going to hold your hand and tell you you're still a beautiful woman. That's fine with me. What he will do is give you honest advice and perform world-class surgery that results in a natural look. Dr. Olding and I agreed quickly on doing eyelid blepharoplasty. He said that eyelid blepharoplasty is the facial surgery that usually gives the most "bang for the buck" - it makes a big difference but is not a big surgery, relatively speaking. He recommended lower lid as well as upper to help with the puffy area under my eyes. He advised me that to do a neck lift right, the surgeon should involve the lower face as well as the neck to produce a more natural and longer-lasting result. Dr. Olding's emphasized that he wants his patients to look normal, not "done", after surgery. The way he explained everything made sense to me, so I did not pursue meetings with the doctors who advertised only "neck lifts". It's now been about a year since my surgery and I could not be more pleased. I had trust in Dr. Olding and his staff (including his nurse Beth and patient liaison April, who were both terrific). I diligently followed their pre-op instructions. My recovery was so fast (and virtually pain-free) that ten days after the operation, I put on makeup and had dinner with relatives, and they didn't notice anything different. Dr. Olding's follow-up care from was excellent - lots of appointments and personal time - he monitors everything closely. I have a small surgical scar underneath my chin that nobody notices. I have no scars or abnormalities on my face and I can wear makeup or not, and wear my hair up or down or however, because there is nothing to hide. Now I look at photos of myself before the operation and think, thank goodness for Dr. Olding and my job that generated the money to pay him! I look so much better, yet I also look like myself. Every time I do my face in the morning or put on a non-turtleneck top or notice my firm jawline in a mirror, I want to give the doctor a high five. I recommend Dr. Olding enthusiastically.

Breast Reduction

Breast reduction

Dr. Olding is excellent for breast reduction. The results are exactly what I wanted. He spent a lot of time with me before the surgery and was very responsive during recovery. The hospital was great as well as his office staff, from the person at the front desk, to Beth (nurse) and April (patient coordinator). I am so glad I chose him and I recommend him to anyone wanting to have a breast reduction procedure.

A Professional of the Highest Order

Dr. Olding has been outstanding throughout the entire process. He understood what I was looking for and executed flawlessly. His concern for his patients is most impressive, to include extensive post-op follow-up. I have never dealt with a greater professional and give him my highest possible endorsement.

32yo, One Kid, Breast Reduction and Lift - Washington, DC

I'm 5'2" and rather petite and always had a small chest, around 32A/B. As I gained weight through my pregnancy, my breasts also grew, and after she was born and my milk came in, I hovered around a G cup for the entire year I nursed her. Once she weaned, I lost the pregnancy weight, and my breasts lost all shape. There was no elasticity and I could pinch the skin and it would stay slightly peaked. They hung very low and were extremely heavy. I couldn't do anything without wearing a bra - going down stairs, having sex, you name it. Was too uncomfortable. If i wore a proper bra, all the skin crammed into it was a bit over a DD but then I looked like a busty cartoon character. So I pretty much always wore a sports bra to mash them flat and hide them. I'm also super active, so they were really bothersome exercising. I had to wear 2-3 bras for cardio, and certain weight lifting exercises were difficult with my boobs in the way. Lastly, they were different sizes which also made me want to hide them even more. I started to research doctors and interview them (most in DC area charged between $75-$150 for a consultation fee) and could tell the second I met my doctor that he was the one I wanted to use. Was thrilled that he wasn't the most expensive I talked to either. Surgery was 7/12/16. I got to the hospital at 5:30. Around 6:30 I met with the doctor, a resident, and a med student while I got all marked up. They gave me an IV, pushed in some relaxation meds, and I was out cold. Surgery took about three hours. I was super exhausted and it took me awhile to rally and be ready to wake up. Pain has been very manageable. Only once took the allowed two Percocets - before my first shower which I was terrified would hurt. Otherwise I've been taking a lot less than available. My throat was pretty sore for first two days from the breathing tube, and I'm still super exhausted, but wouldn't say I've been in true pain - just occasional deep ache/throbbing. The drains came out the day after surgery. I'm absolutely thrilled with how they look so far and cannot wait to see them continue to heal!! Updated on 17 Jul 2016: I've been most surprised at the lack of pain. I'm a bit of a scaredy cat about pain and am already done with the Percocet, and really only took them as directed the first day - everything else was one or two a day and I am sure I would have managed without any at all. Loving the size. Even a bit swollen and with gauze and the ugly surgical bra, I'm drowning in my button up shirts. So strange to not have them safety pinned shut! Went to the mall with my family and couldn't stop looking at my reflection in windows - I'm so proportionate! Only downside is fatigue. Feeling very tired but I think part of that is just getting my period also. Looking forward to the next milestone of wearing a non-compression bra.
