I saw dr ion in 2024 after two failed surgery under nhs . He is so kind and calm which immediately gave me reassurance . I felt instant truly that I am in safe hand . Someone you can trust . I was nearly 60 years old despite that Mr ion told me he can help me which gave me so much hope . I think he was the only surgeon I met that I feel safe . But I think by asking a few stupit question I lost Mr ion support . I did ask question not because I doubt Mr Ion only because I was under nhs and they were offering ear cartilage which I was sure it was a wrong choice for me . But by asking about ear cartilage again in my case I made big mistake and lost Mr ion support . That is my biggest regret of my life . I wish I never ask that question to lose his support . I still think he is one the most honest and nicest and talented surgeon in uk. I feel his patient are so lucky to be treated by some one like him .

I had a BA with Lucian nearly 3 weeks ago and so far I'm really happy with everything. The healing process is going really well and I can't wait to see the end results. Unfortunately I had an unrelated illness medication allergy to a new medication I started just prior to my surgery but he supported me through the whole process, he sent me to A&E, told me what tests to run to rule out any complications with the BA and was calling me every hour to check on me. Thankfully it wasn't the new girls but a severe reaction to my medication but even still he got me on for an extra check up to ensure I was doing ok and to check everything was healing beautifully. I honestly can not thank Lucian and everyone at Bella Vou enough for all their support. Updated on 30 Jun 2025: My whole journey from start to finish was absolutely amazing. I met Julia Ramos who was my patient coordinator and from the very first phone call she has been more than I could ever have hoped for, she has been kind, professional and so caring.My surgeon was Lucian Ion for a breast augmentation, the results are just superb, my confidence has soared and I am absolutely amazed at the results.My post op nurse was so attentive and caring, nothing was ever too much bother for her, even when my husband wanted a drink!I chose Bella Vou as my sister had a breast augmentation here 2 years ago and I am so glad I went with them, as every single moment has been beyond amazing.

This was my 5th rhinoplasty following a rhinoplasty which made no difference and then 3 very botched revisions by the same (well known) surgeon. I approached a few other well know specialists at the same time as Mr Ion who all refused to even consider taking me on as a case. Mr Ion was patient and understanding throughout the whole process. He is clearly willing to take on the most complex cases which speaks volumes about his skill and character. The operation was extremely difficult due to my thin skin. It involved a rib graft and fascia. It has now been 4 years since the operation and I can honestly say it has changed my life. I no longer think about my nose. It is a very natural result which fits with my face. I am truly grateful to Mr Ion as I have been able to move forward with my life happy and confident.

I had revision rhinoplasty (with a rib graft) and a chin implant with Dr Lucian Ion, and I’m so incredibly happy with my results. Honestly, the whole experience was just perfect. Dr Ion is amazing. He’s kind, patient, and reassuring. I had so many questions and worries, especially because revision rhinoplasty is complicated and lots of surgeons I spoke to didn’t want to do it. They said it was too risky! But Dr Ion never hesitated . He’s really confident with difficult cases, and it shows. My results look completely natural, exactly like we’d discussed, and actually much better than I imagined. People didn’t realise I’d had surgery - even my close family members just commented that I looked really well, without suspecting any cosmetic procedures.. Initially, after surgery, I was worried about minor asymmetries, but Dr Ion reassured me they’d settle, and they did, exactly as promised. Within a few weeks, I was already socialising comfortably, and no one noticed anything unusual. Any residual asymmetries (which were only noticeable to me) resolved over the next few months. Also, one of the reasons I chose Dr Ion was because he’s a member of The Rhinoplasty Society, which is the most prestigious rhinoplasty group globally. They only accept surgeons who deal with the most complex cases and achieve excellent results. He’s actually one of the very few members based in London, which really shows how skilled he is. I really think he’s one of the best plastic surgeons out there, especially for tricky cases like mine, and I absolutely recommend him!!

I had always been too scared and although had reached out to several specialists for consultations, not felt I had met a specialist that I trusted. Mr Ion is an exceptional surgeon, highly professional and most crucially through his significant experience knows exactly how to reassure and help you at extremely vulnerable moments.

Dr Ion is an incredibly personable and talented man. He was the first surgeon I met with and after our meeting, I knew that I did not need to look any further. He is passionate about his work, and as such would have exceeded in anything he chose to do. Dr Ion continues to be interested in tracking my progress and we have met for checkups several times during the first year. He is always on time and I enjoy going to see him. I couldn't be happier with my decision and the results.

Why would anyone fly from Beverly Hills, "the plastic surgery capital of the world" to London UK to have plastic surgery you may ask? Because Lucian Ion is simply the best! From the moment you meet Lucian Ion, you know that you are in safe hands. I first "met" Mr Ion in 2017 when I had a video consultation about my badly botched rhinoplasty. Doctors in the US didn't want to even attempt to try to fix it, goodness knows I searched, and having found others online in a similar situation, I was referred to him after he repaired and restored another with a badly botched nose. Noses are particularly tricky and he somehow managed to fix mine. The years rolled on and it became more and more apparent I needed a neck and lower face lift so off I went to London again and could not be happier. Mr Ion's attention to detail, his kindness and compassion are unmatched. We went over the game plan in tremendous detail and the date was set. The Weymouth Street Hospital is walking distance from Mr Ion's office and it is where he performs surgery. I spent a night in the hospital where I was given round the clock care. Because Mr Ion is so incredibly gentle with his patients, I didn't feel any pain at all after the surgery, just a mild headache through the night which was quickly taken care of by the amazing staff at the hospital. Shout-out to Suzie-joon and Arden, my nurses during my stay, they were wonderful. Mr Ion visited me the following morning and after he left I decided to go for a walk around town. Two days later I was on a train seated opposite two ladies who could not keep their curiosity to themselves and asked if I had done something to my face. The white bandage around my face gave me away. I told them in detail that I had a deep plane lower face and neck-lift just two days before and they were astonished that I was out and about and clearly not suffering. They asked for his contact information. One week later I had the stitches removed. There was very little bruising under my chin, just a little puffiness under my cheek-bones which dissipated over the next three or four days. I was ready to return to the US and work. The cost of the surgery, which included Mr Ion's fee, the operating room, anesthesia and an overnight stay in the hospital was around $24,000. Regardless of cost, I wouldn't even consider letting anyone else touch my face. Updated on 2 May 2024: I forgot to mention in my previous review why I decided to have a deep plane face and necklift. Over the years my face shape changed from heart shaped/oval to almost rectangular. Jowls had started to appear on either side of my chin and pulled down the corners of my mouth, one side more so than the other. I saw women around town with very obviously pulled faces and really didn't want that look, however I didn't like the saggy look of my own face. I am now five weeks post-op and feeling terrific. Mr Ion took into account that one side of my face needed more work than the other, probably because I sleep on that side, and lifted everything so gently that my face does not look pulled, the corners of my mouth are back to where they should be and all is perfectly balanced. Regarding the scars. I have extremely fine scars in front of and behind my ears, also very tiny ones at my temples. They are fading daily and last night I went out with my hair up, fluffed the sides a little and they were not noticeable. My friends and family think I look fabulous and one of them has already booked her consultation with Mr Ion with the idea of doing the surgery in June or July. It hung down like a turkey neck and I couldn't wear my hair up anymore. I also want to mention that the price of my surgery would have been at least double if not triple the price in Beverly Hills.

I had a Rhinoplasty with Mr Ion, and I’m so in love!! He really supports you before and after the surgery. Highly recommend! Mr Ion has made sure I was all ok before and after the surgery and makes you feel at ease. Amazing results, it was everything I wanted and more!

I've wanted to write a review for so long. But I'm back in the middle of life, so I don't have much time. But it is important to me, to help others, which are in a desparate situation- Like I was in for three years of my life. The surgery with Ion is now two years ago( bit more). I am from germany, next to Stuttgart, where a very known surgeon destroyed my nose, my whole face after an accident with a pupil, who jumped right into my face and my nose. I was 50 years old, mother of two and happy. After surgery my face was significantly changed, basically my nose and it’s features were deleted. Once fine and upturned, it was now broad and amorphous. I could no longer breathe and after a few months I could no longer work (school management), I needed a psychotherapist to be able to get through every day. Along the way I learned that I was not alone in this situation. It is a highly traumatic experience to no longer recognize your face. My husband was helpless, most of friends too. My children suffered bc. i was not the same. When no one in Germany was willing or able to restore my face, and I was traveling all over Europe unsuccessfully to find a nose expert, I found out about Lucian Ion in London. He already helped another victim of this Prof. G in Germany. So I started to improve my English and set off. My daughter and I decided to go with him straight away because he was so lovable and personable. I also knew many results and patients. I had done a lot of research. A lot! I had all the terribly pointless techniques on my nose. Tongue-in-Groove as just one example. But he did it! And how he did it! I.want to let pictures speak for themselves.
