Breast Surgery

I am a world renown breast surgeon and known primarily for my 24 hour recovery breast augmentation. I get better results and leave my patients with less discomfort and little downtime. One day recovery after breast augmentation surgery is the culmination of pre-operative planning, delicate and precise surgical technique, refinements in aesthetic management, and post-operative care. My patients are able to raise their arms before leaving the my state of the art surgical facility and leave with no special bandages or garments. Almost every patient requires nothing stronger for discomfort than Advil, many of our patients feel good enough to go shopping or out to dinner later that same day.

Body Contouring

I use a variety of different techniques for body sculpting. Tummy Tuck, traditional liposuction, 4D Hi-Def Vaser, Bodytite, & fat grafting. The most popular combination is 4D Hi-Def Vaser with Bodytite. Traditional liposuction is all about improving body contour by removing excess deposits of fat, VASER Hi Def is a technique that uses the VASER ultrasound fat removal technology to sculpt the body. Excess fat may be removed from one area of excess, and grafted (transferred) into another area where there is a deficiency of volume. Yet other areas, not noticeably excessive in fat are further sculpted to enhance the natural contours and form.

AFTER

Vaginal Rejuvenation

I have been a pioneer of vaginal rejuvenation for the last 10 years. Unlike most other surgeons I use a technique called the central wedge. This creates the most natural results with no visible scarring and a quick recovery time. Women who are looking to improve the appearance of their labia, improve their hygiene, or to relieve pain can benefit from this procedure.

43 Y/o Mom of 2 – Motiva Ergonomix 230cc with Preserve Method – 6 Month Update (Dr. Mark Epstein, Hauppauge NY)

I’m 43 years old and breastfed two children about 13 years ago. Over time I lost a lot of the volume I once had. My breasts became very flat and I went from having a fuller chest to looking like a small A cup. I always thought about breast augmentation, but I never seriously considered it because I assumed recovery would be painful, the results would look unnatural, and I would need to take significant time away from my active lifestyle. My consultation with Dr. Mark Epstein in Hauppauge, NY was originally meant to just explore the idea. I didn’t expect to actually book surgery that day, but after meeting with him I felt extremely comfortable and confident in his expertise. During the consultation he explained the Motiva Ergonomix implants and how they were designed to move and feel like natural breast tissue. He also took photos and showed me digital renderings of what my results could look like using 230cc implants. At first I thought 230cc sounded small, but the rendering showed a transformation from a small A to a full C that looked very natural and proportional for my body. Dr. Epstein also discussed the option of the Preserve method, which is a newer technique that preserves the breast tissue and is significantly less invasive than traditional breast augmentation techniques. This approach results in smaller incisions, faster recovery, and very natural results. Two things in particular made me feel confident choosing Dr. Epstein. First, he is a clinical investigator for Motiva implants. As someone who works in healthcare, I know how selective companies are when choosing investigators, so that gave me a lot of confidence in his experience. Second, he is one of the few surgeons in the United States trained in the Preserve method. Once I weighed the pros and cons, the benefits clearly outweighed my concerns and I decided to move forward. On the morning of surgery I had a brief moment of wondering if I should have gone bigger, but Dr. Epstein reassured me that because of the Preserve placement and the way the implants sit, they would look fuller than expected. The procedure was done under twilight sedation rather than full general anesthesia, which I really appreciated because I didn’t have to worry about the typical side effects of general anesthesia. When I woke up from surgery, I asked to see my results right away. I was given a mirror and was honestly so happy that I started cheering. The nurses in the room laughed and celebrated with me. I felt surprisingly good and alert. About 45 minutes later I was able to get dressed and leave the surgery center. What surprised me the most was how little pain I felt. I took Tylenol the day of surgery and the day after, and that was all I needed. I had normal movement and was able to go about my day fairly normally. The first couple of weeks were very manageable. The main thing I noticed was swelling, which initially made me wonder if I had gone too big, but that improved as the swelling went down. Dr. Epstein personally called me the first few days after surgery to check on me, which I really appreciated. His office even sent flowers during my recovery. Around the second week I experienced nipple hypersensitivity, which I later learned is common as the nerves wake back up. Wearing pads in my bra helped a lot and that gradually resolved. By week three I tried on some bikinis and that was the moment I really fell in love with my results. They looked exactly how I had hoped they would—full, natural, and proportional to my body. Even in my younger years I don’t remember loving my breasts as much as I do now. My confidence improved in a way I didn’t expect. I didn’t realize how much the loss of volume had affected me until I saw how comfortable and confident I felt again in my clothes. Now I am a little over six months post-op and just had my follow-up appointment. My recovery has continued to be amazing. My breasts feel incredibly natural—full, soft, and very squishy to the touch. They move naturally and truly feel like my own. My incision has healed beautifully. It’s very small (about 3 cm), flat, and has faded into a light brown tone with no redness. It continues to fade and is barely noticeable. I continue to receive compliments about how I look in clothes, and many people assume I’m just wearing a special bra to get that shape. Most days I’m actually not wearing one at all. Dr. Epstein has continued to be extremely professional and attentive throughout the entire process. Even months later he and his staff are always welcoming and available if I have questions, and I always feel comfortable reaching out to the office. Overall I am incredibly satisfied with my results. The Preserve method made recovery much easier than I expected, the Motiva Ergonomix implants gave me the natural look I wanted, and Dr. Epstein’s skill and care made the entire experience a very positive one.

I Had a Great Experience!

I recently had surgery, and Dr. Epstein was absolutely amazing. He was very detailed and answered all my questions, making me feel so comfortable and confident that he was the right doctor for me after my consultation. Now, three months post-surgery, I’m feeling great and loving my results—everyone is amazed by the outcome already! My recovery wasn’t bad at all; I only needed Tylenol for two days and was back to work shortly after. If you’re looking for a caring doctor who delivers amazing results, he’s your guy! I’m so glad my friend recommended him.

Great Experience from Start to Finish

I was referred by another cosmetic surgeon that told me that Dr Epstein was the best. Dr Epstein's staff were courteous and professional. From the moment I met Dr Epstein I knew I was in good hands. Dr Epstein was thorough and answered all my questions and put me at ease. He explained the procedure and the equipment that he would be using. I was then taken on a tour of his state of the art surgical facility, which is nothing less than impressive. My procedure date was set and Dr Epstein and his staff stayed in contact with me until the day arrived. The procedure went smoothly and recovery has been easy. Within 24 hours I was back to my day to day routine. The only pain medication I needed was a couple of Tylenol a day for 2 days. The experience was nothing but positive and the results are remarkable. After loosing approximately 70 lbs I felt uncomfortable how my chest looked. I would wear baggy shirts and was very self conscious when at the beach or pool. Those days are gone thanks to Dr Epstein.

Office Review: Exceptionally Professional Team.

Dr Epstein and his team have been so professional to work with. I called approximately 20 other doctors and none of them stood out the way Dr Epstein and his team did. I was very impressed with the systems they had in place to handle incoming calls to their practice and were very patient with my questions. The staff were able to answer detailed questions on the phone. Unlike most other surgeries that would refer me to pay for a consult quoting, " the doctor will talk with you during the consultation about that". As patients, we should not have to pay to see the doctor before knowing about the doctor. Dr Epstein has many videos online explaining his thinking and the way he approaches his surgery, and his staff were able to provide even more videos to help me in my decision process before paying a cent. Truly exceptional service that stands out from the other doctors I have called. When I see a practice that can operate so well together, I know safety is top of mind, as mistakes in medical care are so frequent and I would not trust a practice that presented in a chaotic and unprofessional manner during my first call to the practice. They have nailed the fine balance between being at the forefront of medical care and managing a business that ultimately supports the safety of their patients. My experience with this team has left a lasting impression on me and I will jump at the opportunity to recommend their surgery given the excellence they hold themselves to. Truly a rare and refreshing experience.

Unique Breast Explant Case

My Unique Explant Case…I will start by explaining my need for my most recent surgery was unexpected and something I was very unhappy about. Like all women, I wanted to look my best and underwent a breast augmentation 15+ years ago. I selected Dr. Epstein after consulting with 5 other highly recommended surgeons. Dr. Epstein spent a great deal of time going over every single one of my questions, concerns and ensuring he completely knew what I desired to look like post-op. He took 3D Vectra images of me and I looked exactly as the 3D Vectra imaging said I would once I was fully healed and I loved my results and was very happy with my 1-day recovery. I was a little fatigued the days after surgery but felt fine, no pain and was back to my normal routine very quickly. I never needed anything more than Motrin and to be honest, I think I took them just to prevent pain as I never felt enough pain to warrant carrying it around with me. I was originally a deflated C cup and ended up a full D cup. Fast forward 15 years…I had gained weight (possibly perimenopausal or just aging gracefully, who knows) and my breasts grew to a full DDD cup and I also discovered I had a genetic blood disorder, an underactive thyroid in addition to spending the past few years off and on in the hospital and with specialists for various medical conditions; gallbladder removal, pancreatitis, iron deficient anemia, and COVID. While going for a routine mammogram it was discovered I had a small nodule in my breast and was sent for a Breast MRI which also indicated that I had a small rupture in my breast implant as well. I would have never known without imaging as my breasts still looked amazing after all this time. Sadly, my team of specialists recommended that for my health I have the implants removed as I had more than 4 indicators that I had been experiencing Breast Implant Illness. I was devastated. I did not want another surgery and I did not want to even wonder what I would look like without my implants as I had had them most of my adult life. All I could think about was what would I look like, how badly the scars would look and what if they were wrong and I underwent this change and was still getting sick. Surgery again…. I did my due diligence and went to many surgeons and asked for their opinions, while also telling them what I was hoping to look like. But again, it was ONLY Dr. Epstein that took the time to actually care, listen, understand and reassure me that I would be happy with the results and feel better with an explant and a lift with a transfer of fat from the abdomen for fullness. I wasn’t convinced but after many discussions with family and friends I came to the realization that health is wealth and beauty can be achieved without perfect breasts. I underwent surgery, in a hospital setting (due to the medical clearance approval from my hematologist) and I followed Dr. Epstein’s pre and post operative care to the letter. I woke up feeling sore but no significant pain. I was up walking around right away. While I needed to stay in the hospital to be monitored by my hematologist which was truly precautionary, I was able to walk around, eat, drink and function as myself. I even stopped the pain medication within the first 24 hours as I didn’t need it at all. The results…aside from peeking when the doctors did as they checked for bleeding where the incisions were, I never really looked at my breasts in the first few days as I was so worried about the change, the wounds and the size. My hospital room had such a tiny high mirror so I was unable to really look at them until I got home. I was shocked, absolutely shocked. They barely looked different or smaller. They fit my body and Dr. Epstein was able to give me the exact results I was hoping for. I am literally only a cup size smaller than when I arrived at the hospital. I have had multiple post-operative check in appointments, and we have compared all of my pre & post op imaging and surprisingly, this explant and lift surgery results are exactly the results I got from my first augmentation surgery. I am very fortunate to have gained weight over the years to be able to have to have grown my own fat and end up with the most desired results. I am also beyond blessed to have a surgeon that not only was able to perform the surgery exactly as I wished but truly took the time to understand my goals and make them happen. Dr. Epstein also personally reached out to me multiple times after my surgery to check in with me and see how I was feeling. There is no medical professional, in my experience, that has topped this level of care and professionalism! He is one of a kind, a true perfectionist and top doctor in his field.

I am 73. Dr. Epstein came highly recommended and he reassured me that I was a candidate for a lift. It was the best decision I could’ve made. He is a true artist and perfectionist. He and his staff were wonderful preparing me. They patiently answered every question and I had a lot! I remember waking up after surgery and being surprised that I could move my . He and his staff called to check on me and even sent flowers whiarms even overhead without pain. I literally took one pain pill the first night in case of pain and 2 ibuprofen pills the next morning. That was it. There was no painch was really sweet. Today I had my one month checkup. I feel great and am so happy with my results. So grateful to Dr. Epstein and staff!

Gave me exactly the size of was looking for and I could not be happier

I had been thinking about breast augmentation for many years but was unable to actually act on it due to many concerns about elective surgery. Why would I have surgery that I did not actually need? Finally, I got tired of thinking about it (and thinking about it!) so, I decided to at least go for some consultations after retiring. Well, I went to Dr Epstein based on reviews and a friend’s recommendation and did not have to look any further. Although I was very pleased with the consultation, I still wanted to think about it some more (several years of thinking was not enough) so I waited another 6 months and finally decided to get the surgery. I was very concerned; however. I was concerned about the anesthesia, concerned that it would affect my very active lifestyle, concerned that I would be uncomfortable, concerned about infection, concerned about what people would say and on and on. Dr Epstein and his staff were wonderful and went out of their way to allay my concerns yet were very honest about any possible complications. I received detailed instructions about what I needed to do before and after the surgery and his wonderful anesthesiologist even called me a few days before the surgery and told me what to expect. After I spoke with her, I knew that I was in very capable hands. As it turned out, I had nothing to worry about. The surgery went very well and my recovery was just as Dr Epstein said it would be “one day”. I took a nap when I got home and when I woke up, I felt fine. I did not even need the recommended ibuprofen. I made dinner that night and had a completely normal evening. I was able to lift my arms over my head and did the recommended arms over the head stretching with no problem. I was sore to the touch by the incision and under the breasts (so I was careful to touch gently) but otherwise had zero discomfort. Within a couple of days I was hiking my usual several miles per day and waiting for the day when I could get back to more strenuous exercising. After 6 weeks, I was back to tennis and biking, and I just started working out in the gym again. My incisions are healing beautifully and every day the soreness (to be expected after surgery) is less. And as far as how they look – wow – perfect. He gave me exactly the size of was looking for and I could not be happier. I am highly recommending Dr. Epstein and his entire staff.

BEST Decision Ever! Natrelle 330cc Soft Touch Round UTM

I've been thinking about getting a breast augmentation since I was in high school and over the years have been taking the steps to do consultations and find the right doctor for me. Now at 25 I'm so happy to have found the perfect doctor for me and am thrilled with the expected outcome of my results. My surgery is scheduled for April 12th! I'm 5ft5, 128lbs with a slim build. Im posting my inspo pics and imaging results here. I will likely be going with a 275cc or 295cc to achieve a full C cup or maybe even slightly larger, but a natural look. I am getting boob greed haha! All to be discussed at my preop in 2 weeks! Updated on 12 Apr 2023: So so so happy with my results! I arrived at the practice at 7:30a and went into surgery around 8:30a. Prior to this I was instructed by my surgery to take 4 500mg Tylenol ES the day before and 1000mg the morning of for continued pain management, along with some of the other medications they prescribed me for reducing possibility of infection. Not gonna lie seeing the whole OR setup was definitely anxiety inducing but I knocked out as soon as the anesthesia kicked in. My doctor and I originally discussed a range between 275cc-310cc and he ended up being able to fit 330cc, which I was VERY happy to hear! My stats again are 5ft5in, 128lbs, slim build. I was a 32/34B prior to my procedure and was aiming for a full C! I got Natrelle Soft Touch Moderate Plus. I woke up around 11a and was very groggy, not too sore, but my throat was sore from the tube and my mouth was super dry. I have some water and goldfish then was out by 12p. It was about a hour drive home and slowly the anesthesia started to wear off so I could feel the pain and discomfort more. I hadnt taken my anti nausea meds yet so about 10 mins from home I started to immediately feel like I was going to be sick. Thankfully my mom grabbed my meds right before I let loose. Upon arrival at home she picked up 800mg prescription iBuprofen which my doctor prescribed for pain. I fell asleep pretty quickly only waking up to take pain meds. After surgery I was able to lift my arms over my head, and do so every hour for stretching of the muscles. I also went out for a quick walk with my partner and sister with no complications. Finally showered which was a little painful but manageable. Updated on 13 Apr 2023: I guess technically this would be day 1 po but messed it up in my last post lol. I’m sharing some more photos in natural light ???? I woke up with a lot of tightness today and pain. Unnaturally Im was up at 5a which I NEVER willingly do. I guess it was the discomfort, but made myself a breakfast took my meds and an 800mg iBuprofen to ease my soreness. Also sharing a photo of my bed setup since I havent seen anyone here do that to my knowledge. I hope maybe it helps some people. I have 5 pillows behind my head/back in an elevated position, with two firm pillows on the sides to prevent me from rolling over in my sleep. Also wearing a neck pillow for support. I have mild scoliosis and this resulted in no back pain and was much more comfy than I imagined! Updated on 14 Apr 2023: Forgot to share my before photos here! I was a 32/34B. Updated on 17 Apr 2023: So far so good. I had my check up on Friday and all that was said was that I was little more swollen than usual so Ive been icing a lot more since then. I think Day 3/4 was the worst due to extreme tightness. I felt like I was going to bust lol. Most pain is gone minus my incision sites and Im still pretty numb in each breast. Only discomfort is tightness! These feel and look a lot bigger than what I expected but no complaining ha. Theyve also softened slightly in the past 5 days. Updated on 28 Apr 2023: So far so good. Some minor shooting pains here and there as the nerves connect back together. I almost have full feeling back around each breast. Nipples are beyond sore from wearing a bra and just being hypersensitive in general. My left breast (right in photo) is slightly larger than my right (left in photo) but hoping that evens out with D&F! Updated on 17 May 2023: They are so much softer and dropping more each day! I fit into S tops just perfectly. Updated on 30 May 2023: They’re doing exactly what I wanted them to do in these tops! I still try to squeeze into size S tops but sometimes need a M Updated on 27 Jun 2023: Updated on 25 Sep 2023:

Liposuction of the abdomen, flanks and back with fat transfer to buttocks

I had liposuction of the abdomen, flanks and back with fat transfer to my buttocks three weeks ago, with Dr. Epstein and I was absolutely amazed with the results. From the moment I went in for a consultation to my post op visit last week, the Doctor and entire staff was great. Dr. Epstein gave me back not only the body I once had but also my confidence. He is a true artist!!! He understands a woman’s figure and I am happy to say that the procedure was not only a success but totally painless, I was up and about the same day. Thank you, Dr. Epstein and staff, for going above and beyond to make my wishes come true.
