Doctors

Arif Chaudhry, MD
Board Eligible Plastic Surgeon

Dr Chaudhry is classically trained at Minnesota’s very own prestigious Mayo Clinic in the full scope of plastic and reconstructive surgery AND he decided to pursue and complete a focused fellowship in breast and body surgery. After 4 years in medical school and 10 years of residency and fellowship, he is a true “surgeon’s surgeon” because he has also completed training in general surgery. He is considered a “triple threat”: a surgeon who is technically expert, academically smart and equally – well – to put it plainly – just likable (aka a good bedside manner). Dr. Chaudhry will be focusing his practice on all things breast, body, and face related. Although he could find a place for himself anywhere in the world, he loves the Midwest and is looking forward to making Omni Cosmetic his home.

Justin Wudel, MD
Board Certified Otolaryngologist

I had a neck and lower face lift on 12/30/22 and couldn’t be happier with my results!! Exceeded all expectations. Dr Chaudhry and his staff were professional, caring, knowledgeable and thoughtful. Fillers & Botox (male)

This review is to highlight Paula! I had surgery here 3 years ago with Dr. Ness for a rhinoplasty and am still a returning client. I've gone to Paula for all my injectables ever since my surgery. She is so warming and welcoming.. she also is very technical and pays attention to fine details for your face. I appreciate her so much and trust her judgement very much! Just the little things she...

Q: Concerned about tummy tuck and lollipop incision scarring after mommy makeover - advice?
Answered by Dr. ChaudhryJanuary 5, 2023

A: Dear Thriving,

Regarding you inverted T scars, they should fade over time however, if you have previous scar on your body for other reasons, it would be a good guide as to the coloration of future scars. Sun exposure can actually worsen scar appearance by either making them hyper pigmented or hypo-pigmented so I would sun exposure of your scars for at least 6 months -1 year or make sure you use a good sun screen.

360 liposuction isn't always required with a tummy tuck but that depends on your goals and also whether you carry excess fat in your back. The shortest tummy tuck scar potentially is a little larger than a c-section scar but that again depends on how much excess skin you carry and that needs to be removed.

Q: Can I get a dermal piercing in the chest now that I'm 8 months post-op breast augmention?
Answered by Dr. ChaudhryJanuary 5, 2023

A: Dear Intelligent,

As long as the dermal piercing is superficial enough and placed as sterily as possibly, you shouldn't have any issues as this point. Also touch base with your primary surgeon as well prior to getting a dermal piercing as well.

Q: Pain with movement on right side of abs and left breast 6 months after tummy tuck and breast lift. What can be causing this?
Answered by Dr. ChaudhryJanuary 5, 2023

A: Dear Powerful,

It's not uncommon to have pain in the abdominal area after a tummy tuck for up to 3-6 months. Sometimes this can be attributed to muscle spams and usually a muscle relaxed helps. After your activity level continues to improve, this should subsided.

As long as your breast look normal and feel soft, it is unlikely you have capsular contracture. Having pain with body movement, makes this more likely attributed to muscular spasms or muscle pain. I would trial a muscle relaxer and see if there is any improvement.

Q: Under eye area looks terrible and filler not working - what are my opinions? (photos)
Answered by Dr. ChaudhryFebruary 18, 2022

A: I would recommend a lower blepharoplasty that re-positions the fat of your eyes and total laser resurfacing of the lower eyelids and cheeks. That will definitely improve the contour.

Q: I'm a hairdresser. I want a tummy tuck/inc. muscles & breast lift at the same time. How long would I need to be out of work?
Answered by Dr. ChaudhryFebruary 15, 2022

A: Hi,

Even with muscle plication, you should be able to go back to work in about 3 weeks. I have a lot of patients back to work around the 3-4 week mark depending on what type of work they do.

Hope that answers your question.
