He truly cared about me, my results, my feelings

He is wonderful!!! He really talked me through what he envisioned for me and my facelift. He listened to what I was looking for and wanting. I chose to be awake during my surgery and he made it as comfortable as he could. He chatted with me throughout the whole process, answering questions, explaining what he was doing. The after care was superb! Again, he truly cared about me, my results, my feelings. I just love Dr. Campbell. I have a few other procedures in mind and I'm going to let only him do them!!

Upper & lower blepharoplasty, happy with results & would recommend

Happy with my results and would recommend . Although a painful procedure for me personally, I am quite pleased with the result. Staff was ok but seem to always be rushed. Conversation the staff initiated with surgeon should be kept professional and on subject. Follow up call from staff post surgery was always etiquette with past surgeons but not this one. However, I still recommend Dr. Campbell.

3 weeks post-op facelift & neck, his team was professional & caring

Amazing from start to finish … his team was professional & caring. The office is welcoming and I’ve never had any issues. Dr. Campbell is not only an exceptional plastic surgeon but he truly cares about his patients. I never felt rushed and he takes the time to hear your expectations and questions. I 100% recommend his services. Updated on 28 Jul 2023: Swelling has decreased and no visible scars at all. Jawline is looking amazing and at 60 I’m more confident and have no regrets. Thrilled with results. I never took any pain medication and did everything by the book. Highly recommend Dr. Campbell and his wonderful staff.

Tight Tummy Time and a Little Fat for my Face

So I am 59, 5’ 5” , usually 125 lbs but have lots of flab around my tummy and hips and my inner thighs are sagging. I am active and fit but cannot diet or exercise this away. About 5 years ago Dr. Campbell did an sms facelift which turned out very nicely but I am getting some sagging so I want to get help with that too. Since I am having some liposuction with my tummy tuck he is going to transfer some of that fat to my face where it’s becoming lax. I like that idea rather than another surgery on my face. Although I am nervous about the surgery as it is extensive I trust my doctor, have worked with him before and he tolerated 3 different consultations and a cancellation of my first appointment with good humor. I am truly excited to get rid of all my blarps as I call them, those rolls of skin and fat that just won’t go away no matter how many crunches I do and that get worse if I am too thin! I am going to take a lot of before pics so stay tuned and send me good vibes as I do you . Updated on 2 Jan 2019: So tomorrow’s my pre op appointment. I had my husband take pics so I can share my results but also to document how much of a change it really is going to be. I hope these pics are clear and can show the areas that I want to fix but maybe I should add a bent over view to show how much extra skin and fat there really is. Comments welcome but please be kind. Updated on 5 Jan 2019: I am seriously thinking of cancelling. I bought all my meds, scar patches, all the things I need for recovery but my fear and hesitation kept me up all night. I guess that I am afraid of tempting fate. I am healthy, 59 years old, and going into a 3-4 hour surgery voluntarily just to look slimmer......sounds super crazy. Most of all I am afraid of complications and have read many articles (science based) that say that it’s risky to have lipo and tummy tuck together. Also a dr. On this site said that up until Brazilian butt lifts became popular, tummy tucks were the most risky, Now I guess they are second when combined with other procedures. I have till Monday to decide but lose 10% of my fee, that’s ok they earned it, it’s the least of my concerns. I am as always interested in your views so please share. Updated on 11 Jan 2019: At this time I decided not to do the surgery. I am a believer that things that are meant to be smoothly, had some road blocks and decided not to do it right now. Gonna take some time to determine what to do going forward. Updated on 15 Jan 2019: I have now done my pre-op and have all my answers and have my appointment set for 1/23, good numbers, 123 ~ So full tummy tuck, fat grafting to nasal labial folds, marrionette lines and tear troughs, lipo of hips and inner thighs. Hopefully it all looks like I want it to and like some of you do who have had amazing results pcrutti being in the top 3 ! Thanks for your good wishes. Updated on 23 Jan 2019: I am pretty sure this is what it feels like to be hit by a bus. I will give full update after my post op appointment tomorrow morning. Right now I am just keeping pain meds on schedule and drinking lots and lots of water to flush out anasthesia. Updated on 25 Jan 2019: Last night was tough, I felt really bad and got a low grade fever but it passed by morning. My incisions are perfect, no oozing at all. I am not a big fan of drains but they appear to be working well and the color of fluid is headed toward light yellow ish pink. My next appointment is Thursday and I am hoping they come out!!!! Updated on 26 Jan 2019: I guess since my surgery was Wednesday that today is actually 3 days of post op healing. So I have been able to wean down my pain meds to as needed because I am really not in pain. There is a lot of soreness where the drains are located. I can see bruising but it’s not a lot and I actually feel alright. Not too energetic but am comfortable in my bed , feet elevated and binge watching reality tv!!! I hav been getting up to walk or pee at,east every two hours since I got home and I think that has helpedalot Updated on 27 Jan 2019: I haven’t mentioned much about my surgery itself or the people who took care of me but that’s coming once I am more myself as I owe it to them to be very clear. Last night was horrible, I read in many other reviews that there is cramping so I thought Ibwas prepared but this is different. It’s more likely me a constant spasm in all the fascia ( underlying layer of fibrous tissue) and it’s being pulled too tight. I tried a recluse net which helped a little but was in a part of the house that was freezing, so I did my best to duplicate it with pillows in my bed. Finally I took a muscle relaxer at 4:30 a.m. Feeling better now at 8:30. I think I have overdone walking and generally moving a bit.nPain meds work so well that’s he first few days that I forgot how intensive the surgery was. Do yourself a favor and put a sign by your bed that says ITS TOO SOON TO _________________ Fill in the blank with whatever idea pops into your drugged up brain. Lol tongue in cheek but true so take m advice, walk jthrough st enough to help avoid clots. Rest, enjoy your down time and remember to think good thought about wearing those cute shorts you felt uncomfortable in the the first summer event!!!! Updated on 27 Jan 2019: Sorry for all mistakes, I am a little messed up. But recluse net is recliner....auto correct! Who says recluse net??? When you get to the pan med part “that’s he” is that the.....read it as if you are medicated too and maybe it will make better sense Updated on 28 Jan 2019: Best day yet, will take pics for tomorrow. No pain at all, no discomfort at all. Drains get very annoying but mine are now not producing as much fluid and it’s getting less red which is a good sign. So far I feel great and with a lot of coaxing from stool softeners, magnesium, prune juice and lots and lots of water I finally pooped! You will know why I am so happy about that when you embark on your journey. Updated on 31 Jan 2019: One week since my surgery. I had my dr visit this morning. Perfect healing, no fluid build up, very little bruising, no problems. I did accidentally pull out one of my drains so they left it out, which was great. I think the best things I did to prepare was take vitamin c daily, arnica onto a 3 times a day and stayed very hydrated before and after surgery. My doctor , Dr Donald J. Campbell did an amazing job and was beyond caring and kind. I feel very safe in his care and I know my final results will be all I could have hoped for. Updated on 11 Feb 2019: Feeling better every day, ready to be myself again. I would be putting jeans on today but one spot on my incision is healing slowly so I don’t want the zipper to rub on it. One more week and I will be back in my jeans! I am now 120 lbs from 125 so there was weight loss and I can see the dramatic change in contour. It was a rough 3 weeks but I wouldn’t change a thing. Updated on 12 Mar 2019: My tummy tuck experience was very good. I was scared and had some reservations because of my age but it went well and my care was really good! The surgery itself is no little procedure, I knew this going in so I didn’t expect to be up and running for a while. It was just as I expected, I was sore, tired and stiff but Dr. Campbell was immensely patient with me, answered all my questions, had compassion for any issues I was confronting and never was anything but kind and professional.. I have had a facelift, ear lobe reduction, tummy tuck and lipo with him and would trust him with anything else I wanted to do. Nothing but great things to say about him and his staff. Updated on 26 Mar 2019: So I am about 10 weeks post op. My upper abs look amazing, like a little 4 pack (when I stand up straight) but my lower at abs have a little pooch which isn’t much different than before surgery, just the skin is tighter. Dr says 6 months is the timeline to see results so I remain hopeful but here it is. Feel free to comment and be honest. Updated on 26 Mar 2019: It’s 10 weeks post op. I am not there yet, I have some pooching around my lower abdomen. I am including pics so be honest but I think the pooch is the same as before but the skin is tighter.... dr says 6 months is the earliest I can expect to see final result so I guess I have to wait but I am not 100% happy . Maybe I am eating too much....

Car accident-trauma

My experience was an unfortunate vehicle accident that I was in. But I could not have asked for a better surgeon. Dr Campbell had a major part in helping to save my life and I can not thank him enough. In follow up visits when I was aware of things he was so kind and understanding and patient with me and I appreciate it so much. Him and his staff were not only great to me but my family and I would highly recommend him to anyone I know.

Breast Implant Exchange and Mastopexy Revision - Gainesville, GA

I had a breast augmentation and the Lollipop Lift done 3 years ago. I was very happy with my results but since that augmentation I suffered through several miscarriages and also had to undergo a total hysterectomy. I also went through menopause from the hysterectomy. I gained weight after hysterectomy and once hormones were under control I was able to lose 36 pounds, but it caused me to lose all of my breast tissue and I was unhappy with the way my breasts looked. I decided to have my implants exchanged (had 421cc Moderate profile Silicone) and I now have Sientra 655cc High Profile Silicone Implants. Both times my implants have been on top of the muscle. This time Dr. Campbell also closed up the pocket on the sides of my breasts where made an internal bra in a way that keeps my breasts from falling to the sides now. My breasts are big, full, round, and perky and I love them!! Updated on 15 Jan 2015: I have had a lot of pain since about day 2 or 3. I've been told this is to be expected from such large implants. I am loving my new size and shape. I totally recommend Dr. Campbell. I absolutely love him and have total confidence in him. :)

50 Year Old with Four Boys. This is my Birthday Present! :)

Well, who knew a birthday present could be so painful? I have an awesome surgeon and I am already happy with my results, and tomorrow will be 2 weeks. He is a perfectionist- my scar is low and my BB looks great. Can't wait to see how things look when the swelling goes down. I am so happy to have this site as it helped me choose my surgeon and I also use tips from other TT survivors! Updated on 24 Jan 2015: I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just started wearing cg and it makes a big difference. I couldn't figure out what is different with lower back-but I think the swelling has settled there right now. Updated on 30 Jan 2015: Hi ladies, the last week has been tough. Seratoma drained twice, then a possible hematoma. I've really limited my time being up to a few hours a day to help with swelling. I'm doing all that I can to avoid future aspirations. My bb is starting to look a bit like an outie.? Overall though, I'm happy and taking things slow and pampering myself. Massage scheduled tomorrow!

Loving life with boobs - Gainesville, GA

I am getting my BA surgery on 11/26/14. I go from excitement to being nervous. Only a few people know my husband and children. I am not sure if I should tell people at work or not. I am getting 350cc under muscle. Do I need to tell people? I do look forward to having boobs. I am 34a now I weight 118 pounds 5'4". Updated on 5 Nov 2014: So I am really excited. I paid for my surgery today and my pre op is next Wednesday. I am going to try to decide on my size that day. Such a big decision. I need some help from you ladies please. Is there anything I should buy now that I will need after my surgery, I see alot of you have purchased pillows and cream. What should I take to help with my recovery. Happy thanksgiving ladies. I will post pick after the dr hopefully I will get the bandage off. Updated on 1 Dec 2014: It is day 5. My breast are really swollen. They feel like bowling balls on my chest. My surgery was very easy I have no bruising I never got sick afterwards. Felt pretty good after the surgery. I am having some trouble with feeling so tried I am used to be very activity and this laying around is getting very old to me. How much longer do I feel this way? I haven't taken any pain meds since Saturday. What should I do for the swelling? Updated on 3 Dec 2014: It has been a week. I have my second post op appointment in the morning. I fell pretty good today. Just wish they would soften up. That's the only complaint I have other then sleeping on my back at a 45% angle. That is awful still haven't hit a good nites sleep. Hopefully soon. Updated on 5 Dec 2014: 10 days I can't believe it. I had my week post op yesterday. The Dr says everything is great told me to message them every morning. He said my left will be alittle lower then my right because that's the way I originally was before surgery and if he moved it up my nipple would point upwards. I can live with that. I am so glad I finely hit the surgery, my surgeon is awesome I can't say enough good thing about him. My breast are awesome. I can finely sleep on my side some which makes a big difference for me. They feel more part of my body instead of foreign objects attached to my chest. But still very tight. Bought a couple bras and they are so uncomfortable! I was a AA before surgery so I never had a noob to put in a bra so it is all new to me. They are starting to jiggle alittle and that's fun!! I think my scars look great. I haven't had any issues at all. Good luck to all the ladies about yo get your boobs. Updated on 17 Jan 2015: Hello ladies I am about 7 1/2 weeks out from surgery my breast implants are great. My breast are still numb in places but alot of the feeling has come back and the are really getting soft. i am keeping the steri strips on my scars and they seem to be helping. I have heard some say that the sientra gummy implants are not soft but that is not true they are very soft and they really stand behind their implants so if you are thinking of getting them go for it you will be so happy. 35 Years Old Birthday Gift to Self :) - Gainesville, GA

I am 35 years old and had breast augmentation the day after my birthday, talk about a great birthday present. :) I have two little girls (5 & 2). I breastfed both girls, even though many of the “old schoolers” out there did not think that I would be able to do so b/c my breast were so small. Well I proved them wrong and breastfed my first for 18 months and she stayed above the 75 percentile in weight for over a year. I breastfed my second for 12 months with no problems as well. So after my milk dried up, I realized that I was smaller than before my pregnancies. And I did not think that could actually happen. With much thought and chats with my husband, I decided that I was ready. I went for my consultation in November of 2013. My husband went with me to the consultation, we met and really liked Dr. Campbell at the first visit. I had read reviews of the doctor office and after meeting him, did a little more research on Dr. Campbell. He made us feel very at ease with the entire process and talked us through my options. We had just sold a house and were temporarily staying with my parents until we found another house. Once we closed on the new house, I had to do a lot of unpacking and painting so I had to wait a little longer before scheduling my surgery. FINALLY in February of 2014, I was able to schedule my surgery. My pre op was scheduled for March 5, 2014 and I had to get my first mammogram on March 3, 2014. Updated on 27 Mar 2014: I still need to get my pre op pictures on here, but here are some for now. I am still very high and really would like for them to settle down a little. It doesn't look bad with clothing on though, just without. They are starting to soften up a little and the muscles are not as tight. The right side is very sensitive, to the point that I can not even stand for my bra to touch it. I am sure this will pass with time. Updated on 27 Mar 2014: I started off as a 34A and had planned on doing 350cc, submuscular, gummy, HP implants. It ended up being 325cc on the left and 375cc on the right. Funny that my right side was so much smaller, b/c that was the side that both of my girls favored when nursing. I went in for surgery at 11:00am March 13. We were on our way home by 2:00pm. I do not remember the ride home at all, but do remember being in a lot of pain once we got there. It took a while for my pain medicine to kick in. I was in out all afternoon and throughout the night. The day after I was up and moving around a good bit. I only had to take a muscle relaxer after lunch. Well that night I quickly realized that I had over done it and of course had to take the pain medicine. As for the weekend, I was in minimal pain. My post op appointment was the following Monday, everything went well. The last time that had to take any pain medicine or muscle relaxer was 3 day post op. I am now at 2 weeks post op and hope that they d&f within the next 2 weeks. Updated on 30 Apr 2014: I am so happy with my decision and can not wait to show them off a little this summer :) They are starting to soften up and really feeling they are mine. At 3 weeks post op I started feeling fluid on my right side, at my 3 week post op appointment Dr. Campbell said that was normal and gave me a massage to do. Just a few days later my right side started to squeak LOL It really didn't bother me but at times the fluid feeling just felt too weird for me. It went away after about a week. Updated on 30 Apr 2014: At 6 weeks I started getting that fluid feeling and the squeaky sound, on my right side, again. Luckily I was going Dr. Campbell's office for a B12 shot and he took a look. Of course everything seems fine and again just fluid. He said that things are looking great and the pockets are starting to fill. They have really dropped and actually feel real again. I have days that I wish that I had gone larger, but I think back to my decision in doing this and it was to do it so that it looks natural and so that not everyone would walk around and know right away. I really feel like they look natural and that unless I tell someone, they would never realize that I have had surgery. We are going to Disney World in a few weeks and this will be my first time wearing a swimsuit out and I must say that I am pretty excited! Now if I could magically get the lower half of my body to get smaller, things would be perfect. I am so thankful to Dr. Campbell and his staff! They have been very patient and helpful through this entire process. My husband is going to see Dr. Campbell at the end of the month about a scar from a previous surgery (not by Dr. Campbell). I will post my 6 week and swimsuit pictures soon. Updated on 30 Apr 2014: Just to clarify this review is for Dr. D.J. Campbell at the Aesthetic Center of Gainesville.
