Well, who knew a birthday present could be so painful? I have an awesome surgeon and I am already happy with my results, and tomorrow will be 2 weeks. He is a perfectionist- my scar is low and my BB looks great. Can't wait to see how things look when the swelling goes down. I am so happy to have this site as it helped me choose my surgeon and I also use tips from other TT survivors!

I like the way you birthday shop:)  Your tummy look awesome, and it will only get better and better over the next few months.

I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just started wearing cg and it makes a big difference. I couldn't figure out what is different with lower back-but I think the swelling has settled there right now.

Hi! You look great! I have a question for you. I'm one week post op and my husband wants to go to Vegas for a long weekend over President's Day weekend. I'll be at 3.5 weeks by then. I got my drains and stitches out yesterday and successfully went to the grocery store this morning. I'm obviously still very stiff but am moving pretty well, though I get very tired by the end of the day. The thought of Vegas feels overwhelming. Since you're at the 3 week mark, I thought you'd be good to ask. Do you think I'll be up for it? Or should I tell him he's crazy?

Honestly, I would definitely not be ready for that at this point. Recovery has taken longer than I expected. I can only be active and up about half a day. So, of I have plans at night, I take it easy the first half of the day. My advise is to wait. We're going to Hawaii at eight weeks. Hoping I feel at least 80% back to normal by then!!☺

Thanks! That's what I'm thinking. I keep telling him he's welcome to make it a boys trip even though it's our anniversary weekend. And I don't love Vegas.....

I'm headed to Vegas next week and I'll be 3 weeks post op. I think I'll be fine just not able to do crazy rides or long hours on my feet. You should go!

Four weeks and a few setbacks

Hi ladies, the last week has been tough. Seratoma drained twice, then a possible hematoma. I've really limited my time being up to a few hours a day to help with swelling. I'm doing all that I can to avoid future aspirations. My bb is starting to look a bit like an outie.? Overall though, I'm happy and taking things slow and pampering myself. Massage scheduled tomorrow!

How did you know that you had a Seratoma? I'm so sorry! You look amazing! You're 50? You now have the body of a 20 year old! And I have 4 boys and 1 girl :)

Haha, that's so sweet of you. Don't look 20 at all though. Seratoma feels like a waterbed. You'll know if you have that!! So you finally got a girl?? I have to hope for a grand daughter! My boys are 19-25.
January 31, 2015
Yes she is right in the middle. She's a sweetheart. You will get lots of granddaughters!

Sorry to hear about this setback. You have to feel pretty good that even with extra fluid in there you look GREAT! I've seen some seroma photos... just saying. Massage sounds heavenly - enjoy! I can't get one until my new boobs will allow me to lay on them. :D

Thank you for the kind words! I'm having massage face up since I can't lay on my tummy yet! Can't wait though. ☺

You really look amazing! I'm also mom of 4 boys :) and I'll be 46 in a few weeks. Your body has definately aged much better than mine. With your seroma, how did you know? You can't see anything at all from your photos. I'm just amazed at how you don't look swollen either. I'm sorry you've had to go through that :(
