So I am really excited. I paid for my surgery today and my pre op is next Wednesday. I am going to try to decide on my size that day. Such a big decision. I need some help from you ladies please. Is there anything I should buy now that I will need after my surgery, I see alot of you have purchased pillows and cream. What should I take to help with my recovery. I am a pretty healthily fit gal, I go to the gym alot. I know that will be on hold for awhile. Any advise would be great.

This is so exciting!!! I'm pretty close to your stats... and I decided on a 375cc and I am thrilled. They don't look too big on me at all but I wouldn't have wanted any bigger...especially because I am so active. I need to post new pictures soon for my 2 week update..they seem to be getting better every day :)
best advice I can give you, get one of those sitting pillows with the arms. it was my LIFESAVER. and lots of bendy straws makes drinking a lot easier. AND PEAS. LOTS OF FROZEN PEAS...to use for icing the girls of course.
November 6, 2014
Yes I am going yo target today for a pillow for sure and the straws thanks. I looked at your pics and you where the same size I am now. The 375 look really good on you, can't wait to see the updated pics. How long did the Dr tell you it would be before you can be active (working out).

Honestly he didnt give me a time line... But I couldn't even walk a block without getting dizzy and out of breathe for a week after surgery. And then once I felt good enough to walk...my boobs hurt SO much so I had to get a soft no wire bra to wear only for exercise. I started going for walks.. Try to go a biy further every time. But I'm guessing 6-8 weeks before running.

32D, maybe DD after they fully heal/drop. but they don't look "big" on my body at all.
November 6, 2014
No they don't look big. They look really good. I hope mine turn out as good.

LIFESAVER....forget the peas, get two-three Ace reusable size large or x large cold compress, you can buy them on Amazon. They DO NOT sweat, and do not get gross and smelly like the peas. They are about $11 each, well worth it, keep one on the other in the freezer, they are very soft and pliable. Ice is your best friend the first week or so. The Ace packs fit right across your chest and into surgical bra (or over). I would fall asleep with one on, and if I woke up during the night my husband would just run downstairs grab a fresh one hand it to me and go back to sleep;-) I kept a chair with a tall back (like a kitchen chair) up against my bed for a few days, just helped with getting in and out of bed, something sturdy to brace yourself into bed and sitting up. Hope that helps!
November 18, 2014
yes thanks I will order those Order those tomorrow, did you take any thing for swelling and bruising. I see we're some do.

November 18, 2014
I did take 1/2 percet for a couple days and then when do advil for about 4 days, and the to extra strength tylenol for about 5 days. The perc really help you get rest, and rest and ice are the two things you need the most :-)

November 19, 2014
Awesome, You will love them, especially bc the fabric is soft and they are bendable. If your stomach can tolerate advil/ibuprophen will help with the swelling more then Tylenol. My PS prescribed 800mg of Ibupro, it's a little rough on the system, so if you use it don't over use it, and remember you can take tylenol/advil in intervals for pain management, i.e., if you take advil at 7am, you can take tylenol at 9 or 10am, but remember you can't take advil for another 5-6 hours, so staggering meds is important for pain management. Try to eat something small and light before and with the advil/ibupr especially. :-)
November 19, 2014
Great advise I I don't have any trouble with Advil did you tHese along with pain meds and muscle relaxers

November 19, 2014
I used perc for a few days but only 1/2 pill each day, no muscle relaxers. My PS didn't offer, I am sure she would have if I asked. The big thing is how is your pain tolerance? That will be a good pre-determiner for what you will need/want.
November 19, 2014
I think it is really high did the natural child birth thing twice lol hurt like hell but I did it.

November 20, 2014
I wish I had seen this 5 weeks ago. I would have loved those ice bags. In my medicated mind I was trying to describe an ice pack like this, that would have been perfect. ha!

November 20, 2014
Me to, natural on both, but got through it :-)! I have a fairly high pain tolerance, so you will probably be good to go. The best way I could explain to people when they asked was it felt like my milk had come in when I was nursing and I couldn't get it out, just very tight, like you worked your chest out really hard.
November 20, 2014
Ok got cha. I spoke with the girls at the PS seems like all them have had a BA and they say it is not that bad so I am hoping that's true. I only have 6 more days!!!!
November 18, 2014
I am 49 and getting mine on December 4th! I am very nervous! Let me know how you do!
November 18, 2014
I am so nervous but this site had really help me alot, I had my pre op last Thursday so that help alittle bit also just scared if all the what ifs.
November 18, 2014
I hear ya! I think I'm more afraid of going with the wrong size?? This site is a great resource though. I to, am going with 350 unders. Are you doing hp?
November 18, 2014
Yes HP gummies I was going 350 until my pre op and after talking to the dr and nurses I am thinking 375. He is going to take a couple different sizes and see what works best I have so little breast tissue he thinks the 375 will make me a fullC
November 19, 2014
I know there is not much difference between 325 and 350, but.......for some reason it is keeping me up at night. Lol... I am 5'5, 125 and am a small B cup. I would be happy with a med/large C. Is your ps going to try different sizes while you are under??
November 19, 2014
Yes he will try couple different ones. He and the nurses then decide what looks best.
