Tight Tummy Time and a Little Fat for my Face

So I am 59, 5’ 5” , usually 125 lbs but have lots of flab around my tummy and hips and my inner thighs are sagging. I am active and fit but cannot diet or exercise this away. About 5 years ago Dr. Campbell did an sms facelift which turned out very nicely but I am getting some sagging so I want to get help with that too. Since I am having some liposuction with my tummy tuck he is going to transfer some of that fat to my face where it’s becoming lax. I like that idea rather than another surgery on my face.
Although I am nervous about the surgery as it is extensive I trust my doctor, have worked with him before and he tolerated 3 different consultations and a cancellation of my first appointment with good humor. I am truly excited to get rid of all my blarps as I call them, those rolls of skin and fat that just won’t go away no matter how many crunches I do and that get worse if I am too thin!
I am going to take a lot of before pics so stay tuned and send me good vibes as I do you .

No I don’t have any separation but I am leaving it up to the doctor to decide when he sees up close. Sometimes I understand they do what’s called corsetting that just makes muscles even tighter whether they are separated or not. It is scheduled for Weds morning!!!!

Photos before my pre op appointment

So tomorrow’s my pre op appointment. I had my husband take pics so I can share my results but also to document how much of a change it really is going to be. I hope these pics are clear and can show the areas that I want to fix but maybe I should add a bent over view to show how much extra skin and fat there really is. Comments welcome but please be kind.

I'm scheduled two weeks from tomorrow for a TT and an upper eyelid tuck.... and am a nervous wreck. You look great as you are, but I'm sure you'll look and feel amazing when the recovery is over. Keep us updated...I'll be hoping to hear how easy your recovery goes to ease my anxiety :). Good Luck! I'm sure you'll do great !!

Pippa I know the nerves are real but you would be a bit crazy if you weren't a little nervous! I am too but I keep a mental picture of my recovery being pretty painless (with meds) and my results being just what I had hoped for, a little tighter and a little narrower in the hips. Good luck to you !! Post pics!

Second thoughts

I am seriously thinking of cancelling. I bought all my meds, scar patches, all the things I need for recovery but my fear and hesitation kept me up all night.
I guess that I am afraid of tempting fate. I am healthy, 59 years old, and going into a 3-4 hour surgery voluntarily just to look slimmer......sounds super crazy. Most of all I am afraid of complications and have read many articles (science based) that say that it’s risky to have lipo and tummy tuck together.
Also a dr. On this site said that up until Brazilian butt lifts became popular, tummy tucks were the most risky, Now I guess they are second when combined with other procedures.
I have till Monday to decide but lose 10% of my fee, that’s ok they earned it, it’s the least of my concerns. I am as always interested in your views so please share.

I had a tummy tuck , muscle repair and lipo. Feel free to look at my before and after pics I was 54 at the time of my surgery. 5'5 140lbs at the time of my surgery. I now weigh 128 and love the results. I would say go for it!!! I had an excellent surgeon and his staff was top notch. Dr. Weiler in BR , LA performed my TT. Feel free to reach out should you need. Good luck!

I so appreciate your good feedback!!! I am over the terrible fear now and going to move ahead and do it. My husband is on board, doesn't think I need it but totally understands my frustration at being stalled and not being able to get the results from diet and exercise. You are so sweet to share with me, thanks again

Oh my gosh! I think this was fate! After doing soooooo much research I finally had my consult with Dr Weiler on Tuesday. I am 55 and have been wanting this for so long and I stumbled upon your comments. I think this was a sign. thank you for helping others decide. I am so scared of the recovery and not being able to work out afterwards. It's such a struggle to keep my weight down since I'm only 5" tall. I work out 5 x's a week now. Can you please tell me more about your experience and recovery? Thank you! And thank you Susan for sharing your journey! You ladies rock!

I had tummy and breasts implants. I went through similar feelings. Love the results now but wouldn't do it if I had any doubts.

That's great! If you weren't nervous you would be a little nuts haha it's not like a root canal it's major...but your trust in your doctor is key. I have immense trust in mine which helps alleviate the panic. I am in the final twelve hours....go in tomorrow at 7 am :). I'll let you know how it goes!
