9 months ago, I had surgery on both my upper and lower eyelids. My upper eyelids are now uneven, which is a bit frustrating. While the bags under my eyes are gone, they've been replaced by lots of wrinkles and some bumpy areas on the outer corners. The doctor mentioned he could even out my upper eyelids, but unfortunately, theres nothing he can do about the lower ones since theres no extra skin to take out safely. m feeling really down about the way I look lately. Every time I smile, those wrinkles and uneven areas seem to make me appear much older than I am. Even a slight smile reveals these concerns instantly. Doctors, I would appreciate a second opinion on this. Im hesitant to commit to regular Botox treatments every few months as my current doctor has suggested!
1 & 2 are after; 3 & 4 are before transconjunctival lower bleph. I learned from surgical notes there was no repositioning as planned, only removal. Did fat transfer from abdomen to tear trough & cheek. 1st wk when there was swelling it looked amazing. Now there's noticeable loose skin below the eye that was not present before. And I can feel the eyelid structure under the skin since there's no longer a fat pad on top. When I smile the loose skin takes a second to retract and feels so weird! I'm concerned too much fat was removed. The amount of lateral herniated fat was very minimal; rather the issue was mostly hollowness toward the nose. I was trying to improve the tired look and now I just look tired in a different way, with loose skin bagging/folding immediately under my eye instead of further down. I had a nice transition to the cheek but now that fat is gone and it looks like a round bug eye. I wish I had my old plump lateral lower eyelids back! Did I do the wrong procedure? I don't understand why a bleph was done if not to reposition the fat pad. Should I have done a fat transfer alone? Can anything be done to fix this? Can I have fat transferred back to the lateral lower eyelid where the new folds/shadows are? Is it possible the skin could still shrink/retract like it ideally would after liposuction? Any hope of additional healing or procedural fixes would be so much appreciated. Thank you!
Hello! I am 27, have had very deep tear trough since I was a child. My lower eye bags have always bothered me. I know tear trougha are a tough area for doctors. I am not willing to get traditional filler. I got quoted at 12k for a lower bleph. Im curious what yalls opinions are. Are my eyebags and tear trough bad enough to justify surgery? Or do you think I can improve it non surgically? Was thinking sculptra, or prp/prf. But worried that might be a waste of money and not really do anything. My eye bags themselves dont bother me much, but this deep tear trough line really bothers me. Any advice or personal experience appreciated. (I have heard horror stories of tear trough filler and fat transfers, let Me know if you have any experience with these)
I seemed to have developed a lower eye bag under just my left eye. It really bothers me, but Im only 25. I have tried caffeine cream, lymphatic drainage, sleeping ,diet adjustments, and nothing is helping. Id like to know if a blepharoplasty would be a good option for me
Hi! I hate my under eye wrinkles, dark circles and heavy brows. Would I be suitable for a lower canthoplasty? I feel like my under eyes have a lot of extra skin that result in the folds. I am 27, so I do not think it is age related. I also do not like the angry look of my heavy brows. Would a brow lift be beneficial?
I had a bilateral upper and lower blepharoplasty at 22. I am now 37 and noticing creepy skin due to aging based on my photos would you suggest I need another blepharoplasty? Also, I have noticed that my eyelid skin seems to pull to the corners. I am wondering if that is due to the technique my surgeon used when I was younger
