I can’t thank Dr. Fagien enough for literally “fixing” my eyes after a botched procedure in New York. From the moment I walked into his office, I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Fagien and his entire staff are beyond wonderful—professional, kind, and truly dedicated to their patients' well-being. If you’re out of state and looking for the best doctor, I highly recommend making the trip to Florida. The quality of care, expertise, and attention to detail is absolutely unmatched. I honestly wish I had come to him first. The results speak for themselves, and I’m so grateful for the positive change he’s made in my life. If you’re considering eye surgery or any related procedures, don’t hesitate—Dr. Fagien is the doctor to trust! You will not regret it!
Without a doubt, Dr. Fagien is THE best in the facial aesthetics industry. I am beyond happy with what he was able to do using just botox and filler. I feel like my face is completely transformed. I finally have a symmetrical, perfectly balanced face! I love the refreshed and youthfulness look of my face, and most importantly of all… it is extremely natural-looking. I have been getting injectables for years but this is actually the first time I have felt compelled to leave a review on Real Self for a doctor before. It’s because Dr. Fagien honestly just outshines all the other top doctors I have been to for injectables. He was so detail-oriented during the appointment and he spent a ton of time on me. He very carefully analyzed my face’s unique musculature and intricacies. And I can only begin to describe how remarkably meticulous his technique was --- I’ve just never before seen a doctor be such a perfectionist. And the results just continue to blow me away... I cant stop looking at my face HAHA. I finally understand all the hype about Dr. Fagien and why people come from the ends of the earth to see him! And P.S..... I also had a great experience interacting with his staff. They’re very nice, they are on their A-game, and they are smart.
I have been seeing Dr. Fagien for years. He is an amazing injector and surgeon. I know who I trust for my Botox and fillers injection. I've had injections with other doctors before, but I never had the result I wanted to achieve. Dr.Fagien is kind. He has the best manner, and talent, and cares for his patients.
This doctor takes so much pride in his work. I had upper/lower bleph and ptosis repair on 8/29/22. From the first visit I felt so comfortable. He takes sooooo much time with you during your visits. He has the best bedside manner. Office staff is great also. I'm still healing, but I love what I see so far. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Fagien 1000 times over!
My positive experience unfolded as soon as I arrived for the first appointment. The friendly, professional and attentive front office staff was welcoming. Time was spent explaining the procedure and answering questions. Dr Fagien's demeanor was casually confident, putting me at ease and allaying my acute apprehension. The procedure itself and recovery was surprisingly easy....no pain and minimal bruising and swelling. Am thrilled with my new refreshed, alert and rested appearance. A special thanks to Davina for her caring support.
I had several consultations in South Florida for my eye bag treatments. From the moment I met with Dr. Fagien, I was certain he was the most experienced. He looked at my face at all angles (unlike other surgeons) wrote down some notes and then came up with a precise plan. I know I'm going to be in excellent hands as his specialty is cosmetic eye surgery. Surgery is set for the beginning of March! Nervous...but so ready to look well rested after this surgery.
I've had Botox with 3 different doctors. One was great, with the other two I had terrible results. I learned that it all depends on the doctor. I started about 4 years agao with Doctor # 1. My eyelids started drooping, my eyebrows went up at the corners Jack Nicholson style. He never got my frown line area immobilised. Results lasted 4 weeks at best. Then I went to Dr. # 2. The results were great! It still looked natural. I can still lift my eyebrows slightly but not pull them together (the frownline is my biggest concern). Forehead and crowsfeet were smoothed out. I don't think anyone ever noticed that I had Botox. I just look younger and relaxed. I have been going to this doctor for the past 3 years. Around Christmas time I couldn't get an appointment scheduled when I had time though. Since I happened to be at my dermatologist I asked him for Botox. Big mistake! It didn't work at all betweeen the eyebrows and the forehead started to move again after just a couple of weeks. So I went back. He gave me another big dose between the eyebrows (30 units). I was sick for 4 days afterwards (nautious, killer headache) and hardly could make it out of bed. On top of it he charged double what I usually pay. Needless to say that in future I'll stick with doc #2 and make sure that I schedule appointments in time. Updated on May 8, 2009:
So sorry I wasted my time and money on Dr. Steven Fagien and his subpar practice in Boca Raton, Florida. Flew in for a consult. The cheesy office interior was what struck me at first impression followed by the staff having lunch right behind the glassed receptionist area with the pungent odor of whatever they were having filling the reception...not good...guess there is no designated 'lunch room'. Explained that I had an appointment when I was handed a clipboard of papers to fill and told that they are still at lunch. There were two unmasked Russian ladies in the reception area when I arrived.---a medical office with a 'no mask' rule? Guess it was Florida!----As I waited for my 'consult', more patients seem to arrive. ---All were called in as I still waited.---I waited an hour past my appointment time, went to the reception window and was told that I will be seen soon. Explained I had a return flight to catch, which did not seem to concern them. An hour and 45 minutes later after a second reception window visit by me is when I was finally taken in. A lady named Devina came in and seemed to want to kill time with nonsense questions about my name and age and questions that were in front of her on paper in ;black and white'. Explained to her that it is two hours past my appointment and I have a return flight to catch! Dr. Fagien finally walked in and although pleasant in demeanor was rushing through my consult to as he put it: '...help me catch my flight!' He also mentioned at my '10 minute consult' that I am welcome to FT him should I have any questions which at the time I found very nice until I did decide to FT him!--- I was made to jump through hoops and explain why I wanted to FT him?! I also was asked questions on:" When did I see?? him and was it in-person??"---that is right! they actually did NOT know if I was in in-person or not etc.! FT appointment was supposedly set up but guess what ?! It was made for an in-person and NOT a virtual FT visit!----this was obvious when they tried to confirm the visit!---they changed this appt. to a FT after much back and forth and holding on phone! BUT guess what again?! it was cancelled the day before! and they made an excuse that Dr. Fagien has a personal matter. The FT visit date finally came but guess what once again?! Dr. Fagien apparently did NOT want to come to this FT call and wanted to send one of the assistants over...I let them understand I how I felt about this!...He finally came into the FT call and I was able to ask my questions BUT it was alarming to note that he had 'No Clue' what I had consulted him for when I did fly in previously! He apparently had 'incomplete' or 'no notes' on our discussions and only had things down partially!---This along with my experiences up to this point were alarming to say the least! One of Dr. Fagien's practice manager's (Danielle) immediately called me the next day to book my surgery. I explained that I was alarmed that Dr. Fagien did NOT know all that I had consulted him for?!--I also explained that I want to be conservative and booked an appointment for him to first use hyaluronidase to see if it solves some issues prior to any surgery. She booked an appointment which was 3 months away....yesterday they had a Sara call and cancel the appointment over VM... so two weeks before the appointment, and their excuse :...' Dr.Fagien has surgery at that time'...! Bottom line, this subpar practice is "out" for me as a professional myself! Never have I been treated with such disregard as a patient and Never have I come across such a sham of a medical practice!---do NOT trust the obviously solicited and glorified reviews and judge for yourself! They all have an 'acceptance speech' written below them just like at the Oscars! Can not fathom having any procedure, let alone surgery at this mess of a practice!
I have Asian eyes and went to the doc for a subtle correction to lift skin that was starting to sag onto eyelashes. During the visit he said he does a leading edge procedure with self dissolving stitches on the inner eye that he has written articles about. A reputable doctor and a fairly simple procedure - I didn't really think to investigate this technique further... Now it is a year later and I have railroad type of scars on both my eyes. (showing both horizontal scar and vertical stitch marks across too) I have visited a scar specialist and was told that most doctors don't use these types of sutures because of high risk of scaring and that they usually use regular sticthes so that they can remove as soon as possible. Also, he changed the fundamental shape of my eyelid to a more European look which is not what I asked for. I specifically said that I like my Asian eye and it's taken a long time to start to come to terms that I don't look like myself when I look in the mirror. Updated on 15 Jan 2023: To post an update - yep still scars on the eyes. The scars do not sit in the crease of the eye like they are supposed to but above it. Doctor offered to cut them out for free in his office. Thanks, but no thanks. Suggestion would be to start listening to what a patient asks for and if they like their eye shape DO NOT make it into something else (that looks super weird and un-natural). I was shown exactly 1 photo example in my consult and even in that one, the person had thick fake eye lashes covering the eyelid. This doctor needs to step into the current century and post his work on social media so that you can see exactly what you will get. Also, someone in this field really needs to listen and not try to change your ethnicity when they are happy with it. It is not mis communication but mis -listening and being set in one's ways. Afterwards I was told - oh that's just a frame, your eyes are still the same. Yes, my eyeballs are the same but my eyelid shape is sadly no longer there and it is so over corrected that there is no skin left to change it. Mansplayning and patronizing afterwards also pretty much a no no I would say as well.
