Breast Augmentation and Mastopexy

Ok I’m officially nervous!!! I’m scheduled to have a breast aug and mastopexy
on March 28th. A week and a half!!! Omg. I can’t believe I’m actually going through with this. Everything is paid in full and I’ve picked up my meds. Why am I freaking out now??? I have pretty decent boobs that look amazing in a bra but I miss my pre-baby boobs. Breast feeding literally sucked the life out of them! I was a full C cup before my daughter. I went up to a DD while breast feeding and then dropped to a deflated B when I stopped. It was horrible. I loved my boobs. Over the years my breasts have filled out a little more. I’m currently wearing a 32DD in VS bras but their sizing is off. I don’t feel like a DD and when the bra comes off I am not impressed. I’ve been told “You don’t need that [RS bleep]!” Lol. I don’t care. I’m doing this for me. I want to feel confident with and without a bra. I want to look like I did in College and have the option to wear backless tops or dresses. Any tips you ladies can provide will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

I think your reaction is normal. I had my surgery today. Last week I kept thinking my boobs look fine. It’s kind of like when I have a hair appointment and that day your hair looks great all the sudden! I talked to a lot friends who have had the same surgery. They all said they felt the same way a week before surgery. I went in fine today. Didn’t get over the freak out mode until yesterday. The thing that helped me was staying very busy so I didn’t have time to fret. I feel guilty about the money spent on this but it’s a done deal now! My pain is a 1 on a scale of 1-10. Just know that you are having a normal reaction.

Thanks! I’m trying to relax a little. I scheduled an appointment to meet with my doc before next week. I never tried on sizers and was leaving it up to him as long as they look natural. I’m worried about the pain. I forgot I RSVP’d to an event 10 days after my surgery. I’m hoping I’m not in pain and that my boobs don’t look super awkward. I’m thinking of wearing a high neck so my boobs won’t look super fake. I wonder how long they will take to drop. I hope my pain level is a 1 as well. Lol I hope you have a wonderful recovery!

I think you could go to an event on day 10! I’m more sore today than yesterday, but I was able to go out to lunch and do light shopping. It only hurts when I make a sudden move. Just set an alarm and take your pain meds every time. It’s best to stay ahead of the pain. I feel like I could easily go back to work Friday, but I’m going to take it easy and go back after 2 weeks. I’ve been worried about showing up at work with noticeably larger boobs. I think I’m going to wear a cardigan or vest to help myself ease into it. Good luck!

I made it!! I had to check in at 6:30a and I believe the surgery was scheduled for 7:30. Dr. Beran was awesome. We met before surgery to take some pics. He made all of his markings on my breasts and measured both sides. The anesthesiologist was great. He was charismatic and helped calm my nerves before I knocked out from the meds. So happy that I went with this facility. The entire staff was friendly. My nurse was knowledgeable about the procedure and really sweet. Her name is Samantha. I am so grateful for her. She assisted me in getting dressed and checked on me often until my ride arrived.

I’m really sore. I was prescribed pain meds, a muscle relaxer and an antibiotic. I was told to sleep on my back but I feel soooo much pressure when I lay flat. I’m using a bunch of pillows to prop me up. That definitely helps. It hurst getting out of the bed so I kinda just roll out. Lol. I woke up fine from surgery. I didn’t throw up and wasn’t dizzy. Just really tired. However, when I was home I got really woozy and nauseous. My face felt hot and I started to sweat. I really thought I was going to pass out. I ate a few blueberries quickly thinking that it may be my sugar dropping bc all I ate was crackers after surgery. That worked briefly and then I felt extremely nauseous again. I was on the bathroom floor thinking this is it. Anxiety kicked in. It felt like the end. Dramatic. I know Lol. Then it just went away. No dizziness. My face was cool again and I wasn’t nauseous any longer. So weird! My friend thinks that was from the anesthesia. I had a large soup and I started to drink the broth. I felt ok so I proceeded to guzzle the rest. I felt sooooo much better. I’m doing pretty good now. Let’s see how tomorrow goes...
