Dr Kruy and Nurse Joana is amazing! Did the smart lipo here and the staff is absolutely amazing! Dr Kruy was very patient and walked me through the whole procedure! Super grateful for him and his staff!! Amazing results
Emsculpt really made a difference on my abs and buttocks. I lost fat on my abs, my stomach look toned and I can see a four pack. My buttocks feels and looks firmer and it has been fun trying on new suit wear.
I am a 40 year old mother of 4 and tried everything to get rid of the extra fullness around my midsection and hips. I had SmartLipo and have never felt more confident than I do now. I am incredibly happy with my new body! I am forever grateful to Dr. Kruy, Kim, and his entire staff for changing my life. Keri was my nurse the day of my procedure and helped me feel comfortable and relaxed during the procedure. Everyone at the office is genuinely kind and caring. I highly recommend Dr. Kruy and his team at Finesse Cosmetics.
I had a Smartlipo liposuction procedure with Dr. Kruy at Finesse over a year ago and am absolutely thrilled with my results. From the initial consultation with Dr. Kruy I felt comfortable with him and the facility. I felt that Dr. Kruy was very honest during the consult and was not trying to sell me a bill of goods. He explained in detail why Smartlipo was better than traditional lipo, the steps involved in the procedure itself, the risks involved, the recovery time, and my expected results. I can honestly say my results have far exceeded my expectations. There is no workout or diet regimen that would have gotten me to where my body is now. Listen to his instructions carefully, go to your follow up appointments and be patient and you will be a happy camper. The rest of the staff were professional and friendly as well. I highly recommend Dr. Kruy and Finesse.
I had my upper and lower abs done along with my flanks. This was very painful for me as I have very low tolerance for pain. Its an motional rollercoaster. At times I see progress and others none. My weight was 174 on the day of the procedure and today Im 163. One month and a few days post procedure... I just started back on a workout plan. Still a little cautious as I am still very numb and have slight pinching pains from time to time.
I had my upper and lower abs done and also my flanks. I have been thinking of getting this done for a while now. I have two boys age 3 and 1 1/2 and while I am happy with myself I wanted to feel better about my midsection. My surgery went great, I did feel some pain every now and then but it was bearable. Honestly I don't remember much of it or the ride back home. As of right now I have some pain and swelling. I am using pads where I have the incisions and am leaking a lot. Have had itchy skin and sometime it does hurt. I looked at my belly and have noticed minor bruising. Pain meds are making me very sleepy and I am having a hard time find a position to sleep. Hopefully tomrrow is even better. I will do updates and post pictures. Updated on 29 Apr 2016: Still sore and my lower back is hurting today. Feels like a did a hard back workout. The leaking has stopped and now I am using just bandaids with Neosporin. In a few days I will start to do some binding. I am still swollen but look better today. I have minor bruising on belly, sides and back. On Monday I go in for a follow up. I took some pain meds because my back is bothering me but ither than that I have just some pain where the procedure was done. So far I am happy with my progress. I am eating healthier and smaller portions to get better results. In a few weeks I will resume my workouts. I will keep you guys updated on my progress. Updated on 5 May 2016: This is my 7 day update, Still have swelling and numbing. I am massaging 2x a day at home and will do the velashape in 2 weeks. Updated on 6 May 2016: Used the ab board under my garment all day and night yesterday and I can definitely see a difference today. I will continue to use it everyday. Updated on 7 May 2016: Skin is still very itchy and belly not as sore anymore. Still use my compression garment everyday and my ab board. I feel like it is helping me so much. I will continue to use it. Updated on 10 May 2016: Skin still itches at random and belly only really hurts on bottom where I am focusing most of my massage. I massage 2-3x a day with shea moisture mommy lotion. I have used this in the past after my other pregnancies and love this stuff. Still using the ab board and some days the ab foam. The ab foam makes me really hot so I only wear it for a little but when I do I can see a huge difference. Updated on 10 May 2016: Just to show a side by side of my progress so far
As you may be able to see from my join date here on the site I've been thinking about this for a while. I have unknown infertility which contributed to the breakdown if my marriage. I am 43 and don't see birthing a child in my future. Ironically, I've always had "birthing hips." So time for them to go! I'm 43 yrs, 5'8", weigh 178, divorced and single, no kids. So if you know a handsome wealthy nan, let me know!! Updated on 8 Aug 2014: will update this momentarily Updated on 8 Aug 2014: Post-op Day 1 8/8/14 They removed 2,750 cc of fat. I guess max allowable is 3,000cc. I feel quite light headed and very nauseous when I stand up. The pain is about a 4 when I move from sitting to standing and vice-versa. Overall it feels like I did a really hard workout. I slept on a plastic shower curtain covered by doggie wee pads. I was able to sleep on my sides and tried to alternate through the night. I also found I was able to sleep with my feet on the headboard to elevate my legs during the night. I'm not yet sure how I feel about my shape. I'll give it time. I'm also going to get my upper, lower stomach and my flanks done in two weeks. I do believe my shape would be terribly awkward if I weren't doing this. I still have a muffin top and belly that seem to be wider than my hips are now. I'm sad my curves are gone. this is not something that I realized would happen. I really just wanted my inner thighs so they wouldn't touch and it didn't occur to me to discuss the shape I was looking for. But like I said maybe when the flanks and upper and lower stomach are done it will be more balanced and my curves will be back. Updated on 8 Aug 2014: so some practical advice: -bring a personal advocate with you if you possibly can -make a scrapbook with idea of what you would like your body to look like and have that conversation with the doctor. this way you can both get on the same page as to what you think you look like and he/she can have a better conversation and expectation setting. -buy incontinence pads instead of Maxie pads. I then just changed them every 4-5 hours. I leaked everywhere with the pads. -buy doggie wee pads. I massages my legs while the garment was washing and trying. these came in handy. -have all cooking and cleaning done before. I did it and I wish I had. -Organize a stack of papers or things to sort or organize while standing up during recovery. You can only take so many walks and I didn't feel like being outside anyway lest someone see my packed pants and gimpy walk and ask questions. Updated on 10 Aug 2014: Feeling pretty great. Only took the Vicodin the day of and postop day 1. I can't express how much you should get the incontinence pads instead I'd regular pads. It's so messy. But I've really only had two incisions leaking. (be prepared to be grosses out) The incision on my left lower side-ish inner thigh would spew when I massaged my leg downward as directed. It went through the most pads and is still leakimg but just a bit and now it's an odd orange color instead of lighter reddish pink. I find this whole process fascinating fascinating but even this was repulsive to me. I finally told one of my friends today. She of course was supportive and curious. I find I'm feeling guilty about spending so much money on something so superficial. The swelling and bruising has set in. I can still see a change especially with yoga pants on, but the doc said the swelling would happen around day 3. Updated on 10 Aug 2014: I couldn't seem to get one from behind. Updated on 14 Aug 2014: I only had that one incision continue to leak. it stopped today. The areas worked in all feel incredibly swollen and tight. the compression garment is actually very soothing. The bruising also set in two days ago. Much less surrounding the cooperative leaky incision on my left leg. My right leg is purple and awful. I'm massaging like crazy. Updated on 17 Aug 2014: I'll post more pics soon. I just wanted to emplor you to google lymphatic massage. It is helping so much with the tight stiff feeling and I have heard it is wonderful for reducing bruising. Updated on 17 Aug 2014: Not sure why but the right leg is more bruised and stiff than the left. Maybe the doc did the right first? I also remember getting jabbed at some point during the procedure- do much my whole body jumped. I don't remember much else. Updated on 21 Aug 2014: Maybe it's because I've been do stiff and not active, but I feel as big as when I began. I hope it's just swelling. The bruised are nearly all gone. The family still doesn't know and I'm off to the Cape with them now. Two of them are nurses. Hopefully they don't notice the remaining bruises. Updated on 21 Aug 2014: Updated on 27 Aug 2014: Tomorrow getting my upper and lower belly and my flanks done. I'm actually more nervous about this than Round 1. I think because I vaguely remember some of it, like being asked to move a few times, but I don't remember everything. Wish me luck!! Updated on 27 Aug 2014: the bruising was all gone by Saturday. Not bad, 2 weeks and two days. Now I have the hard areas near the incision sites. I've read that us normal. I LOVE LIVE LOVE being able to wear shorts and not having them ride up because if my inner thighs. They still touch but I'm hoping that will change when the swelling goes down further. Updated on 1 Sep 2014: any idea what the red spots on my sternum are? The drainage is almost done. one spot on my right side is being persistent. The two most active incisions at the bikini line seem to have stopped. We shall see. I took a close up of the largest bruise on my right front/hip. Here is some bruising on my lower back around the two incisions there. I've been using Arnica gel and taking arnica tablets. This may have helped but it may just be because the upper body doesn't bruise as much as the lower extremities.
I am 24 years old and I gained about 15-20 pounds since I graduated from college. My lowest weight was during my sophomore-junior year in college at 133 pounds. Since then, I've gone up to 154 pounds (on day of surgery). I got smart lipo done on my upper and lower abs as well as my flanks on Friday, April 22. On day of surgery, I was extremely nervous. I took halcion, codene, cephlex, and other anxiety drugs. The RN also took my vitals and the doctor gave me a shot to prevent nausea after the procedure. I relaxed while the drugs set in, but my anxiety got to me and I didn't feel anything. After about 30 minutes, I was brought into the OR, and scrubbed. I remember feeling calmer at this point. The doctor gave me lidocaine shots (which was manageable) and made his incisions. The worst part was the administration of the tumescent fluid. There was some burning and pinching but the pain was tolerable. The laser was a piece of cake! It felt like a really good massage. The suction was okay for me as well. I felt that my lower abs was easier than the upper and flanks. The flanks were the hardest part - it was difficult for me to relax because there was pinching every now and then but the doctor was very good about checking my reactions and adding more tumescent fluid. Overall, the procedure was not painful. There was just some pressure here and there which made things uncomfortable. I honestly cannot remember how the surgery ended. My surgery started at 930am and I was out by 1pm. I woke up at home at 7pm. I was not in any pain, and I was able to go out to dinner with friends that night. Today marks my 72 hours post op - I am going into the doctor's office today for my first check up. I do feel sore but only when I try to get up and about. This is definitely not a lunchtime procedure and it is important to take it easy for a few days. After 24 hours, I stayed in and walked around the house (lots of laundry!). I also took a shower and washed my dressings. After 48 hours, I went out grocery shopping. I noticed that the pain is minimal when I am doing other activities. My stomach is still very tender and numb but this is getting better daily. I am also applying arnica gel while massaging the lumps, and starting to rub vaseline on the incisions. The draining has been manageable, and I have no noticeable bruising. I have been taking arnica montana pills and I highly recommend this! I definitely have swelling but so far I really like the results! The compression garments are another story, unfortunately. I already cannot wait to be out of them! I am also really itchy! I've read that this is normal and applying Cortisone has helped. I will be sure to update as I progress. So far, I am really pleased and excited for my results!! Updated on 26 Apr 2011: First day at work. Still very sore and feeling more swollen than ever! I weighed myself yesterday and I've gained 6 pounds. Also, all of my pants are too small! I am hoping the swelling goes down soon! The compression garment is really starting to get to me! I also don't know how much longer I can sleep on my back! Updated on 27 Apr 2011: Updated on 29 Apr 2011: One week since the procedure and I am in less pain. It is still difficult to get my body moving but much of the tender and numbness are gone! I am concerned bc the swelling has moved done to my pubic area. I also look much bigger than 24 hours post op. I did read that you get bigger before getting smaller so I am crossing my fingers! Also, I'm officially off all pain pills and antibiotics. I don't know if I should continue to take the arnica pills. Also should I bandage my incisions? I did one day and the incisions turned a pale yellow which scared me. Should I apply neosporin or anything? Updated on 4 May 2011: I am just a day under my two weeks and I cannot wait because this means bye bye compression garment! I am doing very well! My figure is definitely slimmer and much of the swelling is gone. I am still sore in places but the massages have been helping. Updated on 24 Mar 2012: ~1 year update (quick update with pics) - lumpy on the sides, which is more noticeable when you look at the back side, but went into the dr office today and he is going to touch up for $500. touch up surgery is scheduled for apr 12.
I am in my 40s and got smart lipo 3 years ago. I was satisfied with the results immediately after but since then, my body has changed shape for the worse I am afraid. I did gain a little weight (5 lbs) but feel like I look heavier than before I this procedure (abs and flanks)- particularly in my arms. I do not recommend this procedure.
So after much research I decided to go ahead with smartlipo at Finesse laser & Lipo Center in Waltham. I met with the doctor who seemed like he was in a little bit of a rush but still gave me my due attention. The consultation went great. They were honest with me and gave me options. I'm excited! I will update after surgery on Oct. 6. I will also upload before and after photos. Wish me all the Luck !
I recommend that patients take two weeks off from strenuous exercise after the procedure. They can return to the gym after that. I tell them to listen to their body. If they begin to exercise and they create a lot of swelling or soreness to back off. Many patients feel it helps to wear their compression garment while working out.
It's great that you are looking better after only 3 days post Smartlipo. We tell our patients that can expect residual swelling to last up to 3 months and that final skin retraction can take up to six months. Most patients show significant improvement six weeks post-op with continued improvement through six months.
As you are healing after your procedure your body is laying down fibrosis. This is normal. We begin treating our patients with Velashape 3 weeks post surgery, once a week for 3 weeks. This helps to soften up any firm areas more quickly. Certainly discuss your concerns with your surgeon. In general, massage (manual or mechanical such as velashape) tends to help quite a bit.
