I love Dr Thesiger!! First, someone actually answers the phone, knows me by the number on the screen and books an appt within minutes. The KNOW you... I have had and loved the basic treatments by Dr T and have always been happy. But these last two have blown me away! Last Sept I had my upper lids done. It was outpatient, I was awake by choice and I experienced hardly any discomfort. My bruising was what I consider normal and the results are amazing! I think the pictures speak for themselves... Updated on 6 May 2021: Facial filler. Had it done elsewhere while visiting family and felt uneven (cheekbone pic). Dr T made it look more natural (last photo) and evened it out at a very reasonable price. Thrilled with the results!
Dr. Thesiger is AWESOME!!! Super personable and easy to talk to. He has done Botox and filler for me multiple times. After moving to Maine I still continued to see him when I visited DC. I live in Washington state now and will continue to see him when I can. He did Bellafill on me and I couldn’t be happier! I just turned 50 and people think I’m 10+ years younger. Thanks Dr. T!
I had my some of the muscle under my chin removed and liposuction in the chin and neck area. I stayed awoke for this procedure I didn't opt to go under anesthesia. I had it done 3 days ago, and I'm very happy with my results thus far. It gives me a much younger look. I did it as preventative maintenance.
Well I finally did it and I'm so happy I did!! My journey actually began 15 years ago when I had gastric bypass surgery and lost 100 pounds. After maintaining the weight loss I was stuck with ugly sagging skin. I've always been a curvy woman so I managed to hide my "issues" with spanx like many! In 2007, I had a breast lift and an inner thigh lift. I was pleased with my new perky breasts and not having my thighs rub together with that bulging fat pocket at the top (I'm sure many of you know what I'm talking about). I also liked that the scar from my inner thigh lift is hidden in my groin area and covered by my panties. Anyway, many say people are paying to get hips and a butt like mine and believe me I LOVE MY CURVY BODY but there is a point at which too much of a good thing is a bad thing. I think I had WAY too much. So I entered into this journey with a realistic goal of just trimming some of my extra curves. After several consultations with plastic surgeons I chose Dr. Paul Thesiger in Chevy Chase, MD. I absolutely love him and his staff. He also performed my breast lift and inner thigh lift several years ago. I'll give a review on him and his practice later. Back to me, I had my procedure on Dec 12th so I'm nine days post-op and feeling great. My procedure was at 7 am and I was home by 2 pm. I actually felt much better than I had expected! I had everything set up for my recovery including my mom to assist my husband in caring for me and our son. I would describe my pain more as intense pressure. The abdominal binder that was put on me after surgery helped however because I had lipo on my thighs in addition to the tummy tuck, it was positioned over my abdomen and hips. Because of the difference in the ratio of my waist and hips, it wouldn't stay in the right position - that was a pain to deal with. Each day I've gotten stronger and stronger although I'm still unable to walk completely upright. when I went in for my first lymphatic drainage massage, Priscilla told me not to force myself upright too quickly as I don't want to stretch my incision. Of course I plan to listen as I don't want an ugly scar. Well that's enough for this post. I'll share my pre-op pics with you ladies now. Post-op pics are forthcoming so stay tuned! Updated on 5 Jan 2017: So I'm just over three weeks post-op and I returned to work this week. I'm still a bit swollen but able to see some results. I'm anxiously awaiting my second compression garment as the size large that I have is now too big (yay)! Once I get my new garment, I'll post pictures of myself wearing it. For those searching for a great garment I have the Marena FBM. It is a Capri-length garment which I needed since I had circumferential lipo on my thighs all the way down to my knees. The initial garment I had stopped just above my knee and it was pretty painful. I also saved money by ordering it from Amazon!! Here are some of my post-op photos. I promise to post more later. Now that I'm back to work my time is limited. I am also going for lymphatic drainage massages twice a week - and they feel GREAT! It helps with the swelling g and allows them to catch areas where scar tissue is trying to form. It is a bit uncomfortable when they massage the scar tissue area but I feel less and less scar tissue after each visit. Once I hit the two month mark I will have a few velashape treatments to address the cellulite and smooth out my thighs a bit more. Remember I started this process not wanting to become thin, but to keep my voluptuous thighs without the huge saddlebags. So far I'm enjoying the journey. I am anxiously awaiting the clearance to hut the gym so I can help reach my desired goal.
My motivation for getting full lipo with a BBL,was to get rid of my 3 month old preggers looking stomach to maintain that board flat stomach and the plump butt. I've never been preggers by the way and am not having any children. I'm newly divorced for the second time and I just want to have that hour glass figure for my new future. Updated on 29 May 2014: During my lymphatic massage visit today Dr. T saw that my stomach was abnormally hard. He took a needle and withdrew fluid from my stomach. I then had my lymphatic massage, today with hands and the sonogram machine. He asked the young lady to use the sonogram massage so it could loosen up the fluids for my appointment tomorrow. Another fluid withdraw. I'm still awaiting my clincher in the mail. Updated on 30 May 2014: I went in first thing this AM. And Dr. T got right on me. He numbed me up and pulled the fluids out with his handy dandy needle. I feel flat as a board now. I can even tell my stomach went down tremendously, that fluid is something else I tell you. It makes a huge difference. My stomach is so soft in some places now. He says I still have a little more to shed off. Can't wait! Dr.T and his bedside manner is something else. I wouldn't trade my decision for the world with going with him. He's in this to the end with me,and he let's me know it! Updated on 30 May 2014: I just got home and my squeem was in the mail. My doctor said I can maybe start the waist clinch next week he thinks. He's watching my fluid. I stay ahead of the game. I'm already well invested so I order items needed before time to have them on hand. Research is a mutha-helper. LoL Updated on 30 May 2014: Updated on 30 May 2014: Updated on 30 May 2014: I hate exchanging things. Having to ship things back and going through the waiting game again. WTF. Squeem too big. Updated on 5 Jun 2014: Updated on 5 Jun 2014: Updated on 5 Jun 2014: Updated on 5 Jun 2014: Updated on 6 Jun 2014: Updated on 7 Jun 2014: Question to everyone. I ordered a small squeem. I'm already on the 2nd row after the first day of wearing it. Do you all think I should return it and get an extra small? I wore it all night long, with no problem. Updated on 7 Jun 2014: Updated on 11 Jun 2014: I received my last lymphatic drainage massage today in my PS's office. Here are the final pictures. I'm going to need the bottom of my stomach to go the hell down! That side view is awful! Updated on 11 Jun 2014: So today was my last lymphatic drainage massage at my PS's office. Package of 10. Every other day since surgery May 16th. I have this hard spot on the top middle portion of my stomach that is NOT softening up. Yes, I've been manually drained with the needle twice already from my stomach. My PS today said he wants to do something called Carboxy Therapy on me,because this is not fluid. Of course, I've never heard of this, but I'm burning the internet up as I type this to find out what's what! I'm taking in consideration, I thought today was my last day of traveling 1hr.30mins every other day and then paying (the child I'm never having future's tuition) in parking, gas, and my time. No,no sister girls parking in Bethesda is not free! Garages which are an arm and damn leg and no it's NEVER validated. Not even on your surgery day. I'm almost paying what I paid in massages for parking,(Jk) I'll be damn! LoL. My PS today says to me while examining me, this is him talking to his office girl in the exam room with us,"LET'S PUT A NOTE UP,DON'T USE ANYTHING NOT ADVISED BY DR. THESIGER!" I replied, "what are you talking about?" I'VE BEEN FOLLOWING YOUR INSTRUCTIONS TO A "T"! Me thinking in my head, buying Palmers and Triphala and different garments. Following your instructions on the directic pills (prescribed) taking 2 instead of 1 or 1 1/2. Because he says this weight that's left is all me. The fat is gone,he says. He was talking about me using a LIPO BOARD,which ALL lipo clients use. I'm attaching a picture below. Mind you,it's flat at the top portion. I've stepped my exercising and everything up. I was already juicing and eating healthy before hand. I'm just like damn now. Anyway, I wasn't big before. Yes,per EVERYONE I know says. People are really getting on my a** about spending this kind of money for around 10 to 15 pounds I could've lost myself. But,yes yes girl looking for a quick fix! Go in take it out and I keep it off. (Stomach only.) I had and have an a** and a shape already. Sistas I'm just blown on this Carboxy Therapy mess and wondering what to do. I'm awaiting your responses. Updated on 20 Jun 2014: I guess it's time to update my profile. I'm having an issue with my stomach not being flat. Ladies chime in on me if it takes the entire 3 months for your stomach to become completely flat. I would like to know how long it took for some of your stomachs to become completely flat? Today was really the first day ever I had what some girls call the itches. Man oh man this am was a shitty mess. I wanted to take a benadryl, but I was going out and didn't want to get sleepy behind the wheel. I'm experiencing sharp pains up and down my back and also all around my waist. It's not enough pain to take that prescription medication my doctor prescribed before surgery, but it's pain. I handle pain well though. I have a high threshold for pain. As for the garments and squeem. People I'm in my medium garment and my small squeem. The squeem I can actually sleep in all night no problem, then wear it all day too. I feel as though it's really not tight. I've only had it like 2 weeks I think. I had to return the large for a small at first. I just should have gotten an extra small. Oh by the way I use the 2nd hooks on the squeem. I also got my 1st stage garment taken up, it fits also. I'm unsure why I'm not losing any weight. But being real I don't care about the weight I just want my stomach flat as a board. Lipo is not a weight loss substance, it's a contour method. So I want more curves honey. I had everything in the beginning besides a flat stomach, that's why I did this. I'm feeling like I just should have left myself like I was. I say this because I exercise more now than I ever have. I've even included a bike ride almost everyday. When it's not raining. I juice every morning and I'm eating right. I take colon cleansers that my doctor recommended faithfully and everything. By the way the bottle says 1 a day on the colon cleanser and I take 2 in the am and 2 in the pm. I'm drinking pineapple juice and water. Nothings working! So besides buying all those garments/squeem. I'm buying organic fruits/Vegs a bike and everything. This is blowing me. Oh not to mention I have these hard spots on my stomach. One on the upper middle which is dark and two where my pelvic bone is, each side. I feel my waist and back skin really tight. It feels as though my skin is stretching when I move. While I'm typing now I'm about to take a benadryl for this itching it feels funny to my skin. I can literally feel my spine and my waists bones. He lipoed the hell out of those areas. Also ladies, I'm wearing the squeem faithfully and my waist is not shrinking. Does it REALLY work? WTH is going on? I need you alls input. Also, any and all recommendations are welcomed. Updated on 20 Jun 2014: I forgot to mention that I had 10 lymphatic massages after my surgery. Which are required for drainage. I had surgery on a Friday, by the time I went on Monday for the first massage my incisions had closed up. I had NO drainage out of those areas after Friday night at all.
I am 5'8 and weigh 165. I am also the only one in my family with no boobs ha! I’m looking to get HP Mentor silicone through the nipples on July 3. What a treat for Independence Day! That’s no coincidence btw ;)..... I’ve wanted this for so long but as a mom of three I could never just have a few thousand dollars to spend on myself. I went to one doctor and although he was called the "Best of Baltimore" I just didn't feel completely comfortable with him. I also felt like the sizers made me look fat (at the time I was about 185#) so I decided to wait a bit more and work on weight loss and saving money... I’ve been a lurker on this site for a few months now and have made the decision to do this now I’m so excited! I went for my first consult with a new surgeon and he spent a lot of time informing me of my options and outcomes. I have some sag but he said because I’m willing to go big that will help a lot. My incision will be through the nipple and I’m going btwn 500-525 cc. He seems conservative but I am more than willing to go bigger since I hear that a lot of women wish they had in fact gone bigger. My biggest concern is that everything is nice and even and I want my nipples to look nice afterwards. My nipples are pretty big but I still don’t know how they are going to fit that huge silicone balloon in there ouch! So I took the plunge and set a due date of July 3rd with a pre-op appt for June 25 where we discuss final size and other details and payment. He recommended Arnica Montana for bruising. He also said I would have drains for two days to help with swelling. He described how to empty the drains which sounds kinda gross but I kept a straight face ha! They will go in thru my nipples. He also said he will prescribe me an antibiotic since I have small children who bring home everything from daycare/school. He also mentioned washing with an antibiotic soap the night before and morning of surgery. My mom will be down here to help me for about a week after the surgery and after that I’m kinda on my own. The good news is that the kids are in camp during the day and I have about 2 months of vacation time that I am using to heal after the procedure. I have been on this site non stop since I made this decision! Updated on 24 Jun 2013: Updated on 24 Jun 2013: Updated on 24 Jun 2013: still getting the hang of this picture posting thing...i think i have it now. im going in for my preop tomorrow afternoon and i have a few questions about stitches, scaring and most important the whole capsular contraction thing which has me more worried than anything else....I know its no help scaring the crap outta myself for the next week but im really obsessing over the many things that can go wrong because it seems to happen randomly! At the same time i really want this and its now or never... Hope everyone is healing up and doing well! Anyone else with a due date the first week of July? Updated on 25 Jun 2013: So we decided on 550 moderate profile plus with a texture from Sientra. And its def gonna be July 3 with drains coming out July 5th. Is this really happening?! I have a care credit which is paying for half and im paying the other half out of pocket upfront. Ive been prescribed Valium, Percocet and an antibiotic.Im ready! He took some before pics which just were kinda hard to look at lol! And I also got my blood work done too. I brought my recovery bra with me to be sure I got the right thing….its a white danskin zip up sports bra from walmart less than $12 and they said its perfectly fine. I wear a size 36B right now (pre-op) and I bought it in a 36D since that’s the size im looking for. He gave mo a lot of info about what to do and not do like stay away from pet waste, aspirin, strenuous labor and lifting, and alcohol during recovery. He also said start the Arnica and antibiotic 3 days before surgery. Im gonna stay close to home because I don’t want anything to happen between not and next week! Im so ready! Updated on 26 Jun 2013: That will be a 550CC moderate profile plus for me, not the textured one. And ive been reading about pain killers cause constipation. I plan on keeping on top of my medication so i will add a laxative to my recovery bag. Ive started cleaning up and preparing the house for some down time. Ive also bagged up alot of my bras, many still had tags on them and ALL are padded yikes! My XOXO bras really are my favorites and im looking forward to replacing them asap! I was a little shocked at how much padding i was willing to wear to look like i have boobies! I lost some weight recently and some of the bras look so damn cup-empty....and secretly I havent bought a new bra in a long while cause I knew this Ms New Boobie day was coming... Updated on 27 Jun 2013: Ive been very busy today! Ive started cleaning the house because I know I will miss at least a week of cleaning while recovering. I started with the fridge because thats where I plan on keeping my recovery foods since I also dont plan on grocery shopping for at least a week. I will start on laundry tomorrow but I gotta say the fridge looks nice and brand new when its been washed down and scrubbed really good. Also Ive been working on making my 2.5 yr old a lot less dependent on me picking him up everywhere we go. So he has been doing a lot more climbing into his own careseat, climbing (with my help) in and out the tub, and climbing on and off the dining room chair for mealtime. He is catching on fast so clearly i should have been doing this a long time ago! My mom will only be here to help me for 4 days and then i will have to manage on my own with my boys. Im concerned as there is a limit on the weight we can lift for like a month! What if someone gets hurt and has to be carried to the doc? Both boys go to camp during the day and have to be driven there so I have to drive them to camp will I be able to drive? yikes what have I gotten myself into....im really excited but there is no one nearby me to help me right now (my family lives 4 hrs from me). Im hoping im one of the lucky few that recover quick but honestly ive read people on here that still feel like [RS bleep] weeks after the surgery. So far the plan is to cook plenty of ready to heat meals that i can just heat and serve (lasagna, baked ziti, baked chicken, soup, grilled chkn breast, mac n cheese etc) I will need at least 5 of these kind of meals and I can stretch leftovers for 2 days) plenty water, milk and juice for the boys, snacks, crackers, home-made, pre-made sandwiches the kids and just grab and eat, cereal, fresh fruit and veggies. I hear alot of good things about pineapple during recovery..... I picked up small ziplock bags cuz i hear the last thing i wanna do is struggle with a pill bottle. Im hearing that straws are a savior too but is that because lifting a cup is painful? Wow if I cant even lift a cup i know im in trouble with a two year old ha! I want to pick up aint-bacterial soap as recommended by my PS but im not sure which kind: like Dial antibacterial soap in a nice smelling flavor? or something more medicinal like something from a pharmacy? did anyone buy any special soap pre-op and if so what kind? I havent filled my scripts yet-waiting for my new insurance card to come in the mail but if it dosent get here by saturday im just going to go pay for it without insurance cause I need to start the Antibiotic 3 days prior to my surgery. Im just so excited and nervous about next week!I hear the first three days it feels like the same pain as if your milk was coming in but you cant nurse...how dreadful! I especially remember these times and the pain behind it and plan of setting a timer to when i can take my meds cuz that feeling is the worst. Hope everyone who had surgery today or still recovering is healing well and fast....take care :) Updated on 28 Jun 2013: So I filled my scripts today and ran into some roadblocks. First being that the pharmacy didnt have any Percocet which was pretty damn inconvenient since they had everything else i needed. No prob i thought, just call to another pharmacy so I dont drive all over town just to find out the other place dosent have it either. But the associate said they are not legally allowed to call another pharmacy and ask about a controlled substance..who knew?! So i asked for the number and tried to call myself and got the same message from the guy who picked up the phone. This seems a little ridiculous to me all I wanted to do was find out do they have it or not? And my insurance changed and Ive been waiting all week for my new card and of course it didnt arrive yet so it seems im stuck with doing business with this particular pharmacy that had my updated information. Fortunately when I got to the other pharmacy they did have the Percocet I needed so i was thankful for that. But when I got home I noticed they gave me generic versions of everything which has me a lil worried and Im not sure why they did that without my permission but they did. Do generic versions of these pain killers work as well as the originals? My Doc prescribed Percocet and Valium....Im def going to ask about this when I go in Wednesday.... All together the medicine costs as follows: Antibiotic Cephlaxin $1.00, Generic Percocet $15.00 and Generic Valium $9.00. This is with my insurance helping out. So the laundry is almost all finished so we will have clean clothes and fresh linens for about two weeks. Im expecting to feel better way before that but thats still one thing I wont have to worry about. I also stocked up on pineapple juice and I will pick up some fresh fruit next week. Im hearing all things pineapple are good plus I love pineapple juice so it works out. Take Care! Updated on 29 Jun 2013: oh man im reading reviews and stories like crazy..... Updated on 30 Jun 2013: Wednesday is coming hard and fast lol! Im staying positive by reading the reviews and stories of the ladies that are loving the girls and im looking forward to the day after! This is really an anxious time for me and Im very thankful to have found this site. I started my Arnica 30X Sunday (6/30), today (7/1) I will be starting my antibiotic and continuing with both till after surgery. Can I assume that I dont take my morning dose the day of surgery? Updated on 3 Jul 2013: wasnt prepared for the pain i hurt everywhere. im so sore and helpless Updated on 4 Jul 2013: I have got to ease off these pain meds....I had no idea i slept through an entire day and most of today! Im gonna keep this short cuz im really out of it Pros: Ive got incredible cleavage and side boob. im still swollen but im happy and bursting out of this 36D sports bra. I was worried i would look fat but so far it just looks great. my mom seems to think i look good but i just want the pain to go away. And my doc has been in touch so im really thankful for that. I will update soon... Cons: I feel like i have broken ribs and prehaps a punctured lung. Basically my whole upper body and torso hurt terrible and even breathing is a chore. Doc said take deep breaths every hour but damn does that hurt..And the vomiting is horrible...Ive thrown up 3 times today I dont even want to eat. Updated on 5 Jul 2013: Updated on 5 Jul 2013: Updated on 5 Jul 2013: Updated on 6 Jul 2013: Wow I didnt think recovery would be this rough. They are so tight and the muscle spasm remind me of braxton-hicks contractions they just come outta no where and i just try to breath through them! Getting up out of bed is hardest and sometimes leaves a burning feeling on my left side that knocks my socks off. And my arms are sore. I stopped taking the percs and valium because they made me feel like crap. I am switching between tylenol and advil for pain management. I am busting out this sports bra but then bought a new one that offered no support so hopefully in a few days i can go look for something nice a comfy. My mom left today to go back home and I had to drive her to the train station. I was able to drive her but I dont recommend this to anyone for a number of reason. Steering the wheel isnt easy, turning around to look for traffic isnt easy and just trying to be aware of the road isnt easy. I didnt tell anyone I was getting a BA and assumed no one would notice. But im pretty sure by the time I get back to work in August it may be pretty obvious. I will post more pics as I get better but right now I just dont feel like lifting my arms just yet. Maybe in a few more days. Happy Healing! Updated on 8 Jul 2013: Im starting to feel myself again and that is such a relief! I still sleep sitting up but sometimes thru the night i end up lying flat which then leads to a bit of morning soreness. And morning boob dosent just happen in the morning! I can feel my breast tighten up and contract and then i try to massage to loosen it up. They are sometimes itchy too so i slather them up a bit but i avoid the nipples because thats where my incisions are and i want them to close up completely before i do anything to them. So far they look real good but they are still healing. The tape is still on and I feel a lot of numbness on the side boob. Updated on 10 Jul 2013: Boy did I gain about 4 pounds and counting sitting on my butt! I go for my follow up Friday and Im hoping he gives me the okay to do something! Im healing pretty well but if Im not wearing a good strong support bra the girls feel heavy and uncomfy. Especially in the morning! Morning boob is nothing to look forward to lol! Today makes a week since surgery so this is all pretty normal i guess.my incisions look pretty good and having had a few C-sections I know that incisions can look pretty horrific for a while and then soften to look much nicer with time. But theses aren't too bad so far, I will post new pics today. Tried on a few of my old outfits and to be honest a lot don't fit comfortable across my boobs. Because Ive always been small on top and so i always wore snug shirts to kinda accentuate my push up bras lol! And the funniest part is some of those summer dresses that looked so innocent on my small chest take on a way new attitude when put on these 36D's! Its way too soon to know my final size but I have been buying bras sized 36D and they are pretty snug which I like cause im still swollen and snugly keeps my boobies from feeling heavy. My favorite bra is the white danskin in the picture above from walmart because it offers the most support for the "girls" but Im always on the lookout for a good bra till i finally D and F :) Updated on 14 Jul 2013: My nipples are healing but they are still red and swollen and im hoping the scars get better because one in dimpling and my doc suggested massaging to help with that. I posted pics of the nipples....the one without the pink post-it is the dimpling one... He says they look good and I agree, even with the thread-holes in them my boobs look great. I am still very swollen and firm but one has started to drop already yet the other is still high. not really visable to me but as tempting as it is I dont stare at them all day because thats when i will start feeling like something is not right lol! My body looks so much better with the girls and I would do it all over again! Surgery was not that long ago and I should know where things are alot more at my next months check up. Im feeling good and have started the massages and will keep updating :)
I have wanted boobs for 16+ years .. my whole life i had small boobs but after I had my daughter in 1995 my small B deflated into small balloons! Awful! I hated myself when I saw myself naked, clothes always needed a super bra, etc. I cannot tell you how happy I am .. went with 457 ccs silicone, under the muscle through the areola. I had my surgery on Dec. 26th and I hope my swelling is done because I think I am a DD and actually want to stay this size. I LOVE them!!! :) I took Arnica for 3 days before my surgery, had drains in for 2 days, am still taking Arnica and have been massaging - my recovery has not been that bad!! The day of and the day after were rough and then after that it has't been awful - it has been A LOT better than I thought!! Updated on 7 Jan 2013: Sorry some of my pics are upside down! Not sure if it's my iPhone or what .. Sorry! Updated on 9 Jan 2013: I wish my pics were not upside down! Updated on 9 Jan 2013: Some stats about me: 5'2 1/2", 128# (lost 30+ pounds in 2012) Not a 'tiny' girl .. healthy size 6, maybe an 8 sometimes Before BA I was a 36B - I could prob squeeze into a 34, but I don't like to feel like the bra is too tight so even though I measure 30/31" around my band, I wear a 36 Some stats about my BA: Natrelle 457 cc's, (when in doubt go BIGGER! I was going to get 425's) silicone, mod profile, under the muscle, through the areola, stitches that dissolve, drains in for 2 days - aiming for a D cup, secretly hoping for a DD Arnica pills, 5 pills, 3 times a day for 3 days before my surgery, Arnica pills, 3 pills, 3 times a day after, Arnica gel/cream for bruising and muscle soreness .. started Bromelain 1000 mg a day at 2 weeks post op (probably too late) I am going to post more pics shortly! :) Updated on 10 Jan 2013: Last night at 2 weeks post op I FINALLY slept on my back and not in an elevated position!!! Whoo hoo! My only mistake is that I forgot to put something under my knees to alleviate the pressure on my lower back. I will remember to do that tonight. SO happy I will finally get a full night's sleep! (Fingers crossed.) Other than that my recovery has been WAY better than I EVER imagined. I had one friend tell me she had a pain pack strapped to her for 4 days with morphine and another tell me her boyfriend had to bathe her. I told the 2nd friend I would rather not shower than have my other half wipe my rear end for me. That $%#^ isn't happening LOL!. Hope everyone is having a wonderful boobalicious day! xoxo Tips for the day - I heard that Beach Bunny has some nice swimsuits .. I am going to check them out. And Danskin, foam, padded, front zip sports bras are $11 or $12 on Walmart.com - I'm pretty sure Kohls is trying to sell the same bras for $40+. (That is what I wore home from my surgery and also what I wore for the first few days post op.) Updated on 11 Jan 2013: I went to another post op appointment today and feel a lot better about the way my nipples look. My doctor cleaned some stuff up in terms of scabs and some stitching remnants .. He says "I'm ready for Vegas" lol. I don't think they are too big but I just laughed and went with it. He also offered to "touch up" my nipples once they healed so they don't jagged even though they don't look too bad I mean the nipples pretty much got taken off and put back on so I wasn't expecting them to look perfect. ;) I will have some updated pics in a few weeks .. He says I still have some swelling despite the drains (highly recommended) .. I so wish they stay as big as they are now!!! Until next time! Have a boobalicious day! Updated on 12 Jan 2013: Forgot to mention in my last post that I would not let my other half even touch me for 2 weeks post op. No action at all lol! Didn't want to get my BP up or risk doing anything to the new girls (paranoid? Maybe!) and I have been living in comfy jammies and sports bras except that one night when we went out for dinner a week ago. Needless to say when I put on some new lingerie at 2 weeks and 1 day he was MORE than a little excited and our sex life has really, really took a turn for the best. (It wasn't had before, but now he can't keep his hands, etc off of me ..) #lovingit Updated on 15 Jan 2013: I must say I love this site and the women on it! Everyone is so nice and supportive and excited about their boobs LOL! I am hooked on this site and am so happy to be a part of the community! I'm sure my friends are tired of hearing about my boobs but I know you ladies won't ever get tired of hearing or seeing them ha ha! xoxo to you all! Have a boobalicious night! Forgot to mention that my doc had a special going on - I am getting free Latisse for me and a friend! Whoo hoo! Updated on 16 Jan 2013: Just posted some pics 3 weeks post op. I use cocoa butter every day in case you are wondering why I'm shiny lol. Plus it helps to see the definition of my implants and how they are moving. ;) Updated on 22 Jan 2013: I'm still loving my girls!!! Easy to look professional, yet in a heartbeat can look very sexy! Over the past several weeks I have been working from home, massaging my boobs every chance I had, while on conference calls etc., LOL! Yesterday I went into my office and I'm here through tomorrow and it feels so strange not being able to massage them all day whenever I want! I hope everyone is having a boobalicious day! P.S. I will post 4 week post op pics tomorrow night or Thursday. :) xoxoxo Updated on 25 Jan 2013: Updated some new pics .. My BA was Wed. 12/26 so I am officially 4 weeks and 2 days post op! I don't see a big change from week 3 to week 4 .. Do you? Either way I'm happy and am planning on going regular bra shopping this weekend or do you think it is too soon? #notsure Updated on 30 Jan 2013: Added a few pics in a well fitting sweater .. Not skin tight by any means. Unless I am in a bikini top or wearing something revealing you can't even tell I had a BA lol! Like I have been saying all along: GO BIGGER! ;) Updated on 30 Jan 2013: I have coined a new term for my boobs: "undercover boobs" because I can easily disguise them in gym clothes or my professional clothes yet in something skimpy or a bikini top I look like a different person lol! :-) xoxo Updated on 9 Feb 2013: Well I finally did a little bra shopping and did more clothes shopping today. (I love clothes shopping SOOO much more now!!) I am in between a 36C and a 36DD depending on brand. Seems strange how the size could vary that much. Granted the 36C was maybe a tiny bit too small, but I bought that bra just to wear for my other half since he is a fan of ill fitting, boobies spilling out bras LOL! So, I will just settle that I'm a 36D for now. I am hoping they miraculously get bigger but I hit the 6 week post op mark this past Wednesday so I doubt much will change except maybe the shape. Some things to recently report: There are still some mornings when I wake up with a little morning boob but it quickly goes away, I am still taking Bromelain, I was thinking of starting to ride horses again this weekend (we shall see), I have started with Vitamin E and emu oil on my scars and stretch marks and still alternate with some cocoa butter now and then, I am stretching and massaging as often as I can, I still love them and it was money well spent! Best thing I have ever done for myself in case I haven't mentioned it 100 other times. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat and the only thing I would do it GO BIGGER with maybe a slightly higher profile LOL! But, time will tell .. I trust that in a few months they will look exactly like the wish boobs I showed my doc. Happy healing everyone and have a boobalicious day! :) xoxo Updated on 12 Feb 2013: For those unsure about size - I went from a deflated B to a 34DD/36DD/38D depending on the brand and I did NOT need to buy a need wardrobe - I just fit into my old clothes much, much better! Granted, I have had to buy new bras and I have bought new sexy outfits and shirts, but surprisingly I did not need new sweaters, shirts or suits. You really cannot tell I have had anything done in regular clothes or my professional clothes. (see my pics). Please don't be overly concerned about going too big and go bigger than you think you want - unless you are getting 700 ccs ultra high profile, are a size 0 and have very little breast tissue it will not be obvious unless you want them to be obvious. Oh and REST after your BA - I mean don't plan on doing anything for 5 days straight except be a sloth! Take your meds even if it's only at night, the muscle relaxers are prescribed to you for a reason .. use them! :) Have a boobalicious day! xoxo Updated on 12 Feb 2013: If you wish you went bigger, check in here! http://www.realself.com/forum/went-bigger-check-in Updated on 16 Feb 2013: I added a few pics from tonight .. A new bra that fits well and a revealing shirt ;) Updated on 18 Feb 2013: I visited my PS today who not only gave me an AWESOME gift basket, but also some samples of some skincare products! At about 12 weeks, he is going to do a mini areola lift (not sure of the technical term) to ensure that my nipples are areolas look perfectly even! He is wonderful! It is a procedure that he will do right in his office. I'm not looking forward to stitches again, but am looking forward to getting a little nip and tuck ha ha! Otherwise, I'm healing great, my boobs are nice and squishy and look so natural! ;) Updated on 19 Feb 2013: Ok I am so embarased .. this whole time I thought I got moderate profiles when I just looked up the Stlye 15's and next to it is mid-range profile. I feel like a big dummy. WOW! Updated on 21 Feb 2013: I added another pic .. Trying to find some before bikini pics but there aren't many to be found! That is changing this summer!! Updated on 24 Feb 2013: When I was few weeks post op I got a wonderful, relaxing massage where I laid face up for the entire time. I sometimes prefer a very deep massage from this Asian place in the mall and decided that today, at 8 1/2 weeks post op I should be ok. Well, I wasn't .. It wasn't that it was painful but it was uncomfortable at times (only did it for 20 min) and at the end she pushed both of arms in towards my body. Um hello side boob being squished and now squeezed! Ouch!!! I was fine after and am ok now. But wow .. Note to self. Anybody else have any massage stories to share? Updated on 3 Mar 2013: I cannot believe this Wednesday will be 10 weeks (but who is keeping track). LOL! I will wait until I'm 12 weeks post op to post any more pics. Looking back through my pictures, my boobs never ever really "sat high" .. I guess I had so much skin that they just fell into place right away. I did see the progression of the swelling and the shape change a little over time. Once I have some time, I will post some progression pics and maybe consolidate the pics on my profile. (Too much scrolling.) I hope all you ladies are having a boobalicious day!! :) xoxo .. and, in case you didn't know where I stand on this - GO BIGGER while you still have the chance!!! Updated on 9 Mar 2013: Yesterday and today I finally rode and felt great! I tried to ride at 6 weeks post op and just felt weak and awful with no stamina. This past week I had to go to a big conference in New Orleans and literally walked miles and miles every day so maybe my body got back into the swing of things of being active! Anyhow .. hope you all are doing well! I will post pics at 12 weeks (I am 10 1/2 weeks now) but the girls look and feel so natural like they have been a part of me my whole life. I do often wish they were bigger and actually looked a little more noticable but everything happens for a reason and they are probably the perfect size. (Still having a little bit of boob greed LOL!) Once I start jumping my horse and riding more, going to the gym, etc. I'm sure I will realize that they are a good size for me. I hope everyone is having a boobalicious day! :) xoxo P.S. Before I got my new boobies I had a concern of them making me look heavy or fat. They actually helped slim me!!! I am a 36D and honestly could have handled a much bigger implant (I think). I have said it before and I will say it again - no one knows I have had anything done. Updated on 23 Mar 2013: I am Nordstrom's and am officially a 34DDD! Updated on 26 Mar 2013: I cannot believe I am 3.5 months post op! Where did the time go??! I am still thrilled with my results! I hope you ladies are all having a great day!! xoxo Updated on 10 Apr 2013: New bathing suit pic! Updated on 28 Apr 2013: Morning my boobalicious buddies or soon to be boobalicious buddies! I have not been on here in awhile. It has been over 4 months for me and I feel like they have been a part of me my whole life. I think that has been the coldest spring in history so I have not had a chance them off AT ALL! (POUTING) But, I am looking forward to show them off some at SOME point soon! I hope you all doing well!!! Sending love and positive thoughts your way! Love, NMBE! Updated on 10 May 2013: Hi ladies! I hope you are all doing well. Don't people know that making jokes or comments like "You should have gone bigger" should never come out of their mouths??! I mean seriously. I get it, they are not as big as I thought but keep it to yourself lol. That is like telling a man who just had a penile implant that his ding ding "Could have been bigger". ;) Updated on 9 Jun 2013: I finally got to show the girls off! We had such a cold winter that I literally have been bundled up until last week! I am loving them - they feel natural and soft, like I have had them my whole life! I hope you are all doing well! ;) xoxo Updated on 26 Jun 2013: I was just private messaged by someone calling themselves LoveMyBreasts. She was very insulting. I have reported this person to RealSelf but it really has me scratching my head - this website is for support, not insults. It is very sad that someone felt the need to go through the trouble of messaging me to flat out insult me. I hope none of your have experienced anything like that and that you are all loving your boobies!!! =) Updated on 3 Jul 2013: Finally, I was able to lay face down for a massage and not feel like it was uncomfortable! YAY! Updated on 10 Aug 2013: At 8 months my girls feel awesome like they have been a part of me forever! I wish they were bigger but I am loving them!!! :-) Updated on 14 Aug 2013: Recent pic .. Updated on 14 Aug 2013: Updated on 21 Aug 2013: I was wearing the same dress and a different bra in March. Just thought I would share. ;) Updated on 1 Nov 2013: Hi ladies .. I cannot believe it has been 10 months since I got my new girls! I am supposed to go back to my surgeon for a little areola lift in December which part of me feels like just saying forget it LOL. I really spent A LOT of time on this site after my surgery .. it was helpful during the emotional ups and downs and gave me people to talk to about my boobs. Goodness knows my family and friends were tired of hearing about them. Anyway, I hope you all are having a great year! I will post 1 year post op pics in December! Have a boobalicious day! XOXO =) Updated on 17 Jan 2014: I am going to try to post more pics but here is one. I love my girls! I still wish I went bigger! :-) xoxo Updated on 26 Jun 2022: Hi!! Figured I would pop in to post an updated pic from today. The girls are tan and look good LOL. They will be ten years old December of this year .. time flies!! I guess I have to keep writing a longer review but I still love them. I do sometimes with they were bigger and maybe a little more perky. But I am still obsessed!
Worse experience ever, nightmare surgery he ruined my face left me in pain and took my money and kept lying. Dr Thesiger will damage you and will not care all he cares about is lie to you and take your money. He did chin lipo for me twice and left me with huge lump and keeps lying and ignoring me plz do not go to him do your research he will disappoint you this is my before and after picture
I am a 45-years old male and had Botox on my forehead and glabella, 30-40 units on average, for the past 8-years and never was I ever disappointed. I always go to experienced practitioners in Chevy Chase or, when in Boston, in the South End. Usually, I am charged between $300-450 and my small–to-moderate lines are more than well taken care of. When I was in DC last month I saw that the practice of Dr. Paul Thesiger, Thesiger Plastic Surgery (Board Certified), in Chevy Chase, MD had a 40-units Botox deal for $398. I reasoned that, being said practice a supposedly respected one, it would not be a shady operation, not one of those “too good to be true” deal that are often found on GroupOn or similar websites. How wrong was I! The results are highly disappointing if not a total scam; 40-units, which have always worked amazingly well, had done absolutely nothing for my glabella and forehead. I am really trying to be balanced and optimistic here but no matter how I look at it, had I given those $398 to charity I would probably look younger (and happier). I had to wait about an hour before being seen by Dr. Thesiger. This was not in any way a problem given I had plenty of time that day, and delays are bound to happen sometimes. Dr. Thesiger apologized, no big deal. When I was actually seen I had a ‘gut feeling’ things were slightly off because Dr. Thesiger did not really spend any time asking me what I wanted or any past experience with Botox, or what I could expect from the units of Botox I was going to have. Neither did he ask me to frown or tighten my glabella (the ‘11’ lines), or look at my forehead lines when about to inject as it is customary. I waited three weeks before saying anything (although in my past experience, one week to 10-days is all it takes to show good results). I was also left with a sizeable bruise on the outer side of my right eye which went away in about 10-days. In conclusion, I spent nearly $400 for nothing. Had Dr. Thesiger told me “look, the way I administer/work with Botox, 40-units for you is not going to be enough to achieve any appreciable effects” then I would have been more than happy to discuss further options. But in the way I was handled I feel I have been totally ripped off . Unfortunately, nobody is going to care and, sadly, other people will probably experience what I experienced. I thought that being ‘board certified’ would somehow be a guarantee for the public (patient) that certain ethical principles would be adhere to, and that the practitioner’s professional integrity would be assured. Mere profit should not be the sole driver or the sole outcome but, unfortunately, in this case profit is the only important driving factor. I really hope my experience will be of help to anybody who is considering having a very simple and effective procedure from a ‘reputable’ practice with a ‘highly experienced board-certified physician’.
Excellent question. every patient heals at a different pace. The factors that affect rate of healing include the presence of a foreign body in the wound, nutritional status, and whether or not you smoke cigarettes.I cant emphasize enough how important the smoking factor is. There are new topical treatments that can accelerate healing such as Aquacel and so forth, however, you are looking at two weeks to three weeks for the typical course of recovery based on the photo.Paul Thesiger MDChevy Chase
This is an excellent question. When i was starting out i did a number of circumferential ops on patients who had lost a lot of weight. The main drawback is that the scar all the way around the body does not look good, and so I only recommend this for patients who have significant skin redundancy ( layers and layers of skin). The photos you posted look fine for doing a tummy with flank lipo and back lipo for a good outcome.Paul Thesiger, MD
Due to the fact that the implant is being placed deeper into the pocket there is some loss of projection when going below the muscle. That said, the difference is quite minimal and the benefits far outweigh the risks. The benefits include: less chance of capsular contraction and rippling, better implant coverage for a natural look and finally more implant cover for the fold which also mitigates rippling. Most of us who are certified go below the muscle, and its accepted to be the standard of care.Paul Thesiger, MDChevy Chase
Fortunately for you, the wide eyed appearance should resolve with time. This may take up to six months however, depending on how much dosing you used prior and your metabolism. The crows feet area represent muscle fibers from the obicularis occuli which is a circular muscle. Weakening the lateral aspect of the muscle prevents it from pulling the lateral eyebrow down, and hence, over time it tends to go up, creating a surprised look.Your doctor may have discussed this with you prior. It is very rare indeed to have permanent changes from any of the toxins, so time is your friend in this instance.
