Excellent surgeon. Mr Collis performed a tummy tuck with liposuction in September 2019, I couldn't be happier. I have every confidence in his ability as I am scheduled for an upper and lower eyelid lift with fat transfer to my cheeks in January 2020.
I had my breast implants removed at the Nulfield private hospital in Jesmond. The procedure was carried out by a Mr Collis who was excellent. This was obviously a walk in the park for this highly skilled surgeon and the whole procedure took 45 mins. I was really nervous but the staff were so lovely and reassured me all the way I had local anesectic and apart from it being a bit stingy going in I didn't feel any pain it was so fast , implants came out in perfect tact due to the skill of Mr Collis. The pain was very min and paracetamol was all that was required. The nursing staff right through to reception were cheerful and lovely . Anybody thinking of having their implants removed I would highly recommend the Nulfield and Mr Collis who's stitches were so neat. I'm thrilled I've had them taken out 600cc I didn't even have any bruising . I'm still healing and very happy.
I had an excellent experience at the Nuffield, Newcastle upon Tyne, where I had a breast reduction and lift seven weeks ago. Nick Collis is an amazing surgeon and a really nice guy. I’m extremely happy with my results and my scars which are so neat. All the staff at the Nuffield were so kind, helpful and professional, from the doctors and nursing staff to the receptionists and everyone else behind the scenes who made my stay so comfortable. Thank you all so much. I recommend this hospital and especially Mr Collis without hesitation. Karen
Hi there has anyone had an explant with Dr Collis @ the Nuffield Newcastle UK? I'm wanting the implants and capsuels removed just looking for other woman who may of had this done I have my consultation booked for 16th Jan. I have textured allergan implants so wanting them removed asap Thank you.
I could not recommend nick collis enough! I’m 4 weeks post op after having breast uplift with implants and I can’t believe how small and neat my scars are. I was so scared for the scarring from the uplift but I can barely see them now never mind when they’re going to be fully healed! I could not have been more looked after with the aftercare team at the Nuffield. Amazing experience and very skilled surgeon!
Nick Collis is an extremely skilled and very personable surgeon. I had a delayed breast reconstruction - DIEP flap and am really happy with the results. Its a big operation and Nick Collis was very thorough in his explanations and information prior to the surgery, and very attentive afterwards to ensure there were no problems. Even other doctors in the hospital were admiring his work saying he had a very special "skill set". I would thoroughly recommend his services.
Having implant removal under local aneasthetic in January. I have had implants for 11 yrs. I have no problems with them they are just too large!! Cannot wait to be natural. I was originally 34/36 a b.. have no idea what to expect afterwards, they will probably be very flat and saggy, just want them out. Updated on 14 Jan 2018: How awful do these look! I cannot wait to get them out. Hopefully will be quite straight forward. Updated on 19 Jan 2018: En route to Royal Victoria Newcastle. Appointment 12.30. Updated on 19 Jan 2018: My implants were removed under local anaesthetic and operation took around 30 mins. It did feel strange but not at all painful . I really never imagined that I could look this good at my age 55 and having those massive implants in for so long. It was so easy under local and I've had no recovery issues whatsoever. If you are thinking about havin this done just go for it Updated on 25 Jun 2018: 5 months update
Breadth Implants. I was rather apprehensive initially however Nick put me right at ease. Unfortunately my body rejected one of the implants however Nick re did it and now it's perfect. Very very natural. Nick puts patience before profit. I would recommend him to anyone for any cosmetic procedure! He also did my friends eyes and she looks 10 years younger.
Main reason I wanted to write this review was because so many other people's reviews have helped me and I even found my surgeon through this site, so thank you. Nearly 10 years ago When i was 18 I decided to get Breast Implants through the Hospital Group. I was very lucky and never experienced any problems and had no complications. About 2 years ago I had my first baby and really enjoyed breastfeeding, it was at this time I decided i no longer wanted implants and they didn't fit in with my life style any more. After being on this site I found Dr Nick Collis from Newcastle before deciding on this surgeon i had been to 3 others. All would only do it through general and charged double and most told me I would end up really regretting and looking deformed my decision was made and i was determined. After my initial consultation the date was book for approx a month later, i was able to be admitted at 12.30 which was brilliant as we lived over 2 1/2 hours from Newcastle. I was first in the line and was taken down at approx 2oclock all was over by 3 and I was back in my room. Now I have read many reviews about getting implants removed under local and most say it wasn't too painful, well unfortunately. Im not one of these people. I found it very very painful! I have given birth without pain relief and in comparison i would say this was a great deal worse. A few moaning points: • Surgeon seemed rushed but I suppose most surgeons do. • Theatre staff seemed alittle unorgainsed and no one seemed aware I was allergic to steri strips or they didn't seemed to know what to use instead if i was asleep would they of read my notes and seen this? • when I desperately needed more local anaesthetic because i was in so much pain none was available and there was a delay in getting anymore to me Some positive points • all the nurses and theatre staff were so friendly and couldn't of done more for me, one even held my hand throughout. So to sum up Nick collis offers something no other surgeon i could find does he doesn't rip you off and its quick and easy just very painful. Updated on 17 Apr 2017: Healing ok plasters came off a week after, scars look ok. I thought I could hear water in the breast pocket but after a week I can no longer hear this. Recovery very straight forward so far carried on with normal day to day activities. Im a stay at home mum so not returned to work but was able to care for my 2 years old straight away after. Updated on 17 Apr 2017: Im wearing a sports bra 24 hours a day on the surgeons request, and to be honest I find that more comfortable at the minute my breasts feel as if they need that support, but i went bra shopping and found this push up bra. Im actually pleased how they look here. Its hard adjusting back to before especially when you have had Implants for along time. But im still really pleased I did it and it's definitely been the right decision for me. Updated on 20 Apr 2017: Scars are healing really well, incredible how your body can do that. The bruises are from where the Local didn't take and thats where the most pain was felt other than being itchy at time, I have no problems so far (Touch wood) .
The initial consultation gave me absolute confidence I was being treated as an individual person and that Mr. Collis carefully, determined and understood exactly what concerned me, then assured me that my concerns would be taken care of. The surgery ( 2 weeks ago) went very well and even at this early stage the improvements I can see make me extremely happy. My surgery was at Newcastle Nuffield Hospital and the whole process was very well organised and stress free. The aftercare was great with everyone involved so caring and attentive to my welfare. The food was lovely and the hospital so clean and comfortable.
