DR. MICHAEL SOMENEK is AN ARTIST and a SCIENTIST
WORTH IT
My perspective before I chose Dr. Somenek is an extensive background academically and experientially in medicine and science. Starting at age 14 alongside school I worked in hospitals, labs(including NIH) and med schools. In undergrad and grad schools my curriculum was science-related.
Before I met Dr. Somenek I consulted 5 plastic surgeons in the DMV.
The consultations with the 5 surgeons I rejected were surprising. and in some cases appalling, experiences.
For example, one doctor had been sued--and convicted (anyone can get unfairly sued)--multiple times from the 90s on for botch jobs. Two had their receptionists raving about them but the women's faces looked horrible, asymmetrical, and visibly operated on. A couple of the doctors had never even heard of the procedures I'd researched and asked about. All of the 5 said the procedure I wanted would be "unsuccessful" on my face.
Then I talked to Dr. Somenek who inspired full confidence in me with his vast knowledge and experience. Unlike the 5 others Dr. Somenek was able to answer every single question of mine. He wasn't hard-sell. And it impressed and comforted me the great and organized care he and his staff provided me before, during, and after my procedure: the same procedure every one of the other surgeons said "wouldn't work" on me LOL.
Dr. Somenek is an artist and a scientist. Also he has a great sense of humor and as a bonus I like him very much as a person. On top of it he's a one-stop shop because while he treats the face his surgeon partner, Dr. Pittman, treats the body. I'll never need to go anywhere else nor will I. They are a godsend!
