Dr Diaz completed a breast lift 4 weeks ago ---- Thrilled with the results and the care I received. Dr Diaz is very detailed, explained the surgery, recovery process to ensure I was had all the information to make a decision. He was available to me 24/7 after surgery - with a direct line. The surgical staff, and office staff are extremely professional, knowledgeable and caring. I will be back for future tweaks.
He is number one in my book! It’s been quite a while since my breast reconstruction but I look great, and he did a wonderful job. Despite many setbacks and health issues, he really came through for me and the results are amazing and people constantly comment about it whenever I’m in any kind of doctors office or hospital. They can’t believe it’s actually reconstruction surgery and not just a breast lift. I am going back for my tummy tuck and revisions soon I can’t wait. He is definitely the best. His attention to detail and artistry cannot be compared. Thank you Dr. Diaz.
Dr. Diaz and his staff were amazing!! I had a tummy tuck and breast lift in May 2019 after losing 100 lbs after gastric bypass surgery and having loose skin remaining. Dr. Diaz has great bedside manner and he's a straight shooter who didn't try to upsell me on having more procedures than needed (ex: I brought up several procedures that I was interested in, but he helped me to decide which ones to prioritize and which would provide the results I washed in the safest way). He had an honest conversation with me about what results he expected and he exceeded his promises!! I loved all of his staff, from the receptionists to the nursing staff. Freddy and Ginna were both super friendly, funny, and responsive to all of my questions throughout the whole process. Tammy was always a bright shining face to greet us when we came in. Everyone puts us at ease during a stressful process, and the results are undeniably amazing! Thank you Dr. Diaz!
Dr. Diaz is, in one word...AMAZING!!!! He completed my surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago and I am nothing short of Happy. What impressed me most was his attentiveness to my needs and desires with my Breast Augmentation. I originally had Saline Breast Implants put in roughly 14 years ago in Alabama. One day, I just woke up, and one was deflated. I was freaked out! I immediately starting reviewing plastic surgeons in Melbourne and I felt (from the reviews and pictures of other surgeries Dr. Diaz had performed) comfortable that he was THE ONE! I called his office and although no one answered (it was outside of normal business hours) he leaves his personal cell phone number on the message to call him if an emergency. Well, hello, ONE boob...Emergency!!!! I called his cell phone and he answered almost immediately and we discussed my "deflated boob" and that although it was not an emergency at that very moment, I did need to come in and see him as soon as possible so he could assess my individual situation. I met with him 9am the very next morning! He took over an hour and a half with me just answering all my questions and concerns. We made up a game plan, together, of what was necessary, a replacement surgery. Since I had previously had Saline Implants, I was very adamant that I stick with Saline Implants again. We discussed the "potential risks" and I made the decision that the benefits outweighed them. He kept asking, "Annette, do you have any more questions?" This went on and on because...well...I did! And he didn't mind one bit! AMAZING!!! Bilateral Saline Breast Implant Replacement Surgery was scheduled before I left his office. Tammy Redfern at the reception area got me all set up with my kit for pre and post-op. I had prescriptions, vitamins, scar gel, and a list of other things that were recommended. She gave me a hug and welcomed me to the family. What a phenomenal feeling. Surgery Day: Dr. Diaz comes in and marks my breasts to prep for the operation, then I meet the anesthesiologist (Christopher Thessen) who was hilarious. He says.."ok, small stick" as he is about to stick this needle inside me arm..."LIES!!!" I say. "BIG STICK!!!" I yelled at him and we laughed! Surgery goes great, my husband takes me home. Follow-up...Freddy...Dr. Diaz's nurse. He was so fun and genuine. He would answer my questions and if he couldn't, he would get them from the Doc and call me back or come back in the room. Theresa would always have a room ready for me and she was so sweet and genuine. They were all such a wonderful team and I cannot recommend them enough to anyone who is considering cosmetic surgery. They are serious but fun. They care! They take their time! No question goes unanswered and no stone unturned. Please, if you need or just want cosmetic surgery, Dr. Diaz and his team are the ones to help! Thank you to the entire staff at Diaz Plastic Surgery and thank you Dr. Diaz! You are an amazing and gifted surgeon and I would trust you with any future surgeries. AMAZING!!!
Dr Diaz is impeccable. He is thoroughly a top notch plastic surgeon!! He and his staff are professional, kind and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. His work is exceptional. Brevard County is fortunate to have him.
I'm a 38 year old mother of three and was finally able to get my long awaited tummy tuck with Lipo this past Feb. by Dr. Michael Diaz. I wanted to wait a full 6 months before I wrote a review so I could possibly help others better understand why I chose Dr. Diaz instead of going to someone else. First off let me just say that I truly believe that my surgery and care the past 7 months have been nothing short of perfection! I initially had my first consult in Dec. of 2016 with Dr. Diaz and his nurse Freddy. I did have other consultations scheduled, but after meeting with these two gentleman I was so impressed and completely comfortable with them and the whole office that I knew this was where I wanted to be taken care of for my life changing surgery. The practice that Dr. Diaz runs is just amazing from the moment you walk into his beautiful white building to being greeted by his office staff (Coral) at the front desk who is also very sweet and always so caring when you go in or call on the phone that it really sets the stage for how things are going to be after your surgery. This was my first surgery ever so for me it was a really big deal and I was super nervous! Dr. Diaz and Freddy went over every detail with me and my husband during our consult and even gave us their phone numbers to call if we had any concerns or questions right before or after the surgery which helped me feel so much more comfortable and relaxed about it all. Right before my surgery we had some paperwork to read over just to make sure that I was preparing my body prior to the surgery as well as after. I also needed some pre-op bloodwork done just to make sure that I was ok to undergo anesthesia which was a piece of cake by the way. I also had some before photos taken during my pre-op visit which at this point was very exciting because the new me was only 10 days away! The day of my surgery I was so excited and nervous, but knew that I was in the best possible hands I could be in with Dr. Diaz and Freddy and I was so happy with my decision on choosing them. I can't remember the names of the other health care professionals in the back who inserted my IV or the name of the anesthesiologist, but they were truly incredible and made me feel so comfortable right before going in. The surgery for me felt like it was over as soon as I fell asleep which was crazy because I know it took a few hours at least. During the surgery Freddy called my husband to let him know how it was going and as soon as it was over Dr. Diaz let my husband know how the surgery went and how to best take care of me once I arrived home. I felt so loved and cared for when it was time to leave that I knew my recovery over the next 6 months was going to be great in their hands. Dr. Diaz even wheeled me out to our car and helped me inside just to make sure that I was ok before heading home. Once we arrived home and I was set up in my recliner Dr. Diaz had one of his nurses come to my house to go over all the care instructions with my husband and my mother-in-law which helped incredibly over the next 10 days. The next day after my surgery I had to go in for a bandage change and to get my drainage tubes examined which was not uncomfortable at all. Upon arriving we were told to park in the back of the building so I didn't have far to walk and also call so that they could help me inside which by the way Dr. Diaz came out himself to help me! :) I JUST LOVE HIM!! After that visit I continued with weekly visits until my tubes could be removed then it was every 2 weeks I believe to check on the healing progress and swelling. I really loved the ace bandage wrap with foam inserts that they provided so much and it helped tremendously with the swelling and made me feel so comfortable that I personally didn't want anything else until I healed more. I did however purchase a compression garment about 6 weeks post op and was able to wear that during the day and used the ace wrap with foam padding for night time while I slept. They definitely made sure that I was never in any pain at all during my recovery and was always a phone call away with any concerns I had no matter what time it was. For the first 10 days it was extremely important to hunch over so I didn't tear or cause damage to anything on the inside while I was healing. I personally wasn't able to get out of my recliner and be comfortable in bed until about 10 wks post op. At 8 wks post op I had my after photos taken and was able to start getting more active with getting out of the house and exercising. At this point of my recovery I felt great, looked great and couldn't wait to heal. I'm now currently just under 8 months post op and I have to say that I've really enjoyed my recovery process and my results are by far the BEST I could ever have hoped for! I really hope my review is helpful to others with deciding on whether or not to go through with a procedure, but most importantly choosing the right doctor to make you love looking in the mirror again and Dr. Diaz in my opinion is the *KING* of making that happen! God Bless!
I cannot express enough appreciation and gratitude towards each and everyone that is involved in this practice. Every time I have an go in I am treated so special- from the front desk to the office managers. Last July after many consultations Dr. Diaz and I sat down and came up with a mutual agreement, I knew that day he would be my surgeon. His approach is professional and thorough. He has an excellent bedside manner and after care. Dr. Diaz and Freddy kept a close eye on me and my progress, from beginning to end. Thank you again the results are exactly what I wanted! Also a special thank you to Dr. Archer who gave me the option to resurface my complexion with extraordinary results. I highly recommend her to anybody! Her patient Cordinator Amy is such an asset they definitely complement each other. Amy will make sure you are comfy and an extra special patient. She's definitely one of a kind! I have been a client within this practice for at least 10 years. Natalie and Amy are true pros at their jobs and they do not hesitate to meet all of your complex needs, listen to their suggestions! This practice is excellent and deserves a 10 star rating that I highly recommend. Sincerely, A.S.
Dr. Diaz and his staff are wonderful, very caring and professional! Dr. Diaz is an expert in breast implant revision; he very honestly explained all aspects in detail and answered all my questions and concerns. I had some difficulties after surgery and Dr. Diaz was always available, he actually answered his cell phone! He saw me in his office on a Saturday evening to evaluate my/his concerns. Dr. Diaz decided the best course of action was immediate surgery; he pulled his surgical team together to perform surgery the next morning—Sunday. Dr. Diaz, Freddy, Stacy, and Sarah not only came in on a Sunday, but went the extra mile to assure all went well during surgery. I’m very thankful Dr. Diaz has a state-of-the-art surgical suite at his facility and I didn’t have to go to the hospital for the procedure. I always feel very comfortable and in capable hands when seeing Freddy Velasquez, Dr. Diaz’s RN, he’s certainly in sync with the doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Diaz and his staff.
I am currently recovering from my breast reconstruction surgery. I had a double mastectomy 5 years ago.I had a very suspicious area on both breasts w MRI was ruled precancerous. I am BRCA2+ and elected for a prophylactic double mastectomy w expanders placed. 2 sets of expanders later I had my implants! Updated on 14 Dec 2016: My 6 day post op check up answered my question about fullness- it's a volume issue with my breasts I need more volume apparently. I'm wanting to do the new Mentor 1200-1400 cc silicone gels but they're not out yet. I'm not going back to saline- I love the natural feeling of these gels. I'm starting to round out a little. It's very early and I'm hoping I round out more I think I will. My weight loss goals and a leaner body will be in line with smaller breasts I just don't want any sag. Dr Diaz is absolutely the best ! I'm going to keep working with him on it - and eventually get a tummy tuck. He is a true artist. Updated on 16 Dec 2016: Starting to change and round out but not in a way I'm very happy with. My breasts look very droopy. Not full on top at all. I'm not happy at this point and I've realized I'm going to have to have a revision. Seriously considering all options. I've been extensively researching and even with the issues I had previously at time of surgery I was not having any. This result is not at all what it should be - not happy. Updated on 5 Jan 2017: My implants are settling in and I am much happier! My healing is going very well which is the main thing and the scars look awesome! Rounding out nicely. I'm working hard on my weight loss and fitness. I feel this size may be perfect. I will wait a year or at least to get to my goal weight before deciding on a revision. Implants are so soft and natural! Feels like natural breasts. I'm going for my 4 week post op tomorrow. Now to schedule nipple tattoos! Patience is really key in this entire process!! Updated on 14 Mar 2017: I'm now at the healed stage and the implants have actually rounded out. I'm using temporary nipple tattoos. The scars are starting to heal. My final 6 weeks consultation showed the volume is just not enough. I'm going to do the implant exchange when the 1200s come available hopefully in the next 6 months. There's not enough volume for my chest cavity. I'm very impressed with my doctor, and highly recommend him. I'm also concerned about my sides of my breasts as there's extra skin that needs to be removed or reosculptured. I'm hoping this happens in the final surgery. I'm in the weight loss process also- down 17 pounds! Have 83 to go! This will also affect the final outcome.
Dr. Diaz and his staff are everything you could want! I had a breast lift in March 2016, and I am so happy with the results. I will definitely be back to Dr. Diaz for any enhancements! The entire office is fantastic! It's rare that every single staff member is a bright spot! Toni will expertly guide you though the consultation process and help you get things started. Dr. Diaz and his amazing RN Assistant Freddy will be right there before, during, and after your surgery. They are very good at what they do, and they really care about your health and well-being. All throughout the process, Larissa handled the office/administrative side with a friendly, professional manner. I am so happy that I found Dr. Diaz! I highly recommend Diaz Plastic Surgery!! My husband was so impressed with his knowledge and expertise. From our first consultation, we knew that I was in very capable and caring hands!
There are a variety of ways to close a tummy tuck incision. This varies form surgeon to surgeon. I usually close my tummy tuck incisions with absorbable sutures that do not need to be removed. Talk to your surgeon about how /she plans to close your incsion. Let them know that you have an allergy to staples.
It is unlikely to pull breasts downward from a traditional tummy tuck. Most of the pull from a tummy tuck is on the lower half of the abdomen, well away form the lower border of the breast. Talk to your plastic surgeon about how much skin elevation from the abdomen whe/she plans to perform.
Generally speaking, recovering form a breast lift is easier than other cosmetic procedures. There is little discomfort that is often controllable with tylenol. You may or may not have drains; I usually do not use them for a lift. I allow my patients to shower a day or two after the proceudre. I ask them to take it easy for a few days, then back to regular activity. I limit the use of the gym and exercise for about a month, but I alter that depending on how things are healing. Most patients return to work after 4-5 days.
All surgical procedures have some risks. Combining two surgical procedures such as a breast lift and a tummy tuck can increase risks associated with bleeding, infection, anesthetic risks, and deep venous thrombosis, among other things. Having said that, a breast lift and tummy tuck combination is a very common procedure. I recomend that you discuss the options and increased risks with your surgeon. Be specific. Ask the surgeon how many combination cases he/she performs. How long will the procedure take? What have been the outcomes? What additional steps if any do they take to help guard against these increased risks? Good luck.
If you feel that your reconstructed breasts have too much projection, then moderate or moderate+ implants may be an appropriate choice. These implants can give you a more fill above the nipple line while providing a less projection. The two implant manufucters label their implant styles differently so make sure you talk to your surgeon about which exact implant and style he/she is planning to use.
