I Cannot Say Enough Positive Things About my Patient Experience with Dr. Richardson

I cannot say enough positive things about my patient experience with Dr. Richardson. If you are hesitating about getting a forehead reduction with Dr. Richardson, do not hesitate. Do it! Best decision I have ever made and I honestly wish I had gone through with this surgery sooner.

I have had a high hairline and massive forehead for my entire life and have been interested in getting a forehead reduction for years. After plenty of research, I came across Dr. Richardson and quickly realized he is an absolute expert in forehead reduction surgery. My surgery, immediate post-operative period and recovery went seamlessly. When travelling to Frisco for the surgery, I had a few hiccups with my travel airline and Dr. Richardson's staff were so helpful and accommodating towards me. The nursing staff were so kind and the administrative staff were SO responsive (I would get e-mail replies within minutes of any questions I had and they replied to every single call I made to them throughout my travels). Even the anaesthetist was so relaxed and friendly. Dr. Richardson was so kind and informative during our consult and I was so happy with the new hairline he drew out for me prior to my surgery. The hairline was drawn in such a natural/realistic way; there were no harsh lines and it suited my face well. As someone who has never had surgery, I was nervous about anaesthesia, but soon found out that this surgery is not done under general anaesthesia and does not require intubation. This procedure is done under IV sedation, which I was so pleased to find out about. I felt almost no pain post-operatively and never used a single pain pill that was given to me as part of the routine post-op prescriptions (I did not even have to use Tylenol!). When my bandage/headwrap was removed the day after urgery, I was BEYOND happy with the result. I believe we were able to bring my hairline down by 3.5cm. I have been so self-conscious about my forehead most of my life and was over the moon to see how different/amazing everything looked after such a short surgery (only about 2.5hrs). My face looks so much more balanced and my side profile looks amazing. I went from having a huge forehead to a small/cute and natural forehead that is more fitting to my face. As someone who works in healthcare, I can say that Dr. Richardson's stitches looked almost machine-made; he is absolutely meticulous in his suturing. God bless his hands. My scar is basically invisible, flat and entirely hidden within my hairline. I can barely spot it myself when looking for it in the mirror. I attended an event only 3 weeks after my surgery and not a single soul could spot my incision line. I spent a week in town after my surgery and absolutely loved my stay there. I was so nervous that I wouldn't be able to get out and about, but was so wrong about this. Two days after my surgery, I was out exploring the town and driving around. I had virtually no bruising and swelling and looked completely normal while travel around town confidently. Added bonus, my forehead is so much smoother since the surgery and my subtle forehead wrinkles are gone (I'm saving my Botox money!). At 3.5 months out, the numb area at the top of my scalp has regained about 40% sensation and is steadily improving. My only regret throughout this whole process has been that I wish I had done this sooner. If I could give Dr. Richardon and his staff a biggg fat hug, I would.
