I had never done anything like this before and was very nervous about the prospect of going to Mexico (non-Spanish speaker here), the surgery, the results, recovery, etc. Nicolas was amazing. He gave me the names and telephone number of some past patients who had the same procedure as I was considering (full facelift, upper eyelid, fat transfer to nasolabial folds, mechanical peel). The women I spoke with were happy to chat and very forthcoming, singing the praises of Dr. Yanez's work. That was very reassuring. My decision had been made! My husband and I flew into San Diego and Nicolas picked us up at the airport and dropped us at our hotel. He was very attentive and supportive, answering all our questions and addressing our concerns. Everything went smoothly, the staff is wonderful. Nicolas checked in with us daily as I convalesced for a week and then drove us back to the airport. I am a month out now and am so pleased with the results! My level of self-confidence is through the roof. I had been self-conscious about my saggy neck and jaw line for years. As others have said, my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Dr. Yanez's work is amazing. Cannot recommend enough.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Yañez for the past 18 years and have nothing but good things to say about his work! I’ve referred friends and family members to Dr. Yañez with nothing but positive outcome’s. Very professional, attentive, caring and most importantly he is the real deal, completely safe and knowledgeable with years of experience! You get what you pay for, you do not have to worry. Dr. Yañez is licensed to practice in Mexico ???? as a cosmetic surgeon and that is very important!
Dr. Yañez is an amazing Doctor. All his staff is amazing. I first had contact with Nicolas the patient care coordinator and he explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. I met with Dr. Yañez after, and I felt very comfortable and had a good feeling with him. Surgery day came and I had a wonderful experience with all the hospital staff. Now I am 4 weeks post op and I love the results. I still message the Doctor, the patient care coordinator or the nurse that works with the Dr and they always answer my questions and concerns promptly. I can't wait to schedule my 2nd surgery of the mommy makeover!!! Totally worth it.
I'm back!!!. Yes, I have had so many surgeries already it feels serial to me. But, I was so happy with my body after so many years of insecurities. I felt on top of the world until I got pregnant. My body has not been able to recover the way I want it to. 9 months ago I went to Mexico got Lipo on my Flank, lower back, Ab's and had a breast lift. I thought that would be enough for me. Unfortunately I have some fibrosis on my AB's and I also look uneven. Since I didn't do lipo on my upper back or arms. I also noticed that my stomach is not flat. I work out a lot and from what I can tell it's not really fat. When I wake up, my stomach is pretty flat. I feel like I'm just bloated. After reading up, I believe I have muscle separation. From what I understand or understood. your AB's act as a corset for all your internal organs. After you have a baby, you AB muscles separates and it can no longer suck everything in. Lipo didn't help me because I didn't really have a lot of fat. Which is why having Lipo this last time gave me Fibrosis. You can get Fibrosis when you have Lipo and it's too close to the skin. In order to fix my AB's and also get rid of the fibrosis on my lower AB's is to get a tummy tuck. I can hit two stones with one surgery. After this I really hope I never step in another surgery room ever again. Time to hunt for a New Plastic Surgeon. Updated on 23 Dec 2021: I selected a doctor in Mexico . The cost was $7,300 for tummy tuck and lipo on arms and upper back. Date is set for January 14. I was able to secure a recovery house were I will have a nurse 24/7. They will help me to bathroom, walk, shower, head me. 3 meals is also included. $50 a day the place is called https://www.erikasrecovery.com/ My doctor is Martin Yanez. Baja, Mexico. I found him here on real self. I liked the reviews but I wish there was more recent reviews. Im not serious but at the same time I am. This is much bigger surgery then I have ever had. My recovery will be longer. Not being able to stand straight for a month sounds so long. Updated on 15 Jan 2022: My surgery went well ! I arrive at 7am. I was picked up and taken straight to hospital. I had blood work and cardiology test. By Noon I was taken to the prep room . Everyone was so friendly mix joking around that I totally forgot I was getting major surgery. It was the first Time I met the doctor. He was super sweet. Much older then this real self photo lol but to me that is a good thing . This was the first time that was under general anesthesia. I was didn’t feel pain at all but I was awake. But oddly I was also sleep. I could hear the doctor and nurse talking. I panicked at first . I was so sleepy it felt like a dream. I could just hear them say try to relax . Calm down. Just breath. When I was full awake when they strolled me out of the operating room. They said my surgery went perfectly. The took me to the room. It was so weird. I felt no pain at all. I was relaxed. I watched Tv and feel just fell asleep while watching Tv. The nurses woke me up to clean my drain and also to give me water. They woke me up a second time to give me my antibiotics and pain medicine. Before breakfast they took my vitals. They served me scrambled eggs with ham and oatmeal with Oj. Perfect! But didn’t eat anything. I Just wanted to sleep. It’s 11am so far the hospital staff was so kind. Mr. Marrones Yaner nurse was super sweet. He helped me under dress, take shower, dry myself, changed my bandages and also dressed me now I’m just waiting to for my driver to take me to my recovery home. Pain as of now is 2-3 out for 10. 10 being the worst pain. But I am walking like an old lady. Which is very good sign. If I can keep NOT feeling pain. Updated on 16 Jan 2022: Today has felt the worst. My arms feel so a stiff it’s hard to move them. My tummy isn’t has bad. My back hurts from Having to bend over. Today I was able to take my bandages and got a message to help push the fluid out of my body. It’s also suppose to help with the swelling. It didn’t hurt . It actually did feel good. Here is the information Freon The recovery house. https://www.erikasrecovery.com/ They have been so good so far. They changed my bandages, washed my clothes, helped me get out of my clothes to shower me, helped me out back my cloths on and my faja. They have cooked and cleaned after me . Even reminded me to take my medicine. They even picked up my medicine for me and have gone to the store to get chocolate for me . The house is clean. The view is nice. My bed is very small like a twin bed and I have a roommate but it’s okay. I don’t mind. It’s nice to have someone to talk to. Someone to share. They offer free wifi and Netflix. If I want to be alone I usually walk in the living room no one ever uses it. The message therapist comes to the house so that’s great too. Highly recommend this place. Updated on 25 Jan 2022: Im pretty pleased with my results so far. I did a tummy tuck and lipo on my upper arms. So far my incision seems very thin. I had 2 rounds of lipo through within the last 12 years so my skin had a lot of scarring. I many doctors told me my skin wouldn’t stretch enough to be able to do a tummy tuck. Some doctors even turned me away saying I didn’t have enough loose skin to be able to go a tummy tuck at all. The doctors himself told me he wasn’t sure. It said he would do his best and he did. He made it work. He was able to stretch my skin enough. Im looking forward to seeing my results. Updated on 29 Jan 2022: Today is two weeks and 1 day. I woke up actually walking straight up. For some reason the most I walked the more hunched I got. I guess I got tired? I was so excited too. But even a few hours of walking up straight gave me a lot of hope. I knew the walking hunched would be the hardest part but you always think it won’t be as bad for you especially if your healthy and athletic but here I am just like every one else having major back pain. It’s also so embarrassing for people to see you walking like that . I’ve been resting. I wear my garment during the day but at night I take it off. My doctor said that’s ok to do. I took the bandages off.my incision looks thin but it’s dark I’m hoping that’s just the scab and will fall off. My arms are looking super good !! And so is ma upper back lipo. Updated on 2 Feb 2022: My doctor specifically told me not to out anything scaring scream or gels or anything until after 3 weeks. I did not listen. I put neosproin scar cream and scaring tape. I woke up the next day with a rash. Im totally breaking out. My swelling was finally going away and now this !! Im not sure what I am doing to do. I took my faja off because I think that was making it worse. Please ladies listen to your doctors if they say not to do something don’t do it ! Updated on 4 Feb 2022: I’m at 3 weeks. Two days ago started walking straight but I feel by the end of the day I’m slights more bent over. I feel like my healing was delayed because of my allergic reaction. My skin is still irritated. My doctor said I had an allergic reaction to Neosporin. Ugh . Im Benadryl and putting Cortizon cream. I see some improvements but still not clear. See photo. My swelling as gone down a lot ! But I am still very swollen. I can feel how bloated and hard my belly feels. The lipo on my arms are looking great !!! The so feel super sore when I left my arms over my head. Also I’m have not been wearing compression Thai while week . Swelling is still going down. I’m not sure if the garment would make the process fast or not. Regardless I can’t wear it because my skin is still irritated and I need to let it breath Updated on 12 Feb 2022: My rash is almost gone. I ended up using 100% aloe Vera. My swelling has come down a lot but I’m still swollen. My stomach doesn’t look flat yet. But it’s looking better .my arms are still stiff. It still hurts when I rub my arms. It just feel sore. My tummy still feels numb. I have not gone to the gym yet. I still feel too numb. Every time I eat or drink I feel like I’m going to explode. Sneezing and coughing is still painful. Updated on 19 Feb 2022: I’m feeling so much better but I still have some swelling in the center of my stomach. It’s like I’m bloated . But even though I feel bloated my belly popping out like it did pre surgery. I started to get more motion. I went out and was able to do some body rolls. Yay !! I don’t look like a robot dancing. I still haven’t worked out . I think I’ll wait until I’m 6 weeks. That’s the date my doctors said i would be 100 clear. My arms are still sore and some swelling. I’m surprised it’s been harder healing. I’m just happy I can sneezing and cough without feeling like I’m good explode. I had to take out the belly button stitches. I was suppose to come out on its own by week 4 but it never did. So much for dissolvable stitches lol. Can’t wait to see more progress. Updated on 25 Feb 2022: I feel so great! I started working out. I’m still swollen. But my stomach is getting so flat! Unfortunately I feel like the rest of my body does not match. Which is why I’m working out. But it’s only been 3 days since so started. I feel great. I’m able to run, stretch and lift weights. fYi I only worse my faja for o my 2 weeks. So I don’t think you need it . Updated on 25 Mar 2022: Things have been going great. It’s been 10 weeks. Scar is hearing nicely. I’m still numb and I still have swelling especially by the end of the day. I’m working out , stretching and running. I’m sleeping comfortably on my stomach. I went in vacation wore a bunch bikini n you could not see scar. The only thing that sticks out is my old belly bottom. I had a belly button piercing so you can see the two incisions. My back n arm lipo are doing great.
Overall really positive —I would say if you’re looking for no-frills, get er done kinda service this is a good fit. I liked the doctor and his assistant very much. I would encourage you to be prepared to communicate and be persistent until you get your answers and have questions.I did not find it to be an overly guided experience (and I can imagine some people would enjoy more information and context for something of this magnitude). But when I asked, I received answers, if I didn’t ask, I didn’t receive more information. The pricing is phenomenal. I paid $5k for my new nose and chin implant and my nasal labial folds to have fat from my leg inserted (smile lines).I watched a girls review on YouTube and that encouraged me I contacted her directly to ensure she was a real person. I set my appointment by paying a small deposit ($300) and I think I was scheduled for 1 week later (sooooo fast) I nervously booked a hotel in San Diego and asked to be picked up the morning of. I had never crossed the border before. The assistants son picked me up. Super nice kid. Paid $50 or $150 round trip something like that. Totally worth it. Got there, filled out paperwork, paid, took a heart check, got changed into a hospital gown then sat around for awhile. I barely know what I signed I think it was mostly in Spanish. I got a handwritten receipt for my purchase.Put IV in, I took some pictures, went upstairs to the surgery room. Looked very sterile and good. Met the doctor literally 5 min before I went under. He confirmed what I wanted. I had received a rendering prior to then of what it would look like. I DIDNT ask for a chin mock-up beforehand. Hindsight being 20-20 I probably should have. I ended up really liking it but it was lucky. There is still a scar that I don’t think is going to go away under my chin that wasn’t really disclosed to me that that could occur. Can’t see it straight on but would’ve been cool to know.I woke up and looked like a Mexican taco truck had run me over lol. I was freezing cold and don’t speak Spanish most of the hospital crew spoke Spanish and not English or very little but gesturing worked fine. I was SOOOOOOO dehydrated. Mimed for food and drink and got it. Actually, it took awhile for someone to realize I was awake. I didn’t know there was a call button on the bed (cause no one told me :). It’s those little things that I think you get what you pay for perhaps but who knows I’ve never chopped off a body part before...Now, I came alone and don’t speak Spanish and I managed well but I’ll admit I was a little scared and totally unsure of what I looked like afterwards. As in, I had no clue if I was botched or not. Had a lot of bleeding. No real pain other that my throat from being dehydrated and full of dried blood from where I’m assuming a tube had been (no one warned me about this online or in person). But it was done and at that point, all I could do was wait.A few hours later doc and assistant (Nichols) came to check up on me. Very nice asked if I had questions. I think at this time they scared me a lol cause they weren’t like oh it’s beautiful went super smooth they were like went ok, you have a hard nose to break lol uhhhh so I was like am I deformed (in my head) they sent me a picture later of what I looked like lying there on the table after surgery. I look dead but also it looked kinda upturned to me so I wasn’t sure if I was gonna have a pig nose BUT a pig nose still would’ve been better than what I had so that calmed me downI was told I could leave the next morning/afternoon Doctor came, next day said I should stay until 6-7 no real explaining so again I was a little freaked out but I rolled with it. Son picked me up, crossed the border no problem, seemed like they’re used to that kinda thing.Got back to my hotel. Drank a ton of pineapple juice and aloe drink cause that’s what Youtubers said to do.Very stuffy. Had trouble sleepingI recommend melatonin if you’re considering this.Got up the next day, felt good enough to drive, and riiiiigh as I was ready to leave I had massive diarrhea from pineapple juice and aloe. Sooooo I don’t recommend the aloe if you’re considering traveling the next day lolStill alone, I had tons of time to ponder if I made a huge mistake or not In the end, I did not. I would fully do it again. The first week was mentally exhausting. I’ve never been so vain in all my life (I’m 39) wondering about how I looked DAILY, hourly. Still kinda am and it’s three months later. I can’t pass a mirror without looking or stop taking selfie’s but before I hated my selfies. Now I love them all.
First I meet With his coordinator and I like the fast response for them and suggestions, I meet Dr Yáñez until the surgery day and was the day when I added the little extras and I explained what I wanted to be fixed. I read a couple comments about good and bad ratings of several doctors. And I found just one comment about DR Yáñez and it was only about Someone saying that developed a fluid inside the abdomen, but investigating more about tummy tucks most of the dr explained that is common and easy to get rid of it. With Drs in USA or Tijuana. Risk are in USA or tijuana at any circumstances. But I like the way Dr yanez and his staff where super friendly Dr is super friendly he provide me with his personal phone to text or question any concerns or doubts after my surgery. At the first week I got scared about the way my body turned out with a lot of bruises and bad shape but for explained me that it was because of the swollen and the use of post surgery garment will reduce and shaped. And also I developed that fluid inside After removed the drains, and also a little hematoma, and guess what he fixed no need to be panic, with a needle by the Side of the sutures no pain aT all he removed the fluid for maybe 2 weeks and that was all. And he was right it take times to see results. My surgery was on August this year and I noticed the result that I wanted by now. Almost 2 -3 months later. I love the results I love the shape, I love my body again I feel confident to use bikini and I just love the way that he suture and the effort that he put in the shape of my belly. I saw a couple others doctors results even here in USA and they don’t detailed as dr yanez. I just did full back and flanks and waist and little inner tights liposuction and Full tummy tuck. No liposuction in abdomen. Also some people said oh my dr. Didn’t went deep on liposuction, Dr Yanez did he when deep on lipo in my back not on my legs but keep in mind that if you are anemic they can’t go deep for safety, also Dr is keeping track of you blood during and after your surgery, and after surgery a week or later they offer the massages to reduce swollen, I highly recommend Dr Yanez
Dr. Yanez is a very talented surgeon. I have been so pleased with my results. My results are very natural, I just look and feel years younger. His staff was amazing, kind and caring. They took great care of me. I would recommend Dr. Yanez for cosmetic surgery.
I had been searching for a plastic surgeon in Tijuana for quite some time now. I looked through so many pictures and checked out there credentials. I was going to book with a Dr. but then I came across Dr. Yañez page. I was so impressed with his work. I haven’t seen anyone with work as amazing as his. I contacted them and they came back with a reasonable quote. I was ready to move forward but at the same time was really nervous. Nervous about the surgery, nervous about traveling to TJ and nervous if I would really be happy with my results. My experience with them was nothing short of AMAZING! His assistant Nico guided me throughout the whole process and made me feel so comfortable. The Dr. even called me and we spoke more about the details. The day of the surgery Nico met me as soon as I crossed the border so I could follow him to the hospital in my car. That was such a big help for me because I was scared of getting lost out there. He helped us out so much that day that things just ran so smoothly. It was time for the operation. I met Dr. Yañez and I felt so comfortable. I woke up from surgery with no pain. I couldn’t believe it! I stayed the night in the hospital and the staff took such great care of me. I’m so happy I decided to go with him. My only regret is not doing it sooner. I can’t wait to recommend him to everyone who might be looking for a plastic surgeon
I owe it to this talented Surgeon, Dr Martin Yanez, and to all of you who’s comment and experience has helped me, so this is the least I can do, by sharing my own experience. After 4 children, that I raised on my own, with all stress and full time work, love and tears...I was ready to do this one thing for myself. A month ago I had surgery in Baja, Mexico. I had a full face lift, with some fat-grafting and minor liposuction. Also Dermabrasion around the lip and chin area. As all of us I made lots of research. 1 First Certification, fundamental. 2 Then photos, they need to be honest, clear and many of them, as well as reflects positively the specific procedure you want to have done, and this surgeons specific abilities in this area. 3 reviews, starting with the lowest, everything has to be read, others people experience are important. 4 Years of experience, and additional credentials as reconstructive Surgery etc, adds depths and experience to a Surgeons abilities, and also shows his extended interest and love for his profession. Those are the basic, and needless to say Dr Yanez fulfilled all of them, with over 30 years of experience. But know comes an even more important factor, technique is good and fundamental, but not enough. As an artist myself I know that beauty starts in your mind, before it goes to your hands. A surgeon has to have an Artistic eye, an inbuilt sense of beauty. And that to was fulfilled. I could tell my the pictures, and Mr Yanez is an Artist as well. Now travelled no aboard is scary, I’m from Europe, but did not look forward to travel in top of having surgery. The prize for me was an important factor, you will easily pay a third of what you would pay here, but even if that wasn’t an issue, I would still have chosen this Surgeon, because off all the factors I mentioned. I also have a firm believe in the Latin, South American sense of Esthetics, which is almost integrated with the culture. There are good Surgeons everywhere in the World, but this is just me. So know to the actual experience. So I got the ticket, flew to Sao Diego. Nicolas, Dr Yanez assistant picked me up from the Airport. I immediately liked and trusted him. He is a Frenchman, and very professional, caring and intelligent. He would answer all my questions promptly during the whole process. While recovering he would bring me eyes, and check on me constantly. Dr Yanez medical assistants speaks English. You will be brought to a private hospital, where Dr Yanez operates. The rooms are clean, simple white and cozy. The health precaution are meticulous, my Blood pressure was a little bit high, so Dr Yanez would not operate before it has lowered. His medical assistant will make a throughly checkup before surgery. I was completely taken care of. There is no neglect here. The staff is warm and friendly. Also you want to remember to that others yourself, as you want to be treated, so you show kindness you will get it back. So having said that, I will conclude with the most important factor. You want to have a Surgeon that is a person of integrity. Dr Yanez is a good man, that loves what he does, he is fast and assertive but meticulous when it comes to health and safety. And all his staff, reflects the same kind of friendly and genuine vibe. Specially Nicolas. So my ladies companions in our quest for beauty, this is my experience. Something actually turn right in my life! I wish you all to have the very best as well, because you deserve it. I posted pictures. I’m 62 by the way. Updated on 26 Nov 2020: Here is an update. I do recommend Dr Martin Yanez and cannot do it enough. It is important to be realistic, a Surgeon can not change something completely at times but work with what you already have, and embellish it. You will see results, not miracles. But the best results depends a lot on the Surgeon, and your own healing process. Dr Yanez will do the best with what you have, and he will do it safely, professionally and use his own unique “talent”. All women deserve to feel the best we can, we give so much and this is something we have earned. Updated on 26 Nov 2020: I can not recomend dr Yanez enough. Surgery will use what you already have and embellish it, not completely change it at times. Result will depend on the Surgeon but also on your bodies healing process. It is important to choose wisely. Dr Yanez will do the best with what you have, and he will do it “safely” and he will add his. “Unique” talent to his technique. The main raison why I choose him. You to deserve the best.
I am very pleased with the work done by Dr Yanez. I had a facelift, with my main concern being that I wanted my jawline back again. Dr Yanez recommended that I have my eyes done as well, and I am very grateful for that,I I was so busy obsessing about my jawline that I hadn't noticed how tired and baggy my eyes had become. My frends are already asking for information about where I had it done. I have a brunch this Sunday with three friends who want to see how it's settling in, four months later. The general consensus seems to be that I look about forty. I am 58, so I'm pretty pleased! The Dr Yanez's office and the hospital where the procedure is done is just over the border in Tijuana, and Nicolas, the wonderful patient liaison will pick you up and drop you off in San Diego, or at the border if you park at the lot on the us side and walk over. I drove my car in, it's a bit confusing because there are many roundabouts, but since it's only about half a mile from the border it's no big deal. There was no pain, at all, and I was out and about in public ten days later. The only thing that wasn't great was trying to communicate with the hospital staff. Most don't speak English, and though they all have translation apps on their phones, it's hard to be understood when mumbling beneath bandages. I would highly recommend taking a friend with you to be there for the eight or so hours directly after the surgery, to help the staff understand what you might want or need. Other than that, I'd highly recommend Dr Yanez, and especially Nicolas, who is kind and supportive and fluent in English, French and Spanish. I also liked that the procedure took place in a hospital, with an overnight stay, unlike a lot of surgeons in Los Angeles. Oh, and be sure to ask Nicolas about some of the wonderful restaurants in Tijuana, there are many fine.dining places there!
You would look okay. But after muscle repair, it may be best to do a fleur de lis. It all depends on the amount of excess skin.Scars are barely visible after 1 year.
Apparently you don't have much fat.If you work out you will have less. The amount of fat transfered will depend on the fat removed with the lipo. You will need liposculture of the back and lipo of the abdomen to gather enough fat.
Yes you are an ideal candidate for a facelift with blepharoplasty.Plasma peel would also be recommended
You need a full facelift (neck and jawls) and lower blepharoplasty. Add mechanical peeling which would greatly reduce the fine wrinkles around your mouth. Check before and after pictures.
It should not be a problem . Not all, but many patients satisfied with their surgery will talk about their experience and final results. It is up to them. Giving just two references should not be an issue.
