Since 3rd grade I’ve been in a bra! By 5th grade a C cup and then DD’s until my second child and went up to DDD possibly even larger. Honestly I quit buying bigger bras I just hated how top heavy I was. Over the past few years I noticed my posture was getting worse and my neck, back was hurting more and more…then With covid and being behind a desk longer I started having daily headaches. The chiro explained the weight from my chest was pulling on my neck muscles that attach to the base of my skull which were constantly inflamed. So I decided it was time for a change. I had a referral from a colleague to see Dr. Crawford, and he has been awesome! Very easy to talk to, he assessed the shape of my chest and explained the procedure and based on my body shape/chest cavity he explained what I should expect as far as results.Everything was so easy and not fuss which I appreciated. He was the expert and I trusted him. After the surgery the pain was manageable; The next day I developed an allergic reaction to the pain meds and antibiotics so after a Benadryl from day 2 onward I was only on Advil and I wasn’t in unbearable pain. So far I’m 3 weeks out and healing nicely. I have a small infection under my breast that I’m treating so hopefully it will go away soon.
I am currently 11 days post-op! My surgery went great! Dr.Crawford is hands down the BEST! My results look amazing! He is very down to earth and cares about his patients. This man knows what he’s doing!!! I can’t forget to thank Cassie!!! She answered ALL my emails QUICK! I’m sure I got on her nerves with ALL my 100 questions!!! Updated on 14 Nov 2021: 5 weeks post-op appointment!!!! I go back again I’m December! More updates on the way. Will include how much fat he put in. I forgot to ask. He looked at my stomach and said it needs more compression. My garment is way too loose and he is going to put me in another next month. I still can’t wear a faja because he does not want me to put pressure on my sides and butt right now.
Been wanting to do this for years but thought it would be best to wait until after kids. Now that I'm done having kids it's finally time. I stared with a 36A/B (small B,full A). Just had my surgery recently and so far I'm pleased with the results. I know it will be a good while till I "drop and fluff" but I think I chose the right size. I got 425cc Mentor smooth, mod plus profile on both sides. My doc was awesome and patient, really made me comfortable with the whole procedure. I am still less than a week post-op but here are my before pics.Updated on 9 Apr 2020: Love my results so far. Still have a while to go but so far everything is healing well. I only needed pain meds the afternoon of the surgery and the morning after. They are still a bit swollen and high (of course that is to be expected) Looking forward to the rest of this journey...Updated on 14 Apr 2020: I felt better much sooner than I thought I would. Right now there is still some burning and shooting pains but I am told it’s normal. Aside from “morning boob” the soreness is mostly gone. My doc advised me to massage about 8x a day and that seems to be helping with my healing. They are still high and firm to the touch so I am anxiously awaiting the drop and fluff. Bruising is mostly gone. In another week I will remove the tape and see my incisions here are some pics of my progress...Updated on 21 Apr 2020: Things are progressing well I think. Starting to finally see the swelling decrease and they are starting to drop. The tape finally came off in the shower today so I was relieved to see what my incision is looking like. Ladies, it has been a rollercoaster of emotions! I loved them, then didn’t and now I do again. They change so much from day 1 but it’s hard to tell when you are massaging every day and looking for differences. Yesterday I noticed they softened up quite a bit and that was a welcome change. Only advice I have so far is stay the course! Very happy so far and I know there is still a long way to go. So here are some pics of my progress...
I got boobs when I was 12 and ever since they have been big. I have suffered for many years of back and neck pain, headaches and so much more. It wasn’t until this year that I decided I wanted to do something about it. From one child my breast’s weren’t bad, but the drooping still caused them to pull on my shoulders. I also, since I can remember, have always had a chubby belly. When I was 12, 21, 27 and now. Even when I was 20 pounds lighter then I am now, it was chubby. So I thought to myself if I am going under I am getting that done as well. I know mostly what to expect with the surgery but not so much how to prepare, so I thought I would get on here Ans ask for any advice. Questions you asked your doctor. Did you bring a before and after pic? Advice on what supplies I need to get, things I need to have at home, stuff I need to tell my caregiver Etc. I’m so nervous but very excited. I love my doctor and I think he is going to do a great job. I am hoping to go down to a big C, small D. I currently lost 40 lbs but would like to lose 5 more. I know for my TT it is all about sculpting for me and to have a flat flat FLAT stomach.Updated on 10 Oct 2018: So I have been scrolling his site for days to make sure I ask my doctor all the questions I can before surgery. Any questions you may have asked before would be great to hear. I alway research the heck out of anything I do, and I see all these amazing TT by other doctors. I hope that my results are as amazing as theirs. I red a lot of people say they had blood work first, so that’s my #1?. I want to make sure I am clear if needed. Although I got blood work often since I’m diabetic. I have started to get my supplies I will need for recovery. So far I have: Wipes Arnica pills/gel Lips board Lips foam Vitamins Will ask doctor about garments he recommends. He will provide me the one I go home with. Updated on 4 Dec 2018: Tomorrow is the day! I’m so excited but nervous. I am praying the surgeon has steady hands and gives me superb results. I’m having a breast reduction/lift, a tummy tuck, Lipo of flanks bra rolls and stomach and Lipo of the inner thigh. Wow that seems like a lot now that I write it. I’ll post pics when I can. Updated on 7 Dec 2018: I had my TT, BR and lipo done yesterday. So far I'm feeling way better then expected. I'm able to get up and walk around on my own which is great. I'm praying that my tolerance for the pain remains as good as it has. I expect tomorrow to be more sore then I have been. I know the doctor did a lot of lipo on my flanks and abdomen. Here's a pic but it's not very good. I am able to sit up pretty good but keep myself hunched over as I know it's best for the first week. I also taking my meds on the dot every 4 to 4-1/2 hurs. All the research I did on this and everyone said don't miss you meds. I drained a lot the day of surgery from the lipo but not much from.my breast. My breast actually have been giving me very little pain. Updated on 9 Dec 2018: It's day three and I got to finally shower and see my new body. I am beyond excited by what I see so far. My breasts are going to be the perfect size....and perky! I really still have had no pain in my breast. I just had a reduction and lift done, no implants. I removed all my dressing from my belly and it looks so good. It's already so flat even with the swelling. I am not sure if my doctor is just that good or my pain tolerance is that high, but I will say this is not as bad as I imagined. I do have pain in my incision area but more sore. When I had my csection, it was so much worse. I'm able to get up and down on my own and finally had a bowel. That did make me feel less bloated. I am hoping and praying I continue to be able to deal with my recovery as like I have been.Updated on 13 Dec 2018: On day five I got my drains out for my breath which was nice but honestly my breast have been the easiest of this entire process. Starting day five I will say things did get a little bit harder. I feel it because, like most tummy tuck patience, I also included some Liposuction with my procedure. So starting on day five I started to get some bruising where the liposuction was done and currently I am pretty bruised on my back area, my flanks, my midsection my and inner/outer thighs. This is making it painful when doing a lot of stuff and so far the worst of this this entire process. Sitting down, getting in and out of the car and I get sore and tired faster now then I did the previous days. I am using arnica gel to Help with the bruising, hopefully by the weekend they go away. All in all I am not complaining because the pain is tolerable and really more uncomfortable if anything. I still have my belly drains in and they are open so I have to put pads on them to catch everything. Kinda yucky but but surgeon said this was the best drains for all the fluid they put in me during the procedure. Also, I loved my surgeon. Dr. Marcus Crawford in Acworth, GA. He is very involved in all aspects of his practice which made me know he cared. I’ll write a full review on him later.
Always wanted to have a more balanced figure. Right after my 37th birthday I decided it was time and the money was right. At a point in my life where I was doing this for me and no one else. I wanted to look more proportionate in my clothing and feel more womanly all around. So far I am so glad I decided to do this. Updated on 4 Jul 2018: These were taken the day of surgery. Updated on 4 Jul 2018: Updated on 4 Jul 2018: Updated on 4 Jul 2018: I am thrilled with them already. I still have some dropping to do of course but so far they look great to me! I am very happy with the size choice and everyone says they fit my frame well. I am able to hide them in Tee shirts if I need to or I can wear a tighter shirt to show them off. I am like everyone else sometimes though, I go back and fourth about the size but then I just look at my before photos and realize what a difference! I am also happy with the moderate profile. Such a natural look in my opinion. I will update soon when they make more progress. Updated on 11 Aug 2018: These photos are 8 weeks post-op. I couldn’t be happier with my results. I just had my post-op visit with the surgeon a few days ago and he was really happy to see that I had feet cleavage even without a bra. I am so happy I went with the moderate profile. The swelling is totally gone and he said they are pretty much finished with dropping, maybe just a little more fullness will happen at the lower pole within the next month or so. I still sleep with a light sports bra at night. I feel a little tightness in the left breast in the mornings if I don’t. They feel like they are a part of me now. I wold say that started happening at about week 7. I no longer feel like they are “prosthetic”. And they are really soft. I liken it to a young woman’s breast, firm but squishy. Loving the way I fill out my clothes too!! I was measured at VS at a 32 D at 8 weeks PO. and Adore Me bras fit great at a 32 D as well. Updated on 11 Aug 2018: Not sure why the app is cutting off a portion of the photos.
Dr Crawford is very professional. I am glad with my result. He gave me what i ask for. The process was quick, healing good with no complications. I went from a K cup maybe dd or ddd still im only 6 weeks post app. He answered all questions.
Dr Crawford did a great job, I'm very satisfied with my results. He was very informative pre op and even drew me pictures, he is a little on the conservative side and I believe he takes into account what you want and what the end results will truely be and is honest and upfront about it so you know what to expect and you will truely get your desired results. He has a very pleasant and caring bedside manner. I didn't have any issues with infection, but I also believe prevention falls on my responsibility as well especially in this day and age. Having my procedure at the outpatient center was my first prevention as only healthy people are able to have surgery in an outpatient center, hibiclens showed prior to surgery, bactroban to my nose prior to surgery (MRSA lives in the nares, and bactroban kills it as a nurse I could easily be a carrier) chlorehexidine mouth wash prior to surgery and used an incentive spirometer 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after to prevent any post op pneumonia. I also only used antibacterial soap on my incisional areas after surgery till healed and always a clean washcloth and towel. The pain was definitely more than a csections, it wouldn't have been if it weren't for the liposuction, that was definitely the most painful. I still have some numbness 4 weeks out but this was to be expected in the area of liposuction and tummy tuck. I read some reviews that his office staff was difficult to get a hold of after surgery, I did not find this to be true. I called them with questions after a few times and always got a response. My only suggestion would be that I would have liked to have had a staff member from the office call to check on how I was doing the day after or at least 2 days after since my surgery was done outpatient. I know their office is busy but this is definitely an area that could increase customer service and add that caring touch.
Realself has helped me out tremendously so I decided to write my review in hopes it could help others. My BA was today. I was super nervous. Every since I was 15 I've wanted breast. I have always been a 34A cup. Even having children my breast would get a little bigger while pregnant and then go back flat afterwards. I was extremely nervous last night and couldn't sleep. I was just so worried I wasn't gonna wake back up after anesthesia. When I woke up though for some reason I just felt really calm. I had to be there at 7:45. The actual surgery was at 8:30. They took in the room, gave me my IV,and asked me what type of music I listen to to help me relax even more. By the way I thought that was awesome! Then the anesthesiologist came and did his thing and I was out in seconds. Soon as I woke I said,"They are not big. Are you sure its the right size? Lol!" They were perfect though. Right now its 8pm and I haven't had any pain all day. I'll give an update later cause I'm sure by tonight it will be different. Pics coming soon!! Updated on 30 Sep 2016: I'm having absolutely no pain what so ever. I'm quite shocked by this actually. I did suffer nausea the day of surgery, but I think it was from the Lortab. They gave me 10s and I can't take thm without feeling woozy so I stopped. I can't take my bra off until tomorrow. Mind you I have not fully seen them yet outside of the bra. I can't wait cause they look so good in the surgical bra they gave me. Question. I'm trying to upload my before and after pics and I can't seem to get it. Can anyone help me out? Also I bn feeling so good I thought I would go out with my husband for breakfast this morning. Huge mistake! I felt disoriented getting in the car and like I was having motion sickness or something. Needless to say I hurried back home. I think it's because I have bn in bed and haven't really been mobile. I'm going to try to walk around a lot more today. Updated on 1 Oct 2016: Today I'm feeling kinda tired. I feel like I'm in jail cause I haven't left the house and I'm not in pain but I can't lift my arms without thinking I'm gone mess my breast up. I took a shower and got to see them finally. They look good, but I think I have a ways too go before they look the way they should. Updated on 2 Oct 2016: Woke up feeling very stiff and tight through my whole body. The bra that they gave me to wear is irritating me so bad!! My back hurts so much and it's hard to sleep at night. I started feeling water bubbles or something in them. Updated on 6 Oct 2016: I went to my one week check up today and it went great. I'm starting to feel my nerves kick back in my breast. I'm been feeling a little uncomfortable at night. Not any pain just my breast seem to swell or something. The only way I can describe it is it feel like whn u have breast milk coming in after a baby. The doctor to me I can now sleep on my side and I don't have to wear the surgical bra anymore. But I need to keep a bra on tht has no underwire for the next 3 months. My beast look they have dropped some. I love them, although I wish I would have gone a little bigger though.
I had surgery with Dr Crawford on March 2nd 2016 after breast reduction with another surgeon in 2011 I was left with alot of breast tissue but flat no volume, As of now I had 325cc left breast 300cc right breast which my implant shift on left side I do think the implant Size should have been Larger than what Dr Crawford Chose given the amount of breast tissue i already Had as he chose the size and i also believe i shouldve had High profile as projection and fullness was my PRIMARY concern, However I will be having a revision done in 4 months surgical wise he is a great Dr very caring Funny down to Earth and even called to check on me after surgery several times emailing back and forth made me comfortable with him caring for my health as a surgeon At the time of my implants i Also had a Tummy Tuck,Now With the tummy tuck im pleased to a certain point with the over all outcome as he also did muscle repair, but I wouldve gotten better results had he combined Lipo to the hip areas and sides when I go back for revision in 4 months I will request Lipo to all areas that was not addressed and a Gluteal fat transfer for a brazilian butt lift,All in all i really like Dr Crawford as my surgeon he knows the outcome Im looking for and he is very understanding to each indiviual patient cosmetically Id Refer him to whoever wants plastic surgeru work done But you need to be Very clear with him As the patient to what you want your outcome to be as he is no psychic, IM looking forward to seeing him in 4 months to get things addressed and get my perfect body which is 75% there and a couple more nips & sucks it will be 100% I love dr Crawford
I researched breast reduction on the internet to the fullest. I only went to see Doctor Crawford. I didnt get a second opinion. Now that could be good or bad...However I liked him from the start. He is friendly, knowledgable and extremely handome...lol...that was a plus. Within a month I had surgery....we really didnt discuss cup size...I was a 38J. He said he would adjust according to my frame size and he did a wonderful job. Now I am recovering...only 2 weeks out. To me this surgery is major...you should atleast take 2-3 weeks off from work. You will go through things you never thought possible when it comes to your breast. Make sure you move around and yet get plenty of rest.... I had some leakage after the drains were removed...I called him and I was in office in the next hour....two days later still leaking...I called him and he got right on the phone and explained everything to me...I AM FINE.....Its all apart of the healing. I will post pics in 30 days after my next visit with him. I like this guy!!! I think you will too!!!
Often times symmastia is a result of overly aggressive pocket creation during breast augmentation and/or placement of implants that are too large for someone's chest width. It is a difficult problem to fix, but often involves removal of the current implants, modification of the breast pocket, and decreasing the size of the implants. If it has been an appropriate amount of time since your initial surgery, you could consider revision surgery for this result.
If you are deciding between a breast lift and having breast augmentation with implants, the main factor to consider is breast volume. It may sound simple, but there is no way to add implants to your breasts without making them bigger. Therefore, if you are happy with your current volume, but are unhappy with the appearance of your breasts out of clothing, then you will likely achieve your goals with a breast lift alone.
Lucy, With the current position of your nipples, breast implants alone would serve you very well. Raising your nipple more surgically would place it in an unnatural position. For someone who is trying to achieve a natural look, I would definitely not plan on moving the nipple to an unnatural position. Good luck.
Hi Neighbor!! I'm not in Alabama, but Atlanta is just a short drive away and it would give us the opportunity to discuss your concerns in detail. The changes you are reporting are very common after childbirth. Not only do you lose the firm, perky breasts you had before childbirth, the extra skin makes them droop and hang in a position that is often displeasing to many women. As you have mentioned, this is often corrected with a breast lift and implants. There are several types of breast lifts that can be done, but the specific type of lift will depend on your current appearance. Since there is a lot of variability in the type of surgery, the cost range is very wide for this type of surgery. The best way for me to give you specific details would be for you to come by for a consultation so we can discuss your specific case in great detail. I hope this helps and I hope to talk with you soon.
Due to the effects of gravity and aging, there is no way to maintain perky breasts forever. Changes in your body shape (weight gain, pregnancy, breast feeding, and weight loss) will also affect the elasticity of your skin as well as your breast appearance. There is no current technology to eliminate the effects of gravity or aging completely, but some women are more prone to changes in their breasts than others, which is why women have many differences in the appearance of their breasts as they age. If you have been fortunate to have perky breasts thus far, enjoy it and know that you are the envy of many women around the world. But enjoy it while it lasts because someday, unfortunately, things will change.
