Couple weeks ago I had face lift with Doctor Manuel Gutierrez . I absolutely happy with my result and it getting better and better every day. I stayed in the hospital for 9 days . Post surgery care was excellent . I had zero problems. Thank you Doctor Manuel and amazing team. I happy I did right choice .
I had done months of research and had many consultations before, and time and time again, Dr. Manuel Gutierrez came on top. He is board certified (you can verify searching for board certified surgeons in Mexico) and has many, many years of experience! I had corresponded via email with his staff and they answered all of my questions quickly, always letting me know I could ask more! The night before my surgery I started getting anxious and second guessing my decision. However, rather then cancel at the last minute, I opted to show up to the facility and make my decision there. Wow, am I glad I did! I was very impressed with the Blue Tower as well as how professional everyone was. I will walk you through my day and hopefully you will see that this was an amazing experience! I drove there with my husband and 2 cousins. I live about 2 hours from the border and once we crossed into Tijuana, it was only bout a 3-4 minute drive to the Blue Tower. They have their own parking facility and the entrance is coned off. We thought it meant it was closed. However when we called to ask about parking, they told us to pull up to the cones and the security guard would meet us. Sure enough, that’s exactly what happened. We were able to leave my car in a safe and guarded parking space. Inside was absolutely stunning! The theme is aquatic and the walls and decor are beautiful. There is a cafe and a pharmacy inside as well. The staff at the front desk were fully bilingual. I speak Spanish and English but my husband only speaks English so they courteously explained everything in English for him. Excellent English at that. They called me in to do lab work and then I was able to join my family again. A few minutes later we were called to the second floor and all of us were able to go up. I was told my husband (or any one person of my choice) would be able to go up with me to my assigned recovery room but there was a lounge on the second floor for my cousins to wait in. While I was busy doing my EKG test (for those of us over 40) my family went outside to have some burritos (outdoor vendor) and to pick up some snacks at the gas station (across our building, imagine a local AM/PM type gas station with small store). My husband and I got to meet Dr. Manuel Gutierrez for a consultation prior to the surgery to ensure that I would be getting what I wanted. He measured me and discussed the process, again, all in English so that my husband could understand. He was very thorough and detailed without being rushed. Eventually I was taken to what would be my recovery room. My husband and I were able to hang out there until I was taken in for surgery. There was a private bathroom and shower, and a couch and tv. Every single nurse who interacted with us was so professional, bilingual, and friendly! I was surrounded by strangers and yet I felt so safe and cared for. It was an unbelievable experience. They are amazing!!! Prior to going up to surgery there was some difficulty with the veins in my arms. This happens very often in my life! But the nurses were so gentle and so caring. Not once did I note even a hint of impatience with me. Then I was taken up for surgery. My husband and cousins went out for lunch at a nearby restaurant (you can pay with cash or card) while I was in surgery. Surgery went well and I was given some jello, crackers, and juice when I came out. They also provided us with medication, discharge papers, and a sports bra. They also gave us a medical pass so that we could cross the border through a faster line than everyone else. I will come back for a follow up appointment in one week. This experience was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor or medical team. They know how to treat their patients and the entire time, you will feel safe and cared for! The US has great doctors too but you have to pay an arm, a leg, and your soul for it! Believe me, I had multiple consultations prior. Here in Tijuana with Dr. Manuel Gutierrez you have excellent services for a fraction of the cost! If you’re uncertain about going for it, here is my motivation: do it!! You will not be disappointed! And bring any doubting friends or family with you… after they step inside the Blue Tower and meet the team, they will be signing themselves up, too! Updated on 6 Oct 2023: This is how my recovery is going! They look great! Please also look at my comment below for ccs info translated into bra sizes for me! So far, a little sore around nipple area. But that’s all. Please note, due to the fact that I initially had enough fat tissue on my breasts, we opted to go with “over the muscle” which is why I believe my recovery has been much better than expected. I stopped pain meds on day 3 and only took them as needed, when they felt “tight or itchy around the nipple area.” Very minimal discomfort. Updated on 23 Oct 2023: Week 4: everything is healing well. I had my most recent follow up appointment and staples were removed. Everything is going well! I couldn’t be happier! Please see my pics below as I show you the different type bras. Updated on 19 Nov 2024: It’s been about a year and I’m still incredibly happy with my boobs! They have settled nicely and feel soft and supple. If anyone has any questions, please let me know. This has been an anmazing experience and I’m really happy with my results! Updated on 20 Nov 2024: It’s been about a year and I’m still incredibly happy with my boobs! This is an amazing doctor. The second I walked into the room he made me feel seen/heard. I decided on a D-cup. Once looking at my breast he told me that I just need to lift my “large” side and place an implant on the smaller side. After deciding this was the plan, he gave me realistic expectations(which I already knew my breast are never going to be symmetrical), and he even stated that in the many years of being in cosmetic surgery, he has never done just a lift one side/implant on the other. Pre-op was super easy, most of the staff spoke english. I was whisked away to surgery once I was cleared and had no complications. I was brought back to the hospital room and stayed the rest of the day there. I decided at night I wanted to go back to my hotel, so the staff discharged me with no issues. The next morning the office texted me to ask if I could come in for a follow up! The doctor was so happy with his work, he held my hand and asked how I felt. Of course I was happy, it’s exactly what I wanted! He even asked for his phone to take pictures! He wished me luck on my ride home and told me to update them with pictures every month! I definitely recommend Dr. Gutierrez Romero, please go in with realistic expectations and he will definitely try to get you to your wanted image!
First let me just say the thing I love most about going through dr. Gutierrez Is how accommodating he and his staff are. I contacted several doctors and it was a hassle and wait times…. I called dr. Gutierrez and Sara had me in for a consult the next day, surgery two days after that. The room they gave me was absolutely amazing. Better than most hotel rooms.. I mean it was huge and 2 of the four walls were floor to ceiling windows with city views. Clean, state of the art facility. Very nice and attentive staff. It’s too soon after surgery to post pics but everything looks good and I’ll update with before and afters He performed a breast lift with implants, I got 700cc on my 5 foot frame and it doesn’t appear to be too big at all. Liposuction almost everywhere.. upper arms, thighs, waist, back. And fat transfer to parts of my booty which is naturally huge but this was to round it out a bit on the sides. He also revised the scar that I screwed up last time by not giving myself proper time for recovery and broke the post op instructions not to drive. This time I’m. Ring a good girl and staying in Tijuana till my recovery is complete. Updated on 15 Apr 2023: It’s been just over a week and everything looks great. He did an amazing job. Here’s my before and afters, mind you it’s been 8 days so bruising is at its worst in these pics. And swelling obviously. Updated on 17 Apr 2023: Today I will get out my stitches and start lymphatic massages. Here is a pic I just took I’m very happy. He did a great job. I have been afraid to look at my backside until the swelling goes down, because I don’t want it to fool me into thinking my skin will turn out smoother than it actually will . It was horrible before.
Hi guys, I am going in for a facelift on March 9. This will be my second one. The whole staff was phenomenal really. The facility was nice, and they were so freaking accommodating. Believe me, I was scared of the idea of going to Mexico for plastic surgery, especially something as seriously invasive as the posterior thigh lift I had done. I originally went to a local doctor for a consultation that went really really well and I was ready to shell out the 17k it was going to cost me right there on the spot, but, his first available appointment wasn’t for 5 months from now. And I wanted the procedure done right now, so I decided to send out feelers to some doctors in Tijuana. This doctor had an availability less than a week from when I sent them pictures and received an immediate response with price quotes and recommendations. Everything was falling into place and i was very excited going into the initial consultation, which was the day of my surgery. From there, I won’t lie.. my confidence diminished and I briefly considered backing out. It’s a lot different than an American doctor in that there were several other patients waiting to see him that morning which was unsettling but ultimately fine. The consultation didn’t go as well as I’d expected as his optimism about the results and the recovery were not very high, but he took his time explaining things to me and I didn’t feel rushed. He was very kind compassionate and comforting. And, after I paid I right before I was going into surgery I asked if they could throw some of the fat they removed into my nasolabial folds, and they did, and it looks great. Didn’t even charge me extra. I saw him three days after the procedure and he was attentive And thorough looking over the outcomes and giving me info I’d need for having the sutures removed since I was leaving town before they could. They sent me the medications I needed to my hotel and everything was taken care of for me as much as possible. So far things look good, I won’t know until the swelling subsided and I’ve been breaking some rules so I expect it will be swollen longer than it would be otherwise… but I’m satisfied with the decision and it literally saved me about 10 grand, so…. I have enough left over to go back and get like an entire facelift or boob job or something. Updated on 6 Jun 2022: So, I’m considering getting a revision even though my results are really good, they would have been better if I had been able to follow the instructions for the post surgical recovery. I now completely understand why one of the doctors was frustrated with me about how flippant my attitude had been about the recovery. First off, the incision location makes driving a big no no for the first week. I drove 600 miles within the first four days. Then had some unexpected emergencies prevent me from being able to allow myself the time to heal and I practically never wore my compression garment at all. All of these things had consequences that were my fault entirely. So I am considering going back to have it done again but this time I will stay the full two weeks to ensure my incisions do not become deheased (separated at the opening) like they did this time, Which again, was 100 percent my own damn fault. I also wound up with a seroma on my abdomen from not wearing my garment. All in all I truly received great treatment then messed it up on my own but am still thrilled with the results. Updated on 27 Jun 2022: I decided not to redo the thigh lift because the results are good even though I messed up the healing. However we skipped lipo on the thighs because he said we could fine tune that part after. I’m fairly impressed with how good a job he did with the abdominal liposuction. It’s very flat and smooth even though it was a revision of a badly done lipo I got in the US. However I don’t know if I can go to the same doctor for my thigh lipo because he explicitly stated his no-no areas, and both of those areas are what I want (banana roll and ankles). And I know it’s going to be hard to find a doctor who is willing to do the front of the thighs but that’s what I need most so I will have to inquire about whether that’s possible. It’s weird how wildly different perspectives doctors have about doing lipo. Dr. Gutierrez stated he would never do lipo below the knee because it goes against his medical training to treat that area and risks are too high. Yet he did an amazing job on my stomach. Conversely, the life-changing ankle lipo I got previously was by a doctor who refused to do my abdomen because he felt it wasn’t worth the risk of more bumps and unevenness. But the real kicker is that my very fist lipo doctor, who expressed no concerns about any area and got paid to treat them all at once…. I should never have let touch me as he messed up basically everywhere he treated. Badly. So…. I guess that’s why we have review sites. anyway dr. Gutierrez is the guy to go to for abs/flanks for sure. Gotten compliments on my torso almost every time I’ve gone out since the procedure.
I love my results! I'm currently almost 2 months post op and did it right before the holiday season for down time. This was my first surgery ever in my life. I emailed Dr. Gutierrez's office for a virtual consultation and they got back to me rapidly. They are amazing at communication and that's one of the many reasons why I chose this location. I sent them photos and they sent me a quote for a breast augmentation with an areola lift & back lipo. Once I had a date confirmed I had to send a $1,000 deposit cashiers check to their P.O. Box in San Ysidro to secure the surgery date & time. (You send them a pic of the envelope to let them know you are mailing it & they email you confirming they received the payment). Day of Surgery: **Everyone I met was bilingual and they approach you in Spanish. If you need them to talk in English to clarify things they will or will get someone who can translate. Also, everyone is very friendly which made me more at ease** My surgery was at 8:30am in Tijuana, so I left my house in San Diego around 7:50am and was early! When you cross the border, it takes like 4 mins to get there. I was greeted by one of the medical assistants and they took me to get my lab work done and to take photos. I met with Dr. Gutierrez and Dr. Diego and they showed me different images of breast sizes that would accommodate my body frame. Afterwards, I went to a patient room where medical staff asked me my medical history and inserted IV's and pre-op medication. It was 11am by the time I was wheeled into the operating waiting room. There were 2 other women in the beds besides me waiting as well. The Anesthesiologist came up to me to introduce himself, walked me through the procedure and made me comfortable. At 12pm I was rolled into the operating room and they injected me with anesthesia (I think it was regional/local anesthesia since I wasn't fully asleep, but I was in & out of sleep and numb). I didn't see Dr. Guiterrez or Dr. Diego, so I'm not sure which one did my procedure. It was 2pm when I was rolled out of the operating room. I couldn't feel my legs at first, so they made sure to monitor me until I got sensation back and gave me snacks. I didn't leave the facility until 6:30 pm. They give you a medical pass for your driver to cross the border so you can avoid all that traffic back. I went back two times for my post op appointment (2 weeks after & 1 month after where they took out my stitches) and they also give you medical passes to cross the border back. Below was the cost of my procedure. People lack this context when reviewing and I think it's very helpful, so I'm sharing! Cost of my Procedure: breast argumentation with areola lift: $4,900 Back Lipo in 3 areas: $3,000 Extras payments: - Lab-work $80 - Take home prescription/medications $75 I did not purchase: - Compression Bra $60, Girdle $160, Arms girdle $100 (I bought these on amazon before my surgery) - Preoperative Internist evaluation and EKG $100 PATIENTS OVER 40 YEARS (I'm 29 so didn't need this) - Hospital night $220 (I live in SD and went back home) I hope this review helps for anyone who's looking to get work done at this facility!
God bless this man. He truly is the kindest, most warm-hearted surgeon I've ever met. And believe me, I've had a LOT of surgeries with a lot of different surgeons. None are as personable, kind, and interesting to talk to like Dr. Gutierrez. We spoke of my Mongolian heritage and he blew me away with all the facts he knows about my culture. He also encouraged me to never stop going after my dreams. What a treasure of a human being. My dreams of having an aesthetically attractive vulva has finally come true thanks to Dr. Gutierrez! I am kicking myself for not getting this surgery with him YEARS ago. But I choose to look forward. Im so grateful for him. My vulva looks so beautiful and neat and I no longer have to "adjust" myself all the time. Finally, I can have sex with the lights on without feeling mortified. Finally I can feel comfortable without extra skin poking out. I feel so much better. The recovery is a little tough but not nearly as bad as I imagined. I took my meds as prescribed. One of my stitches near my opening burst open and was really red and sore for a few days, but I took care of it with Neosporin, rest, keeping it clean, etc. It's now healing and much better. I don't think it's Dr's fault at all - maybe I moved too much. And regardless, I'm THRILLED with my results and thought I'd make a review. I'm also thankful to the lady on Facebook who recommended Dr. Gutierrez. My results are just amazing.
I started researching surgeons back in June, 2021 and came across a few women who really liked Dr. Gutierrez in Tijuana. After spending some time learning about the procedure and seeing many testimonials, not just on the doctors web page but also youtubers.I decided to book my appt. I corresponded via email (at least 30 emails, I had lots of questions) and received responses promptly with every email. They were fantastic! On the day of my surgery Oct 25th, when I met with Dr. Gutierrez I felt like I was meeting a celebrity! LOL. We discussed what I had in mind for results and the doctor helped me decide on what I truly wanted (I can be very indecisive). This was the first time ever having any kind of cosmetic surgery, and all I can say is, everything went really smooth, I woke up with new boobs, they look FANTASTIC! After my 3rd day of recovery I had a follow up visit and because of my own poor planning about six hours before I could check in to my airbnb. The doctor let me sit in there waiting room until I could check in, and they even had their driver take me there! 10/10 would book again! Thank You Dr. Gutierrez
When, searching for a surgeon I look for the communication part. Let me tell you Dr. GUITEREZ has an amazing team, not only that I admire Dr.Guiterez he makes you feel at ease and comfortable. The Hospital its so beautiful safe and clean. Carmen the anathysologist made me feel so comfortable. I rather stay at the hospital, than at a recovery house. I will return back for my next procedure. I had a great safe experience with this journey. Thank you so much Dr. GUITEREZ.
Hello Thank you for your photos, you are a good candidate for a tummy tuck. If you select a experience board certified plastic surgeon you can expect to have a good result of your scars. Evaluating the doctors photos and talking with testimonial patients will give you peace of mine. Good look Sincerely Dr. Manuel Gutierrez
Hello Thank you for your photo, the most important thing is to have a patient in ideal health conditions. Your board certified plastic surgeon will evaluate how many procedures can be done at one time. With out having more information of your case, it may be advice to do only 2 procedures at the time, this will help you also to get motivated and loose weight. The average cost for a extended tummy of flour de lis is $6,500 to $7,500 and breast lift from $4,500 to $5,500 You can also get a great benefit from loosing weigh before your procedures, the result will be better and reduces the complications! Sincerely Dr. Manuel Gutierrez Romero
Hello Tank you for your information. In order to make an evaluation photos en physical examination is mandatory. I can tell you that there are 3 main factors that contribut to not have a flat abdomen. 1.- Fat deposit on the abdominal wall Liposuction will take care of it! 2.- after pregnant there is a separation of the abdominal muscles and loose skin that creat a prominent abdomen Tummy tuck will take care of it! 3.- Intra abdominal fat, this is more a genetical problem . This patient have to lose weigh and burn the intra abdominal fat, if not the will still have a prominent abdomen Tummy tuck is a safe procedures in the hands of a experience board certified plastic surgeon. Good look Sincerely Dr. Manuel Gutierrez Romero
Thank you for your photos. In the personal consultation I ask my patient what has been an ideal weight in the past? And how realistic is for you to reach that weight? In the side photo you have intra abdominal fat, this makes the abdomen more prominent, no tummy tuck or lipo can eliminate this fat, so if your primary objective is to have flat abdomen try to loose weight to a point where your abdomen is not as prominent. If you are comfortable with your weight, I will suggest: tummy tuck , liposuction upper, lower back and waist line, posible BBL if you want. If you are not confortable with your weight, you can try to loose weight before. Sincerely, Dr. Manuel Gutierrez Romero
Hello, Thank you for your questions. It is very difficult to give you specific answer with out looking at your photos, height and weight. Did you have significant weight lost? The consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon will give you a more clear idea in your particular case. The basic difference is: if you take off your close and sit down in a chair you will find a natural fold on the side, in patients who need an extended tummy tuck the incision will finish 4 to 5 inch from the hip bone. If you have lost significant amount of weight and have loose skin not only in the abdomen but all around, stretch marks on the upper butt and you can grab loose skin around the butt, you will need a circular tummy tuck or lower body lift. You have to remember every operation will target and correct specific areas of you body. Good luck. Sincerely Dr. Manuel Gutierrez Romero
