Decided to go back to Mexico for more

I decided not to redo the thigh lift because the results are good even though I messed up the healing. However we skipped lipo on the thighs because he said we could fine tune that part after. I’m fairly impressed with how good a job he did with the abdominal liposuction. It’s very flat and smooth even though it was a revision of a badly done lipo I got in the US. However I don’t know if I can go to the same doctor for my thigh lipo because he explicitly stated his no-no areas, and both of those areas are what I want (banana roll and ankles). And I know it’s going to be hard to find a doctor who is willing to do the front of the thighs but that’s what I need most so I will have to inquire about whether that’s possible.
It’s weird how wildly different perspectives doctors have about doing lipo. Dr. Gutierrez stated he would never do lipo below the knee because it goes against his medical training to treat that area and risks are too high. Yet he did an amazing job on my stomach.
Conversely, the life-changing ankle lipo I got previously was by a doctor who refused to do my abdomen because he felt it wasn’t worth the risk of more bumps and unevenness.
But the real kicker is that my very fist lipo doctor, who expressed no concerns about any area and got paid to treat them all at once…. I should never have let touch me as he messed up basically everywhere he treated. Badly.

So…. I guess that’s why we have review sites.
anyway dr. Gutierrez is the guy to go to for abs/flanks for sure. Gotten compliments on my torso almost every time I’ve gone out since the procedure.

Following the recovery plan

So, I’m considering getting a revision even though my results are really good, they would have been better if I had been able to follow the instructions for the post surgical recovery. I now completely understand why one of the doctors was frustrated with me about how flippant my attitude had been about the recovery.
First off, the incision location makes driving a big no no for the first week. I drove 600 miles within the first four days. Then had some unexpected emergencies prevent me from being able to allow myself the time to heal and I practically never wore my compression garment at all.
All of these things had consequences that were my fault entirely. So I am considering going back to have it done again but this time I will stay the full two weeks to ensure my incisions do not become deheased (separated at the opening) like they did this time, Which again, was 100 percent my own damn fault.
I also wound up with a seroma on my abdomen from not wearing my garment. All in all I truly received great treatment then messed it up on my own but am still thrilled with the results.

Very Glad I Decided to Go to Mexico for my Procedure.

The whole staff was phenomenal really. The facility was nice, and they were so freaking accommodating. Believe me, I was scared of the idea of going to Mexico for plastic surgery, especially something as seriously invasive as the posterior thigh lift I had done. I originally went to a local doctor for a consultation that went really really well and I was ready to shell out the 17k it was going to cost me right there on the spot, but, his first available appointment wasn’t for 5 months from now. And I wanted the procedure done right now, so I decided to send out feelers to some doctors in Tijuana.

This doctor had an availability less than a week from when I sent them pictures and received an immediate response with price quotes and recommendations. Everything was falling into place and i was very excited going into the initial consultation, which was the day of my surgery.

From there, I won’t lie.. my confidence diminished and I briefly considered backing out. It’s a lot different than an American doctor in that there were several other patients waiting to see him that morning which was unsettling but ultimately fine. The consultation didn’t go as well as I’d expected as his optimism about the results and the recovery were not very high, but he took his time explaining things to me and I didn’t feel rushed. He was very kind compassionate and comforting.
And, after I paid I right before I was going into surgery I asked if they could throw some of the fat they removed into my nasolabial folds, and they did, and it looks great. Didn’t even charge me extra.
I saw him three days after the procedure and he was attentive And thorough looking over the outcomes and giving me info I’d need for having the sutures removed since I was leaving town before they could. They sent me the medications I needed to my hotel and everything was taken care of for me as much as possible.

So far things look good, I won’t know until the swelling subsided and I’ve been breaking some rules so I expect it will be swollen longer than it would be otherwise… but I’m satisfied with the decision and it literally saved me about 10 grand, so…. I have enough left over to go back and get like an entire facelift or boob job or something.
