5'2 & 62 but feel 32! Tummy Tuck, AMR, lipo & 36lb weight loss

I am currently 3 months post op from my Tummy Tuck, AMR and lipo. I can’t even find enough superlatives to describe how I feel about my post op results. Super awesome fantastic happy relieved energetic…that about wraps it up. I am 62 year old mom of 3 grown children, all born a year apart. My body never recovered from Baby 1 or 2 when I had 3. So I for sure lay all the blame on them for wha...

It was worth every ache, pain, penny, and sleepless night

After 2 years of research, I finally felt I found the doctor I could trust to do this major surgery after so many years of struggling with repeated significant weight gain and loss. I am truly blown away with my results even though I am still swollen. (I can not wait to see my full results) It was worth every ache, pain, penny, and sleepless night. I’ve lost over 100 pounds with a s...

Something that used to cause me so much anxiety and stress, no longer does

I was clueless when it came to skincare routines and products. Jacque was very knowledgeable and patient answering all of my questions, no matter how small or silly. Not only was I using incorrect products but in the wrong increments which had caused years of damage. She made me feel very comfortable and together we made a plan to improve my skin. Quickly it started improving and I finally...

Dr. Lu was great before and after surgery

I had a great experience and I am so happy with how my breast reduction turned out. I feel like a new person and so much more comfortable. Dr. Lu was great before and after surgery and I was not worried at all. I can not recommend him enough.

Nobody could tell me I have a double chin now

Where to begin? I have always been underweight or on the low end of normal weight. Still, my double chin was so prominent. No matter how much weight I lost it wouldn't budge. I tried EVERYTHING. The little chin workout exercise devices, the diets, makeup, even Kybella! *Side note: In my personal experience, 3 vials of Kybella did a TEENY TINY bit of slimming (I'd say 5-10% fat reduction), but...

Q: Lift or no lift with breast aug? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. BakhosFebruary 20, 2024

A: From the photos you provided your nipples appear to be in a good position. I don't think a lift is necessary. A breast augmentation alone will give you a nice result.

Q: Does every facelift need to be done under general anesthesia?
Answered by Dr. BakhosFebruary 6, 2024

A: Not necessarily. Facelifts can be done with sedation or local only. It just depends on what you and your surgeon are comfortable with.

Q: Do I need a breast lift to achieve fuller breasts? (photo)
Answered by Dr. BakhosFebruary 6, 2024

A: Based off of this photo, it does look like you have some breast ptosis or sagging. A breast lift would bring the nipples up to the ideal position which is typically at, or just above, the level of the breast fold. This would also redistribute the breast tissue into a higher position and give you an improved breast shape. If you are seeking more upper pole fullness or larger size, this would achieved with placement of an implant. Breast augmentation with an implant and a breast lift are often performed at the same time so it wouldn't necessarily have to be two separate surgeries. I hope this helps.

Q: Which procedure would best address loose skin after weight loss? (photos)
Answered by Dr. BakhosJanuary 18, 2024

A: At age 32, I would consider non surgical options first before jumping into a facelift. Ellacor is something you can consider. It's a newer treatment that takes micro-cores of tissue out of your skin and your skin essentially tightens to fill those gaps left behind. You can get some more information and see some pictures on their website if you're interested.

Q: 25 year implant removal - will I need a lift?
Answered by Dr. BakhosJanuary 18, 2024

A: Without seeing what your breasts look like it's difficult to give a recommendation on needing a lift or not. The nice thing about saline implants is that they can be deflated. Your surgeon should be able to delate the implants in clinic with a needle. This would give you an idea of what your breasts would look like without implants, and help you in making your decision about getting a lift or not. This only works with saline implants and you have to be 100% decided on getting them out, because they can't be reinflated after this.
