I'm 46, one kid who turned 18 this year, 6ft and was about 210 post surgery. I'd lost about 30lbs in the last year. Pre baby I had a very hourglass figure 36C- 30- 36.. I was up to a 34 inch waist and no matter how much I exercised dieted I always had the saggy bloated "fupa" look..so after 10 years of researching.. I did it!! I'm pretty swollen still but I'll post pics in a few days of post op.
I knew 3 people that had surgery by her and my regular doctor also recommended Dr Riolo.I had 4 previous consultations with different doctors, before my appointment with Dr Riolo. As soon as I met her and her team I knew they were the right choice for me.Dr Riolo took time explaining the whole procedure and what to expect during recovery. My consultation was in July, I had my tummy tuck with muscle repair done in August. My recovery went very smoothly. Dr Riolo's office was available 24/7 for any incidents that may of occurred. I did call on a Sunday with a drain question which they responded to within minutes. I never felt rushed or not heard at any of my appointments. My only regret is not doing it sooner.
I did a lot of online research before scheduling my consult. Dr Riolo was at the top of my list because of her past experience with pediatric facial reconstruction. If she can do that detailed work, I knew my scars would be very minimal & there would be a lot of attention to details. My husband Ali worked in pre op for another hospital & Dr Riolo was his 1st choice as well. So I sent in an inquiry for a consult to my top choices & waited to see who calls me back. Dr Riolo's office called me 1s thing the next morning. Monique walked me through a brief pre consult & provided ballpark pricing. I immediately felt comfortable & decided to move forward with a consult with Dr Riolo.
This is by far the best med spa in Fresno, CA. Dr. Riolo’s team is the BEST. She has very specialized employees for all your beauty needs. Everyone there is so professional and they make you feel like family. I have been seeing Esther, and let me just say she’s amazing! You guys should book your appointment!
I had my first consultation with Dr. Riolo on 05/25/2022. Her staff is so friendly and welcoming! I felt extremely comfortable around them. Dr. Riolo took her time to explain every detail going into breast augmentation. I already knew I wanted to schedule with her and move forward with my surgery. I have always wanted my boobs done and I finally am going through with it. I'm extremely excited! At my consult I was able to try on different sized implants. I ended up getting 425 cc on my right boob, 455 on my left boob, silicone high profile. My left boob is smaller than my right. I'm originally a 36b bra size, I'm hoping for a low D, full C cup bra. Updated on 12 Jun 2022: I had my surgery June 9, 2022 with Dr. Riolo. I was really nervous going in since this was my first surgery ever. I had mixed emotions of being nervous and excited. Dr. Riolo and staff were very comforting and made me feel at ease. They constantly came in and checked on me during the prepping process. It all happened so quickly, they wheeled me into the OR and had me take deep breathes in an oxygen mask & I was out within a few seconds. It literally felt like I took a quick nap & the surgery was done. Dr. Riolo made the insicions underneath my breasts. I went with 450 cc silicone high profile Mentor on my left breast, 425cc silicone high profile Mentor on my right breast. My left breast is smaller than my right. When I woke up I felt very very groggy, I felt like there was an elephant sitting on my chest. But that was expected. My boyfriend was there to listen to the post care instructions and I was able to leave to go home. Make sure you already have your prescribed prescriptions prior your surgery. Those meds will be necessary to take asap. I was very nauseous from the anesthesia, I threw up a few times from the nausea. I didn't regret having the surgery, I just knew the healing process would be difficult to handle. Today is my 3rd day of recovery. My chest is still very swollen and feels tight. Especially underneath my armpit area. I was prescribed Valium, Norco, antibiotics, stool softener, and anti-nausea meds. These have been so helpful with the pain. I also purchased a probiotic due to the constipation. I haven't been able to use the restroom normally due to the medications. I've been sticking to a simple diet, water and fruits. I've been eating a lot of bananas, apples, and nectarines to help. I'm taking the stool softener, but I'm still having some trouble using the restroom. I'm not able to lift certain things like a water bottle, pulling the fridge door, don't exert yourself to try and do it yourself. Have someone help you. I also help from my boyfriend to get up from bed. Basically I have no arm strength, so make sure you have someone with you during the healing process, my boyfriend has been a great caretaker. Updated on 13 Jun 2022: I woke up this morning not feeling as tight in my chest, but underneath my armpits are still really sore. I'm going to try to stop taking my valium and Norco today. I'll be sticking to Tylenol extra strength for the soreness underneath my armpits, we'll see how it goes! But I don't want to be on narcotics for too long. My incisions are not bothering me at all. Last night my boyfriend got me prunes and activia yogurt. I had like 10 prunes last night and that really helped with the constipation. After 4 days I finally was able to use the restroom last night (sorry if that's TMI). I still need help lifting items, don't try and lift anything without help. I am able to lift small things like my laptop, a cup of water...etc. I still need help showering though, my boyfriend has been great with helping me take showers. I'm excited to see my results, but I know it will take a few months for the girls to drop and fluff. My one week follow up is in 2 days. So I'll update on that. Updated on 15 Jun 2022: Today I had my 1 week follow up with Dr. Riolo. I had my bandages removed, everything looks good. Turns out I have 450ccs in both breasts. She said that 425cc was too small for my right breast. So she went with 450ccs on both. And I am glad she did! My boobs are looking great! I can't wait for them to drop. Right now they are both still sitting up really high. Dr. Riolo gave me a band to wear over the top of my breasts to help them drop. I will be wearing the band for 8-10 hours a day for the next 3 weeks. It is really uncomfortable, but whatever will get the job done! My incisions aren't hurting, but my right breast is a little more sensitive in the incision area. I've stopped taking narcotics and only taking extra strength Tylenol for any discomfort. IF needed I will take a Valium to help me fall asleep comfortably. And thank goodness the constipation is gone as well. Updated on 22 Jun 2022: Tomorrow will be two weeks post op and I'm feeling much better. I started to use the scar cream my doctor provided me. What's bothersome is the sudden "sting/zipping" sensation in my nipple area. It only lasts for a few seconds, but feels uncomfortable when it happens. Also my breasts are very sensitive, it hurts when I accidentally rub/touch them a certain way. My doctor gave me the "OK" to use a different type of sports bra. She recommended a the Knockout Front-Close Sports Bra by Victoria Secret. I went to go get sized and I was measured at a 36 DDD, but was advised it would change within a few weeks. I tried on a 36DDD and it would not fit, the sports bra was too small & didn't zip up. So I'm still using the same bra given to me after my surgery. I have noticed my implants have dropped a bit, they are looking more natural-ish. I'm still restricted to no lifting/using my peck muscles for another 2 weeks. Which is hard because sometimes I forget & then I feel a pull/tug when I reach for something. Can't wait for the full 3 weeks of restrictions to be done with. Updated on 8 Jul 2022: Now that I'm at 4 weeks post op I stopped using the band that my surgeon advised me to wear. I think the band really helped with the implants dropping. I can definitely see my left implant dropping faster than my right. My left does look more "fluffed" as well. My right implant is still sitting a little higher, but I just have to be patient and let it drop naturally. I'm still using the scar cream that was provided to me, I'll be using that for the next 12 weeks. I'm able to use my arms way more now! I'm no longer restricted to using my arms. But I do notice I still have a hard time pushing/pulling stuff. So I'm just going to listen to my body & don't exert myself. I'm noticing a lot of sensitivity in my nipples. Also, in the mornings when I wake up my underboob area feels tingly/numb like when your foot falls asleep. What helps if I rub them & get the blood flowing, then that tingly feeling stops. Not sure what that's about, but I'll have to ask my surgeon at my 1 month follow up appointment. I bought a sports bra that opens from the front & I've been switching from that and the surgical bra that was provided to me. I'm not going to be using a different bra until my surgeon approves me to do so. Overall, I'm loving the progress. I know I still have a few more months to see the end result! Updated on 25 Jul 2022: I had my one month follow up with Dr. Riolo last week (07/18/2022) and she said I'm healing great! I got approved to wear any type of bra I would like (she said I can even go braless). She advised that I continue to use the scar cream she provided me. My implants are dropping very nicely & she said that I should continue to see a change as time goes by, she said they will fluff more. I no longer have extremely hypertensive nipples! The nurse told me to touch them more to help desensitize them, which helps!
I can not say enough about how amazing Dr. Riolo and her staff (especially Shelly) are! I had a Mommy makeover on 6/18 by a Doctor in Beverly Hills. That experience was far different than the one I had with Dr. Riolo! Dr. Riolo did my revision on 12/20 and was so meticulous with her work! She also always listened to my questions and was present, and did not make me feel rushed whatsoever! What impressed me even more than her amazing attention to detail, was the fact that she not once talked bad about my first plastic surgeons work! She is a class act! My only regret is not going to her for my original surgery! If I could give 10 stars I would! She treated me with kindness and grace, even after my surgery and at all my post-op appointments.
I've always wanted a bigger chest. And thought I'd make it happen this year. I asked friends for doctor referrals & also did my own research. I looked high and low throughout CA. I saw several doctors and eventually came across Dr. Kaye Riolo. (You know what they say: you save the best for last). I knew immediately that she was going to be my Dr! I SERIOUSLY could not be any more happier with choosing her! I was a nervous wreck the week leading up to my surgery. (Not because I didn't trust her, but simply because its SURGERY!). the day of my surgery I was pretty calm. I got to the surgical center and was greeted by the staff as well as Dr Riolo. Everyone was so nice & professional. After prepping me they wheeled me into the O.R and nikki gave me a nice "cocktail" and I was LIGHTS OUT!! lol. I woke up feeling great. My husband was by my side in what seemed like minutes after I woke up. The first day I was sore (obv) and the second day I was even more sore. But the 3rd day I was fine. No need for pain pills nor muscle relaxers. Im currently 6 days post OP and I'm loving my results so far! There's a tiny part of me that wishes I'd gone a size up but that's only because I REALLY wanted HUGE boobs. There's also a part of me that KNOWS I chose the right size! I wasnt going to post about my boobs or my journey but my husband made a great point of how much this website / community helped me with being able to see women with like-shaped bodied pics, sizes, placement, material, etc & maybe I can help someone who was once in my shoes, so here I am! My 1st check up is in a few days, so I'll come back and update the info then. this is what I have so far... Height: 5' 1" Weight: 115 lbs Before surgery: 32 full C/low D Silicon 440cc Sientra HP under the muscle Updated on 28 Sep 2020: Age: 34 No kids I did gain 30 lbs in 6 months and then lost 15 lbs. so my body kinda did the same thing that a pregnant womans body would do. Boobs got big (full DD) then deflated (to a full C/low D as mentioned in my previous review) Updated on 1 Oct 2020: Did my first check up at about a week mark. Doctor said I'm healing well. I had the bandages removed and I was able to see where the incisions were made. They are right in the crease! She did such a great job! My swelling has gone down a lot as well. Updated on 26 Jan 2021: 4 months after my procedure. I'm loving my results. They're big but not cartoon like for my body. They look natural which was a big thing for me. I didn't want them to be noticeably fake. When I have a shirt on no one notices how big they are. But when I put on a bra or bikini top they are very present! Lol.
Had breast surgery about a month ago and couldn't be any happier. Dr. Riolo is amazing! I had no pain at all after procedure and my breast are looking more wonderful every day that passes by. Totally recommend her!
I've been overweight all my life. I finally decided to make some major changes (eating less and better and moving more), I was able to lose and keep off 75 lbs. for 5 years. I knew I would need to have the excess skin removed and it was always part of my plan, once I reached 100 lbs. I went thru a very painful divorce and ended up losing 40 more lbs. After all the work and stress, I absolutely hated what I saw in the mirror. I felt better physically but couldn't stand to look at all of the excess skin. After a lot of research, I found Dr. Riolo. From the first phone call, I knew she was the right choice. Her staff is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I felt safe, understood, and like I made friends for life. Then I met Dr. Riolo. She sat directly in front of me, made eye contact with me the whole time, and listened to my story. She had reviewed the "before" pictures her nurse Michelle had taken and told me, "I want your skin"! We laughed and cried together. I had my tummy tuck and breast lift on 2/24/20. I had my 1 week follow up and was healing nicely. One week later, COVID hit. I wasn't able to go to actual appts until June. They kept in touch with me by phone and virtually. I feel and look better than I have in a very long time. I have a brachioplasty scheduled for 11/19/20 and cannot wait! I've also had some Botox and filler treatments in my face and am loving the results. This woman has changed my life in ways I try to explain to her, every time I see her!
I cannot say enough good things about Dr.Riolo and her entire staff. From her receptionist, nurses and Dr.Riolo herself they have been nothing more than perfect. Everyone treated me with such warmth and kindness. I had my initial consultation with Dr.Riolo, took my measurement and tried on implants. My initial surgery was scheduled back in March but due to covid and surgery restrictions I was pushed out until June 25,2020. During the time I waited, I did a lot of research on my own as far as sizing and implant types. Initially I had planned to have 400-450cc high profile, but went back two additional times to retry on implants. My physicians office does have 3D imagining but felt that it wasn’t very realistic. Even being so indecisive on sizing and going back to try implants three times, her entire staff was always so willing to help and put my mind at ease. Today was my surgery date, everything went incredibly well. My pain level is minimal and completely tolerable. I’m just staying up on my pain medication, nausea medication and muscle relaxers. Swelling is pretty minimal as well. Overall I couldn’t be happier with the entire process and would recommend Dr. Riolo to anyone considering breast augmentation. I ended up getting 400cc silicone, moderate profile plus implants. My stats are 5’9” and 135lbs. Breast base width was 12. Updated on 27 Jun 2020: Here’s some photos from immediately after my surgery. Everything went so well, I didn’t experience any nausea. My pain was about a 6, which the recovery nurse gave me fentanyl prior to being discharged home. I was prescribed norco, Valium, Zofran and an antibiotic. I was able to keep all my medication down that day which helped my pain level. As long as I stayed up on my pain medication my pain was very minimal. I mostly experienced extreme pressure which felt similar to needing to breastfeed my children but a little worse than that. My appetite was very minimal but tried to eat a few bites of fruit so I could tolerate all the medication. Again, my stats prior to surgery are 5’9” 135lbs. I wore a 34a/b bra and my goal is to the a 34D. I went with 400cc mentor moderate profile plus for a fuller and natural look with more cleavage and side boob. Updated on 27 Jun 2020: I’m feeling much better each day. I’m able to sleep propped up with pillows in bed without any issues. Last night was the first time I ate an actual meal, besides that I’ve just been drinking water, ginger ale and eat fruit. I’ve read that most people develop a pooch from all the medication, especially narcotics. I have a pooch as well that I can’t wait for it to go away. My chest still feels very tight but again, this recovery has been a lot easier than I pictured it to be. Here’s some photos of my progress, I’m only two days out and I love them. Can’t wait for them to drop and fluff. Updated on 28 Jun 2020: Feeling very good today, went on a walk. Minimal swelling. I have been able to decrease the amount of pain meds and muscle relaxers I’ve been taking. Sleeping on my back hasn’t been an issue at all which was one of my concerns. Really loving my results so far. I have minimal bruising around where my stitches are. My biggest issue has been constipation which from what I’ve read is a very common problem. I ended up taking warm prune juice, prunes, stool softener and laxative Updated on 1 Jul 2020: Today has been the best I’ve felt. Yesterday I only needed one dose of norco and one Valium at bedtime. I think yesterday finally caught up to me with how tired I was and how much my body is going through and fell asleep at 8pm. Sleeping on my back still hasn’t been a big deal either. I’ve been trying to discontinue my narcotics due to stomach issues and it seems to be helping. I am avoiding carbs and doing mostly a plant based diet. I’m still taking a stool softener as well. Today I woke up in no pain, around 2pm I took 2 extra strength Tylenol but again, minimal pain. I still can’t lift anything more than 3 lbs. i definently feel the discomfort if I try to exert myself. I have had almost zero swelling. I do have some bigger bruises near my incisions and I’ve noticed my left breast is dropping a little quicker than the right which I know is normal. Absolutely loving my results and have no regrets Updated on 4 Jul 2020: I went to my first week follow up. My doctor was very happy with how well I’m healing and feeling. I was given the go ahead to shower normally and continue to wean myself off my pain meds. They also gave me a different post op bra that they recommend I should be wearing 6-8hours a day for the next two weeks that has a built in compression band and a larger fitting bra since I outgrew the first one. They removed the bandages and I was shocked by how minimal the incision is, I could barely see it. I was very happy. Still have some bruising, but not bad. They measured my bra size to be a 36D or 34DD so I couldn’t help myself but to run out and buy a 36D bra (wireless and no padding ) to try on. It fit perfectly, I can’t tell you how happy it made me feel. I threw out all my old teeny bras/bralettes that afternoon, it made me so happy. I know having breast augmentation isn’t a life hanging procedure, but to me having boobs has just made me feel more like a women. I do think I could have gone an extra 25-50ccs so ladies if you’re torn like I was just go bigger. Boob greed is real. I love my results, but I still think having gone a lil bigger would have looked great too. I’ve been following a very strict plant based diet, drinking a ton of water, green tea, warm prune juice, probiotics, multivitamin and going on daily walks to help my recovery. My arm strength isn’t good at all. I really can’t lift anything more than a couple pounds which is fine, but having a 3 year old needing to be heald is a lil difficult. here’s some updated photos as well. I go back in two weeks for a follow up with my physician. Again, overall this has been the best experience and my only wish was that I did it sooner Updated on 13 Jul 2020: Healing is going really well. I’m still having to wear the compression band and post surgical bra to help the girls to drop but it isn’t uncomfortable to wear anymore. I only wear the compression band 4-8hours a day. Hopefully another week of that and then I’ll be able to wear a regular bra without wire. Still filling out a 36D. I started using biocorneum scar cream per my physician and I use it twice a day for the next 3 months to help diminish my scar. I would recommend getting this product to anyone. It really does help. Pain wise, not bad. I can use my arms again to lift groceries and things like that where before I had no strength. I’m not using any pain medication or muscle relaxers so I’ve been able to go back to my regular diet. Can’t wait to start getting back to exercising though. I’m loving my results just two weeks postop. Updated on 13 Jul 2020: I went back to see my plastic surgeon and she said I could wear a regular bra without wiring or padding now since the compression band helped the girls drop. I absolutely am loving my results. I’m so happy I went with moderate profile plus because the side boob gives me more of that hourglass shape I wanted to achieve. My PS said a lot of people don’t want side boob because they think it will make them look wider, but to me I feel like it makes your waist look smaller and gives the look of fuller, more natural breasts. I have already noticed a different with using the scar cream. Here’s some update photos as well.
For some women there is a new option for a breast lift WITHOUT a vertical scar and WITH the upper fullness usually requiring an implant! Bellesoma Breast Lift is for women who are satisfied with their overall volume, (or perhaps feel they are somewhat too big) but are sagging too low. You know who you are - you are always saying "I like my breasts if only they were up where they used to be"!!! Bellesoma takes the breast tissue from the nipple down to the fold under the breast, and shapes it into a cone. Straps of extra skin from the area are turned into "shoelaces" that are laced in and out of the pec muscle to hold the breast "where it used to be". The skin from the collarbone to the top of the nipple is used to cover the cone and the nipple is brought out through a round opening. That creates only the scar under the breast, and the scar encircling the nipple. No vertical scar. More importantly the breast is full at the top as if it were in a push up bra. While it will not work for everyone, it is a wonderful option for those with sufficient volume and sufficient excess length on the breast. Invented by Dr. Horndesky in Houston, it is now being taught to other plastic surgeons across the country. You will be hearing about it more often in the future as it produces a remarkable result.
Dear Twentytoo2 There is a new procedure I would like to tell you about, that lifts the entire breast, not just the level of the nipple, preserves the function of the breast, and looks as perky as an implant. This technique is called Bellesoma and was invented by Dr Horndeski, in Houston. Your breasts have to be saggy enough, and you have to have at least enough breast volume, if not a little too much. We use the skin of the lower pole of the breast, the part that sits in the cup of your bra, shape it into a cone, and use straps made of the extra skin, to anchor it to the underlying pec muscle. We use the skin that currently sits between your collar bone and your nipple to cover this cone, making a circular opening for your nipple to peek out again. The differences between Bellesoma and the traditional techniques are as follows: It has overall and upper pole fullness that we typically need an implant to achieve. There is no vertical scar, only the scar under the breast, and one around the areola. The breast is dynamically supported by its attachments to the muscle, so there is not the recurrence expected with a skin lift. The entire center part of the breast is undisturbed, so breast feeding is unlikely to be compromised. From your photos you appear to be a great candidate for this new technique.
You are very observant. It is important to evaluate not only the lips but also the entire mouth area before embarking on lip augmentation. This is especially true as we age, because in fact upper the lip does lengthen with gravity as we age, at the same time that the lips are getting thinner with age. In your case it is not age but the hand (lips) you were dealt!I am personally not a big fan of resecting the upper lip as it meets the nose, but rather to fill the lips conservatively in cases such as yours, accentuating the lower lip pout, and filling out the lateral lips where they can be especially thin. The moral of the story is to be sure you and your doctor are communicating well about your goals and concerns, and realistic expectations.
Dear "C", Congratulations on your decision to proceed with NeoGraft FUE hair transplant. From our experience we believe you will be very pleased with your results. The procedure really involves a redistribution of the hair population on your head, a "Rob Peter to pay Paul, so to speak." So, no, the hair in the donor area will not be as thick as it is now. As surgeons, we evaluate the density of the donor area to be sure it is thick enough that the hair density decrease will not be noticeable. But a good rule of thumb is that you can lose 60% of the density without it showing. The hair on the back of the head tends to lay like shingles on a roof, decreasing the visibility of the change. In exchange for that, the hair in the grafted area will increase in density. In our practice we find a very very high rate of satisfaction with that trade off.Best of luck to you.
Hi JessicaWhat a good job you have done maintaining your weight after three kids!Every Mom deserves a little help. Nothing can replace a physical examination, but I think I understand from what you say and from your pictures what you are experiencing with your belly. Because you are trim, when you lay down there is enough room inside your abdomen for all its contents and your belly looks flat. After babies, the fascia around the abdominal muscles is stretched out and the belly can "bulge", until you "suck your gut in". This can be in spite of having great muscle tone. In a tummy tuck we not only remove the excess skin, but we also tighten the fascia around the muscles, lacing it up in the middle like a corset. It can go as tight as you can suck it in. So if a mommy's belly is not flat laying done it wont be after the surgery in most cases. I encourage you to visit a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss this and your breasts further. Correctin them both at the same time is a wonderful mommy makeover.
