This was my 2nd time having CO2 fully ablative laser. The 1st time was 17 years ago when I felt like was looking old and haggard. I had been through some heartbreak and I think I cried for 6 months straight. Anyway, it was gruesome the first time. Less gruesome the second time. My wonderful PS, Gregory Greco of Red Bank, NJ did a great job and my skin will continue to improve over the course of a year. There is simply no better way to erase the years..and the tears.
Dr. Greco and his staff were AMAZING!!! The surgery went incredibly well, very little pain, I was off pain meds in 2 days, driving in four day and back to work in a week. I never had the weird square shape boob, they were sitting high, but looked completely normal and natural from the start. No bruising at all. So so happy with the results!!
im 5'7" 170 lbs. I knew after my first I wanted to get rid of the classic csection pooch and stubborn fat. I'm not sure if I'm ready to post pics maybe after pics... Feeling very anxious and scared to death but I'm trying to remember why I wanted this in the first place. I seriously do not want to try on another bathing suit like this. I have a very supportive husband and a big support system. I'm so lucky. I'm prepared but not ready. If that makes sense. Updated on 20 Jan 2016: im off all of the pain meds besides Tylenol I did not tolerate them well. ( vomited last night) I have been sleeping in my bed with lots of pillow. Yesterday was very very difficult but today is a tiny bit better. Updated on 21 Jan 2016: Post of day 3. Off all pain meds including Tylenol. Trust me I wish I could take them. I can't seem to shake the nausea which has been the worst for me because of like to be upright longer but I get sick. Updated on 21 Jan 2016: i took a shower with the help of my wonderful husband. That was quite a task. Thank goodness I had a shower chair. I felt quite dizzy at the end and had to lay down immediately. Then we re did the dressing and zipped me up into the torture device. I finally felt less nauseous and was able to get up multiple times to walk. Feeling like I've turned a small corner. Updated on 23 Jan 2016: So the Lipo pain in my flank/ lower back area has been brutal. Every time I get up or down it feels like I get tasered there. I feel like things are getting tighter in the abdominal area I was able to walk straighter two days ago. The itching is setting in although I know that is progress. I really want to be up and moving more but I dread getting up so much. Once up moving is getting easier. Here's an updated picture I hope you enjoy my stickers. Lol. Updated on 25 Jan 2016: yayyy one week closer to being back to normal minus the skin and chub of course. I feel amazing. Still sore but have figured out gentle ways of getting up and down that are less painful. I've also successfully figured out how to stop a sneeze. When you feel a sneeze coming on ( early detection is key) you hold your nose tight and try to blow out of your nose ( which you can't because your holding it). It must be the pressure but it stops a sneeze 90% of the time. This of course saves my poor healing stomach muscles. Hope it works for other people! Updated on 18 Feb 2016: I had my drain out exactly 1 week ago so happy to see it go! I'm feeling great. Still numbness in hips and back from lipo. I love how my breasts are dropping and softening. My incisions are lightening with scar strips. I'm using the Biodermis brand as of today. I started with mepitac because it was the brand I could get shipped to my house the quickest. I'll let you know my reviews on them when they've had more time to work. I'm posting some updated pictures. Sorry about the stickers but I wouldn't post any pictures without them. Not brace enough ;-). 1 1/2 more weeks until I can start exercising and I'm looking forward to that. Swelling hasn't been so bad probably because I had drains in forever! Updated on 18 Feb 2016: I hope this one makes it easier to see sorry it's dark but I really can't be running around the house nude looking for better light. :-)
I have had several round of skin lasering on my face and chest area. I have Irish skin that is dry, wrinkles easily and discolored by freckles. Dr. Greco is an artist as well as totally professional. He doesn't overdo anything, he gives solid advice (including telling me not to do an expensive procedure because a less expensive procedure would be more effective). His staff is outstanding and he is in very high demand. However, there is no elitism in his manner or his office and he never makes you feel rushed. Anyway, I had five days of red skin after the procedure which goes with the territory. The Albi repair kit Dr. Greco gives out is fantastic. Within two weeks, my skin looked beautiful. Everyone tells me how great I look even though they don't know that I had the laser treatment. My skin looks and feels great. Dr. Greco has also done Juvederm and Volumma treatments on me and again, he is an artist. Every thing he does is subtle and makes you look naturally beautiful. I am VERY picky about doctors and have access to the best because I live near NYC> Dr. Greco is my go to person for anything cosmetic.
Suffered with back pain for years, even before my children. MRI of spine showed abnormalities. My insurance is covering the procedure. I have been very unhappy with the appearance of my breast. I am hoping this procedure will help releived neck and back pain. Very tired due to Percocet will add more later. Updated on 23 Feb 2015: OMG! The bruising is terrible. Pain is pretty bad but Percocet is controlling it. Took photo but not posting yet... Pretty scary looking. From what I can see so far I'm happy I went through with it.
I am 45 years old. I have two children, ages 17 and 14. I had gained alot of weight and tried every diet. I resolved myself that I would always be fat and dumpy. About a year and a half ago, however, I decided to change my lifestyle-not diet. I started eating healthy and I went back to spinning at the gym. I didn't focus on the scale I focused on how much healthier I was feeling. I have lost over 55 pounds and kept it off for over a year now. The problem is my body doesn't show all of my hard work in the way I would like it to-I have hanging skin and sagging boobs. I finally decided that I was too young for that and I am doing this for me. My husband loves me just the way I am but he said he will support me.I am scheduled to have a Tummy tuck, breast lift with augmentation, and lipo of flanks and thighs. I was very nervous but this site has helped me feel so much better. I am not telling too many people because I am kind of private. That is why it is so wonderful to have all of you to help me through this. I want to thank all of the women who have posted their experiences, it means so much. I will continue to post as my day gets closer. One quick question-did any of you rent recliners? I notice many of you post that it is easier to sleep in a recliner and there are companies who rent the recliners that lift. Is this a waste of my money? Thanks. Updated on 15 May 2011: Hi everyone. I am slowly getting ready for my MM on July 11th. I have a few questions: did any of you order supplements from "MakeMeHeal.com"? Do they really help with swelling? Did they make you nauseus? Also, I have seen different things posted by people as far as what to get before time to prepare for recovery. Of course, I now can't find these particular posts because I need them. I will be posting before pics as soon as my husband can help me-I am a dinosaur with technology. Updated on 27 Jun 2011: I went out yesterday and bought the supplies suggested by others that I think I will need: polysporin peroxide surgical gloves q-tips gauze wisp toothbrushes Milk of Magnesia Gas X bed pads (some people said they leaked from the lipo) feminine flushable wipes ice packs nonadhesive wraps elastic exercise band safety pins Have I forgot anything? I am leaving for vacation on Wednesday and I will not be back until the (th of July so I am trying to get all my ducks in a row. My pre-op appointment is tomorrow. I also posted pictures. Updated on 27 Jun 2011: As you can see....I am totally clueless about posting pictures. It took me forever to figure it out and now I am upside down. (soooo typical for me). Updated on 28 Jun 2011: Just came from PS appointment. I am paid in full and filled all of my prescriptions. I am off on vacation for a week and then it is my turn:) Every now and then I get nervous and wonder what am I doing and am I being selfish but then I think, why not-I am worth it. I do everything for everyone else and this will make me feel so much better about myself. Updated on 8 Jul 2011: I just returned from vacation and I cannot believe it is only 2 days away. I am glad I was in Disney because I was distracted. Every now and then I would think about it and a flush of nervousness would come over me. I spoke with doctor's office today and everything is a go for 7:00 on Monday morning. The one thing they reminded me was to be aware that when you get lipo you can have leaks. I got bed pads for my recliner but they said to have the car seat also protected (didn't think about that). Just FYI in case you are also getting lipo. I decided to wear a wrap dress -someone had recommended that and I thought that was a great idea. My surgeon thought so too. The wrap dress is too big ( I bought it when I had lost about 30 pounds- I lost an additional 27 lbs. so it just hangs). I just hope I can stay calm for the next 2 days. I know I will be happy but I am nervous. I seem most weirded out about the breast lift and augmentation-I don't know why. Thanks for everyone's support. Updated on 10 Jul 2011: Well, it is 8:00 the night before my surgery. Thank you to all the people wishing me well. I appreciate it. My surgeon called me an hour ago to make sure I didn't have any questions. I am drinking alot of water (he told me to stay hydrated). I am excited and keeping busy today. I will talk to you afterward. Updated on 11 Jul 2011: Hi everyone. It is late at night and I am in some pain but it is managable. All went well. It was so funny...one minute I am talking to the anestesiologist and literally the next moment a recovery nurse was asking how I was doing and that it was all over. Moving around today has been challenging-thank god foe the help I have. I took my meds including nausea meds but I did briefly get sick anyway. I am feeling better now. I have to say I am so glad I have a rec liner that lifts, it has really helped. Wiping down yonder is a little challenging so my hubby has to help. (God I love him). Trying to stay hydrated -my doctoe said if you usually drink caffine to have some to avoid a massive headache so I am having a cup of tea. I was nervous about swelling but I really don't need a headache. been sleeping on and off since I came home at 6:30. My first post op appt is tomorrow. My breasts are beginning to hurt but I must say the lipo is probably the most uncomfortable followed by the tummy. I need to thank the women who recommended pads for leaking. I have been leaking alot!!! If you are getting lipo, get bed pads. Please also read Kimmers advice. I kept thinking today how alot of her tips were helpful. The wrap dress was perfect-the nurses said so too. Take care and I will post soon. Updated on 12 Jul 2011: Okay, it is about 7:40 in the morning and I am feeling much better. Everyone is right, the pain is managable. The first few hours were unpleasant but by midnight I was feeling a little better. One thing that several ladies suggested and I firmly believe it is to stay on your meds and take them on time. I think that is why I feel so good. Thank you to all the ladies who went before me. You were so helpful. I have not peeked yet but the nurses were saying that everything looks really good. (My husband pointed out that they work for him but hell, I 'll take the good report). Updated on 13 Jul 2011: I am feeling so great! I took a shower last night-my surgeon told me it was fine to shower with my drains in. It felt so good. It took my hubby a while to get me all re-bandaged up and to get my garments on. God bless him-he was exhausted. I took a picture but as you all know, I am clueless with posting pictures. I have to say I am SO HAPPY that I did this. I feel so much better about myself. I am swollen like a grape but I know thanks to the ladies before me that it will pass. My breasts look so much better. I told my surgeon I didn't want to go bigger (I am a small woman) just rounder and perkier. I am pleased with the results. Updated on 13 Jul 2011: I am sooooo swollen!I am pleased with how the supplements are helping with the bruising but I swear I feel like I am going to pop. Any suggestions? I have been drinking just water-I thought other things might be retaining water but maybe this is normal. I know many ladies mentioned swelling but this is surreal. Updated on 15 Jul 2011: Hi everyone. Went to plastic surgeon-he said things look good. He said swelling was normal but he did give me a different garment that would make me more comfortable. The garment comes all the way down to above my ankles. The new garment is helping alot. I am more comfortable. I am off the pain meds-that doesn't mean I am pain free but it is managable. The lipo is the most painful:( I am hoping my drain will come out next week. Updated on 17 Jul 2011: Tomorrow I will be one week post op. I am off pain meds which is good. The worst part for me is being hunched over. When does that get better? Is there anything I can do to walk more uprite? It is very uncomfortable. I am still swollen but it seems a bit better. I am itchy and I will be happy when my drain is removed-it is still filling up with about 60ml a day so I don't think I will be losing it until at least Wednesday. Thing are going well just the discomfort I described above. (I walk like the Hunchback of Notredame). I feel better every day which is good news. Updated on 18 Jul 2011: Tried sleeping in my bed last night for first time and did ok. My husband suggested it because of the hunched back. He thought maybe my back was having trouble because of always being curved in recliner. he might be on to something because it felt a little looser today. Updated on 19 Jul 2011: Had a good day today. Tried driving-haven't felt up to it until today. WEnt around neighborhood with my son (he drives so if I felt woozy he could get us home). I got a muscle relaxant from my doctor and it has helped. I wish I could get my drain removed but still too much stuff coming out. I am trying to be patient (not easy grrr). Hope all is well with all of you. Updated on 20 Jul 2011: Having a good day. Everyone is right, every day gets easier. I think the biggest problem is being careful to not overdue things. I ran some errands with my hubby today. I is wonderful to feel normal (or sort-of...I still have this funky drain). To all the ladies just recovering, know that it does get better because it can be difficult at moments. Updated on 21 Jul 2011: Day 10- Okay...I still have 40ml of kool aid coming out of my drain. MY doctor said I will be good by Monday, so Monday it is. My hubby and I took a drive down the shore today (yes, this is New Jersey-we call it the shore, not the beach). However, I have never met people like those characters on reality T.V. -Most of us are just normal people. We had lunch on the water and it felt so good to feel comfortable (don't get me wrong..I am not pain free but it isn't bad). It is wonderful to know that you are on the road to recovery. I just thought I would tell you ladies who are just post-op that. It is difficult being in the house wearing a lovely housedress. You have down moments and wonder when you will turn that corner. Don't worry, better days are just around the corner-hang in there. Updated on 24 Jul 2011: Hi everyone! Tomorrow I will be 2 weeks post op and I am feeling very well. I actually led a pretty normal life this weekend. My daughter and I went to breakfast today and did some school shopping. We then made dinner together. My husband and son are doing a father and son trip (they do it every year). I was worried but I am fine. The best part is my drain is finally empty!!!!I hope it is therefore it will be coming out tomorrow. Everyone says it hurts a bit but I will just bear it-lets face it, we are all very strong ladies. Thank you again for everyone's advice-this site is such a blessing. Updated on 24 Jul 2011: I forgot to mention...I am walking upright! You ever see those pictures with the caveman and the subsequent pictures with man standing a bit taller and a bit taller until they are walking upright on two legs. That is how I feel-I slowly evolved to an upright position. I also found I had to walk really sloooww when I started walking upright-so don't worry and take your time. Updated on 25 Jul 2011: I am 2 weeks post op today and my drain is out!!! yay! I was so nervous because some people had said it would be painful but Dr. Greco is so great-he told me not to worry and said he would give me a local because he didn't want me to be in pain. (He is wonderful-I am so pleased with my doctor and the staff. I highly recommend them if you live in New Jersey or New York). I can also start wearing Spanx which will be so much easier to put on and take off. I am still swollen so I haven't taken any more pictures. I will update my pictures when the swelling subsides a bit. Updated on 26 Jul 2011: I did too much yesterday-one of the pitfalls of feeling great. You feel like you can just keep on going. My feet looked like canteloupes last night by about 8:30 and I could barely walk...not good. Felt better today and I did have to run errands and promised to take my daughter to the mall for lunch. I ran my errands and then went to lunch in the mall. I was all set for us to do our usual walk all around the mall looking in all of the shops when I started thinking about my mistake from yesterday. We only went to 2 stores and then I decided that I still felt well but should quit while I am ahead so I do not make the same mistake and be stuck in Nordstrom's with canteloupe feet. WE headed home (almost stopped in another store but stuck to my guns and went home). I still feel great-trust me I am always swollen but at least not painfully swollen where you feel like your skin will split. I am now going to put my feet up and read. I hope someone out there can learn from my mistake...don't push it-quit when you still are feeling well. Updated on 27 Jul 2011: Hi everyone. Doing pretty well except for this darn swelling. I put these flexible ice packs that I bought at Target on my legs...and they helped. Didn't cure, but got a little relief. The ice packs look like a bunch of ice cubes connected-I think it is designed to line the inside of a cooler. I elevated my legs with pillows and laid a towel over them in case of any leakage. I then put one under and another over and just laid there for a bit (20-25 min.) and read a book. When I got up, my feet felt better. Just thought I would share something that helped. Updated on 29 Jul 2011: Had something interesting develop earlier this week. I noticed a triangular sore under one of my nipples. It had a discharge and I was very nervous. I called the doctor and he said it is very common but if I could come in, he would take a look. I went in and sure enough he said it is a common problem with breast lifts because it is where all of the sutures meet. He said to just put some aquaphor on it and it will begin to heal. I noticed that it is looking better today so that is good news. My doctor also said I had a little bit of fluid in my lower abdomen so he drained it (I didn't feel anything because it is still numb there. I have started to massage my breasts, I am interested in how long other ladies are doing this for(minutes, frequency, etc.) I think my breasts are dropping slightly, I will take pictures soon and you can be the judge. Updated on 3 Aug 2011: Hi ladies. I have put up some updated pictures. I am swollen but still happy with the results. I will be happy when the swelling is finished but I am being patient-I am just happy to be pain free and able to lead a normal routine without any trouble. I am still being careful to not overdo it. I went to the doctor yesterday and got a little bit of fluid drained (doesn't hurt at all-I just don't like to look). Updated on 3 Aug 2011: I realized that when I said I am pain free that might be misleading. I do have a pulling sensation in my belly and sometimes my legs but it really isn't that bothersome. I have started using silicone strips for the scars. I will let you know how I progress. Updated on 8 Aug 2011: I am 4 weeks post-op today. I was getting dressed this morning and my husband was in the room. We both commented on how we can now start seeing the results of the lipo. The swelling is subsiding and my hips all of the sudden look smaller (yay). I tried on clothing that I bought recently (had to for vacation-didn't have clothes that fit-just a few things) and now they are too big-really big. Things seem to be all coming together. I hope this helps for those of you who are just recovering or getting geared up for your surgery. Some results I saw right away and others are still happening due to the swelling. Updated on 11 Aug 2011: Got the OK to return to spin! I went to my first class...of boy! I couldn't believe how difficult it was! I took it easy but holy cow...it was difficult. I will be patient and just keep going-it is bound to get easier as time goes on:) I also got the OK to stop wearing my garments which is great when I want to wear a short dress. I still like the security of the binder-the nurse in my PS office said to wear it while spinning. I don't think I would have gotten through the class without it. I have started shopping for clothes (fun!!). It is so nice to have things fit nicely. I am so happy I did this. (My husband seems happy too:) Updated on 14 Aug 2011: Good news...swelling is going down. I can actually see my ankles:) Updated on 11 Jul 2012: Today is my one year anniversary! Having the Mommy makeover was the best decision I made. I am so happy with my results! Will try to post pictures soon. My scars on my breasts are not even noticable. I had capsular constrictions which needed to be fixed (in office procedure-not a big deal). Good luck to those who are getting ready to have their surgery. You will be happy you did.
I was motivated because my original surgery move implants from above to below muscle failed and my entire implant pocket was open and implant migrated lower and into armpit. I regret not going toma surgeon who took the problem more seriously, not the original surgeon who performed the first procedure, In retrospect i think being more informed as to how to avoid this complication in original operation would have been preferable I declined the free revision because the surgeon clearly didn’t do a good job and was unprofessional. I am seeing a breast reconstruction surgeon recommended by a major medical association that should be able to actually perform the surgery successfully and behave professionally. i am shy about posting photos but will send if someone is interested in seeing how he can actually look worse after surgery to improve aesthetics.
After researching and meeting with doctors for years I finally booked my breast reduction and lift for July 24th! A little over two weeks away. I'm so excited. I've aways had bigger boobs 36 DD but as I've gotten older they've lost volume/shape and have become droopy. I hate wearing bathing suits and they prevent me from wearing a lot of cute tops because strapless bras arent really an option for me. I'm hoping to go down to a full C and have happy perky boobs like a 23 year old should ! Updated on 17 Jul 2017: One week pre-op can't wait Updated on 18 Jul 2017: I've started prepping for my surgery on monday, after speaking with my doctor and some friends who've done it. Here is a list of everything. - Prescription pain meds, I was prescribed Percocet and Neurotin. -Prescription Bactroban ointment (work in the emergency room using it as a precaution..I'm exposed to some pretty nasty stuff at work. No infections!) - Tylenol 500mg (I'm hoping they will provide me with enough comfort/pain relief..I'm not comfortable taking Percocet) - 5 front clasp sports bras - Stool softener and laxatives -Probiotics - A maternity pillow ( full body support..expensive but worth it) - Mederma scar oil - Button down shirts - Sterile gauze and medical tape - 2 good books lol Updated on 24 Jul 2017: I had my surgery today.. I can already tell the new girls are super perky ! My surgery was around 8 am and lasted almost 3 hours. Then was in recovery for a few hours..I remember get yelled at a few times for getting off my stretcher lol I felt well enough to get up and go to the bathroom (even though I wasn't supposed to get up unassisted). I was very cranky and snippy, which isn't my personality at all ! Once I started waking up more I calmed down and was acting more like myself lol. As far as pain its nonexistent! They gave me numbing injections and a Percocet. I'm shocked at how great I feel.. hopefully the next few days continue like this. My doctor called me personally to check up on how I was feeling which was really comforting, he actually cares about his patients. I have a post-op appointment tomorrow to change my dressings and I'll get a sneak peak at the new girls! Cant wait ! Updated on 26 Jul 2017: The numbing medicine definitely wore off and I'm feeling a lot more discomfort today than the previous 2 days. Nothing a Tylenol can't fix. I get to take shower which I'm looking forward too more than anything lol. My boobs are a little scary to look at with all the bruises and stitches but so far they look great, still really hard and firm but that's to be expected 3 days post op. The worst part is probably the bloating from not being able to use the bathroom.. hopefully I'll have some luck with that today lol Updated on 26 Jul 2017: Here's a picture of my incision ! Updated on 27 Jul 2017: I'm so happy I finally decided to go through with the surgery. I'm loving my new boobs and can't wait for them to fully heal. Updated on 30 Jul 2017: Tomorrow will be one week since my surgery! I would say pain is almost nonexistent at this point, I haven't taken even a Tylenol the past few day. I'm still sore under my arms where the liposuction was done but nothing unmanageable. I even went out with the girls for drinks last night, after being cooped up all week it was much needed ! I have a follow-up appointment on Tuesday with my doctor to check on everything and hopefully be able to get out of these compression surgical bras. I'm also dying to get back into the gym so hopefully that won't be too far off. Updated on 1 Aug 2017: I just got home from my second doctors appointment...everything is looking really good. I'm not having any pain but I'm so itchy...I'd almost rather be in pain ! I developed a little rash (I think from scratching in my sleep), my incision aren't itchy it's the whole boob and armpit area. It's driving me so crazy, even if a piece of my hair brushes across them it drives me into an itching frenzy! My doctor didn't know what was causing it but he wasn't too concerned, just said to apply hydrocortisone cream to the whole area and keep an eye on it. Hopefully it goes away shortly before I lose my mind. They also removed some stitches today and reminded me to be careful and continue taking it easy since I'm in no pain. I'm still pretty numb and swollen where the liposuction was done but am regaining feeling in my nipples which is a good sign. After my appointment I went and got coolscupting done ( I'll post a separate review on it) ! Like everyone else had said would happen I'm overly aware of how not flat my stomach is now.. no boobies to hide behind I guess. I had been saving up for my breast reduction but insurance ended up covering the whole thing so I though why not treat myself to some coolscupting! Updated on 3 Aug 2017: Late last night I started breaking out in hives that spread from my chest to my arms and stomach. I also had a low-grade fever. It was around 9:30 pm so I went to my local emergency room and they gave me IV antibiotics, did some bloodwork, and gave me a prescription for Keflex. They called my surgeon and I have an appointment with him as soon as the office opens up. Hopefully it's just a reaction to the ointment or something and not an infection!! Updated on 4 Aug 2017: My weird rash isn't getting any better :( It's horribly itchy and painful. My boobs have it the worst but I have small bumps that spread from my chest to my arms and abdomin as well. I'm doing everything they said antibiotics, hydrocortisone cream, letting them get air, washing with antibacterial soap, everything! Anyone else experience anything like this ? I can't take it even showering hurts ! Updated on 6 Aug 2017: Updated on 9 Aug 2017: Tomorrow is my first day back to work, my job isn't physically demanding. I'm still dealing with the rash and itching (definitely a lot better) and I'm finishing my antibiotics today. I have a tiny spot under my right breast that looks slightly questionable, but I have a routine doctors appointment tomorrow. I went on a long walk today pushing a stroller and am feeling slightly sore and swollen.. maybe pushed myself a little too hard. Updated on 15 Aug 2017: I can't believe it's been three weeks ! I'm feeling amazing..after a few bumps in the road. I finished my antibiotics and no longer have that horrible rash. My left boob is healing really well (although it is very swollen today) the incision looks great and I think the scar will minimal. My right breast is the problem child, my incisions have opened slightly on my underside and under my nipple. I have an appointment with my doctor next week to check on it and see if it's getting any better. I do get sharp pains here and there that last for a few seconds and notice that if I'm moving around alot my breast get swollen and I usually ice them for a little while before bed. The weird ridges in the picture are from my bras (still wearing them 100% of the time unless showering) Updated on 19 Aug 2017: Tonight I went out without my ugly surgical bra and wore one of my all time favorite tops and it actually fit me comfortably! I used to get so much (unwelcomed) attention because of my large chest and last night felt so good to just throw on a top and go without tape or strapless bras etc. Here's a before and after in my favorite top ! Updated on 12 Sep 2017: It's been a while since I updated.. I went to the doctors this morning and everything looks great. I'm still having pain where the liposuction was done and still have one tiny area that isn't closed and bleeds here and there. Otherwise everything is healing great and I'm back to all normal activities.
Hi everyone! This will be my second review on this site in the last year. :) My first was for my rhinoplasty with Dr. Kassir. I actually found this site through him. His office asked if I would review him on it, and I did. Little did I know, it would become the place I came to for all of my BA research! So, thank you everyone I've been stalking since then! :) Like my nose, I've wanted my breasts done since about the time I was 16. It was about that time I realized they were oddly shaped, and didn't quite look like all the other girls'. It's never bothered me that they're on the small side. It's always been the shape. I've never been able to fit into a regular bra. And by that I mean, I can't buy an A sized bra from Victoria's Secret, Hane's, Warner's, etc. They just don't fit because of the weird shape. I have to go to the little girl department at J.C. Penny or Target to find one that even remotely fits correctly, and even then, I don't fill the whole cup. The good thing about though, is that they are usually 2-for-$12! This has definitely saved me money over the years! But I would like just one really beautiful bra, since I've never in my life owned one! :) I'm 37-years old, and I think I've had these boobs for long enough! When I had my nose job, my pre-op blood work came back irregular. I had severe anemia, and my PCP wanted me to go to the hospital for blood transfusion because my iron was THAT low. To make a long story short, it turned out I had colon cancer. Who knew! I had no symptoms, and had it not been for my wanting to get my nose done, it would still be growing inside of me! Lucky for me, colon cancer is a very slow growing cancer, and although I had already had it for a couple of years, I was only stage 1! I had the tumor, a foot of my colon, my appendix, a few inches of my small intestine, and 24 lymph nodes all removed. My nose job literally saved my life. Because of this, I no longer want to wait to do the things I've been holding back on doing for one reason or another. A breast augmentation is just one of these things! Attached are pictures of what I've got now. It's not much. What you can't tell from the pictures is how they look like torpedoes. Which is how they are most of the time, unless I'm cold, or something. If that's the case then, they look somewhat normal. I hardly have any fullness at all, and never really have. I've consulted with a handful of PSs and some have wanted to lower my fold anywhere from a .5cm to 2cm, while others said I don't need them lowered. I've also been told that I have a mild form of constricted/tuberous breasts, and from another doctor, I've been told I don't. I also have mild asymmetry. Some doctors have noticed, some haven't. Because of all of the different things I've been told, it was hard to decide who to go to. In the end, I've decided to go to Dr. Gregory Greco in Red Bank, NJ. He was very informative, and his staff has been so helpful in answering all my questions so far. Right now, I'm and A and I'm looking to be a small C. But really, I'll take whichever size implant will give me the nicest shape. Ultimately, that will be up to Dr. Greco once in the operating room. He'll bring in lots of different sizes and profiles to see what fits and looks best. At my consult, I tried on a handful of cc's ranging from 250-300. Since researching this site, everything from a 250-330cc on a woman with my stats, and similar pre-op breast tissue, is visually pleasing to my eye. I have two and a half months left and I would like all the help I can get in regards to what everyone thinks and knows, and what they've found was helpful to them through out this whole process from pre- to post-op. All suggestions and comments welcome!!! Thank you and I hope everyone is doing well!! Updated on 5 Dec 2016: Since I've been stalking this site, I've been collecting pictures of everything in my range. Some of these pictures are of other RealSelf user reviews. I wish I would have kept track of some of the reviewers. If you see your breasts, please be flattered and not upset! Some of these pictures are also what I'm taking to show the doctor at my pre-op. Updated on 6 Dec 2016: A while ago, I made rise sizers with rice and panty hose in sizes 250cc, 286cc, and 300cc. So far the 300cc are my favorite. I do feel like they're so big, though! But I think it's just because I'm so used to seeing nothing. :) Interestingly enough is that the 300cc really don't look that big at all in the photos. They look the most proportional. I've been wearing the different sizes to work everyday and no one could tell I even had bigger boobs! That's what I want! Luckily, it's winter and I'm also able to hide a bit under sweaters and other winter shirts. A handful of women I work with know I'm getting the BA, and they're the ones I tell when I have the sizers in. They all like the 300cc, too. There's such a slight difference between them all! I have to make 325cc sizers abs start wearing them, too. Did anyone else wear sizers to work and/or around all the time prior to getting your BA? And did anyone notice if and when you did? I've attached pictures of without and all the different sizes, and some more pictures of what I hope to look like in bathing suits after. :) Updated on 21 Feb 2017: So far, I could not have asked for a better surgery and recovery! The day of my surgery I was given IV sedation, local anesthetic, and the nerve blocker Exparel which consists of eight injections on each side of my chest along my ribs, so 16 in total. The whole surgery took just under an hour. Dr. Greco called the night before, and the night after to check in on me, as well as the surgical center, and Dr. Greco's surgical coordinator, Laura, who is amazing and answered every single question I've had over the last few months. Today is post-op day four ad I have had zero pain. Over the last four days, I've taken a few muscle relaxers just to calm the little bit of pressure at the top of my pecks. That is it! But I haven't been over doing anything to keep things this way. Attached are pictures from the day of, you'll notice the binding, and from POD1 after Dr. Greco and Laura took the binding off. At my pre-op visit I mentioned I wanted to go bigger than originally though, and I'm so glad I did!! Dr. Greco made the final decision in the OR and chose the 350cc's. He also lowered my natural breast fold a bit and secured the new fold with internal sutures. When I go back for my one week visit, I'll get the compression band to push the implants down into the pockets. Updated on 7 Apr 2017: I'm currently seven weeks post-op. My left as dropping nicely, and getting soft, though still somewhat high and full on top. My right is still tight, harder and higher and really hasn't changed in the last three weeks. It doesn't move around as nicely as the left. I'm massaging it daily. So, hopefully something will happen in the next few weeks. Updated on 17 May 2017: They're getting better!! My doctor did say that I would really start to see changes around the three month mark, and I've just started to notice within the last couple of weeks. My right breast is still bit higher, that's also my dominant side, but it has fallen within the last week and half even more. You'll be able to see what I mean in the pictures. The lower pole still now needs to fill out. I am happy to say that the upper pole fullness is subsiding. I do want more lower pole fullness than upper and am waiting very patiently for this to happen. They are also starting to take on a more natural appearance from the side which I'm also very pleased about. I have attached some photos. Updated on 17 May 2017: Updated on 16 Aug 2017: They're getting better everyday! I still have more upper pole fullness than I wanted, so I'm hoping the skin of my lower pole will still stretch out a bit allowing the implants to fall more. Especially on my left breast. The fold was lowered on my right about a centimeter and because of that, the implant sits lower, and has slightly less upper pole, which I like. My left fold was not lowered, but maybe cold have been about a half centimeter. In any case, they at 100% better than what I started with, and for that I am extremely happy!!
Pre op was 10/18/16 and surgery is 11/4/16 Dr. Greco will bring at least 15 sizers into the operating room and decide what looks best during surgery. Going in the 500cc range round smooth silicone. I have wide bwd of 15-16cm and need larger size to see any significant change. I'm probably a 34b currently. I gave him wish pics which he found helpful as well as trying sizers at the preop and I also showed him a few pics of what I don't like. In my mind I'm thinking DD but doctors don't find bra size helpful. My surgeon doesn't see benefit to icing after or sleeping elevated. He uses iv sedation with local pain blockers. That should cut down on the pain of the first few days. Updated on 23 Oct 2016: Updated on 28 Oct 2016: I ordered these inexpensive playtex sports bras on Amazon- zipper, no padded cup, wide supportive straps and very important long so won't cut into incision. I think these will be great! Was around $18 depending on size. Updated on 28 Oct 2016: 1)See my update on great sports bra. 2)colace for constipation and Benadryl if itchy from meds. Dr suggested to get these two over the counter items. 3) Neosporin which he said I will put on incision only once a day (if more will cause a rash) He does gauze and this vs tape. 4) he says don't need to ice or sleep elevated but I'm prepared with one those reading pillows and ice if I find it comforting. 5)been taking daily vitamin with low vit E and separate 1000 mg of vit C 6) stocked up on heavy groceries for kids when I can't drive or lift. 7) prescriptions 4: antibiotics, nausea meds, pain meds and muscle relaxer. He said antibiotics only thing have to take but muscle relaxers will be helpful and more helpful than pain meds. 8) bought larger zipper sweatshirts for first week. 9)bought soup to have on hand for afterwards 10) made plans for dog to go away for a few days since I won't be able to walk him and I got a front lead harness which prevents pulling by leash hooking on front so when he returns after a few days he won't jeopardize my healing by pulling me. 11) I already had bendy straws for drinking which some women here recommended. Updated on 5 Nov 2016: Totally recommend iv sedation with local pain blockers vs doing general. Bounced back from sedation within minutes and I was surprised how I was l less groggy than dental sedation I had. No nauseous feelings and they gave anti nausea meds in operating room in iv so I haven't needed any at home. I've been taking the Percocet and Valium for any pain. I do suggest sleeping elevated or in recliner coz stiff getup during night. As Dr said it feels soar like too much and bad workout at gym. True, Bearable so far with meds. Comfy sitting until need get up to move around and we need to move. Have someone leave tops of meds bottles open coz u can't. I can go bathroom alone, sit and stand up alone. Use core not arms. Take colace over the counter to get a bowel movement sooner than later. Going dr today to remove bandage and use sports bra. Will confirm size profile today he had do two sizes if u read my original post. Updated on 5 Nov 2016: Definitely had to sleep elevated or I wouldn't be able to get up as we need use core and legs and not arms. Def more soar this morning as I guessed for day after surgery. Brushed my teeth just now but too hard to brush hair so I will wait for friend who stayed for first night to get up and she can brush my hair. Burns under right armpit. Other then the follow up dr appt just going watch tv this weekend. Updated on 5 Nov 2016: Updated on 5 Nov 2016: Dr said looks good and took off ace bandage. He showed me how once day put little Neosporin on incisions then wrap breast with gauze daily and with sports bra on top (their sports bra). Go back next thurs and get band to wear on top. I told them hard not walk hunched over and they said roll shoulders back or stand up against wall. Otherwise hunching over will cause back spasm. He said normally high at beginning but I won't be getting square frankenboobs. Apparently his patients don't get square look at beginning and I asked why he just said something about stretching causes that...whatever that means. He tried diff sizes styles in operating room...he said if right side bone didn't protrude which means right boob projects more even tho my boobs were same size he could of easily threw in 550 or 600 in both since I can handle it BUT since bone issue he couldn't go larger than 385 high profile on right without it going into my armpit and he put 505 high profile on left to match right and it hides bone and looks balanced. Moral of story Dr needs decide what works. I got to see them naked at office and look good. When I change gauze tomorrow I will take pic. He uses either allergen or Sientra. He used Sientra so sizing little diff. Updated on 5 Nov 2016: Even tho Dr said won't change outcome so not necessary I did find helpful with pain today to ice. Yesterday was surgery. Meds helped yesterday but today icing seemed help better than meds. Updated on 6 Nov 2016: Updated on 7 Nov 2016: Dr brought in various sizes and profiles and although I think he's a big fan of moderate plus he went with what worked best. I'm wide and I might of expected mod plus and he said if right bone on right chest wall didn't protrude my breasts would of been easy and he could of thrown in 600 bam no problem and the left side could but the right side would of gone in my armpit coz of the darn bone on right chest wall. Again 505 hp Sientra left and 385 hp Sientra right. Sizing little diff then Inspira so my 385 seemed close to my friend's inspira 415. So again moral of story we can't just pick cc instead we need show wish pic try sizers and let the expert Dr pick the implant. If I told him 500 both i would have one ugly one in armpit. And sizes can vary so u might be comparing apples to oranges with diff brands. Don't get obsessed with cc and profile but instead get a good surgeon! My advice! I want u all to get great boobs after all this! Lol My Dr didn't know what he would use until tried diff ones on operating table. Updated on 10 Nov 2016: My second post op after surgery. Surgery was Friday, post op 1 Sat. and today Thursday second post op. Dr took any stitches out today. Gave me belt to wear today for two weeks for 8-10 hours a day. He liked my playtex bra I posted about before and said I can wear that instead of one since surgery day. See my earlier post as this sports bra is def comfortable and goes down below incision. He told me to keep putting Neosporin on daily until Sunday then switch to aquaphor and continue gauze on incision. No square franken boob ever! Drove today first time 6 days post op to dr appt.... and was ok driving. I would say boob discomfort feels like boobs engorged filling with milk. No numbness. He said expect highly sensitive nipples in next few weeks and maybe a zinger here or there. Shower feels great. Other than the feeling like engorged boobs I have some back and neck pain from sleeping on back. First few days were tough moving around. Updated on 16 Nov 2016: He is at every appointment with you himself (not just nurse) and very talented most importantly, never makes you feel rushed and just awesome all around. Staff is equally fantastic! Some other drs don't show up for all appts and instead have nurse at preop. I love he does iv sedation vs general....could walk out of there without stumbling lol. Updated on 21 Nov 2016: Cold weather in tristate seems to have me tighten up and causing muscle spasms. Unless after two weeks post surgery spasms can start. I didn't have any first two weeks. I heard could get a zinger as drop and fluff but not sure if zinger is a sharp pain or spasm? Updated on 23 Nov 2016: My dr had me start wearing a band (over sports bra or surgical bra) for two weeks for 8-10 hours starting one week post op. He said day or night. I ended up switching to night for 3 reasons 1) don't have to deal with it daytime 2) some drs say holds it all together at night when your boobs would want shift to side as you sleep 3)helps with morning boob when I wear vans at night. Just idea for you ladies! I know some of u have to wear it 24/7 so this doesn't help. Updated on 23 Nov 2016: Two more days will be 3 weeks since surgery.....they look bigger now then week one. Week one was swelling but somehow the breast looked smaller. Morning boob is improving. The cold weather now during the day can affect the tensing up and tightening. Remind myself to relax the muscles! For First week or so felt like engorged boobs with milk, now feels like foreign objects in there most of the day. Any pain was first few days now just some discomfort. Can't wait for drop and fluff and feel like my own! Updated on 23 Nov 2016: First week or two couldn't get much sleep having to sleep on my back. I'm use to tossing and turning and sleeping combo on back and side. I'm finally sleeping ok on my back. Try diff pillows, diff positions and my bed was too hard causing back pain from staying in one position so I'm doing better sleeping on the softer sofa for now. TRY PILLOW UNDER KNEES to get pressure off back. You know if u ever went for massage and when on your back they sometimes put cylinder pillow under your legs so your back is more comfy. Same idea basically. Everyone needs find their own comfy solution....for me pillows under knees and head extra elevated. Good luck! Updated on 4 Dec 2016: Dr got rid of most of the restrictions after 4 weeks...can now lift more than 5lbs, can go back to exercise except no chest exercise. Still wear sports bra two more weeks, still put aquaphor on incision. Now that lifting restrictions done makes everyday life easier. It was a lot of pressure making sure I didn't lift anything around the house or store over 5lbs. Don't have to worry about it walking dog and having him pull me now. Dr said little swollen over right breast which is normal and ok for now. Updated on 11 Dec 2016: First two weeks felt like engorged with milk boobs then next two weeks felt like really fake strange boob feeling. Once surgeon did away with some restrictions and I was doing more like being able carry groceries and not worry about only lifting under 5 lbs they are feeling more normal! Not as fake and tight and uncomfortable. I can feel implant tho if squeezing something like I went to plug in extension cords outside for xmas lights and pushing hard had me feel the implants squeezing....that feels odd. Only real restriction now is no chest exercises and to wear sports bra. I couldn't image doing push-ups ouch!
Dear DNE,Botox can be used on several areas of the face and neck with great results. Several of these applications are "off label usage" of the product, but can be used very effectively by the right qualified practitioner. Botox can be used to treat forehead lines, the glabellar frown lines "11s", and the crows feet around the eyes. These are the common use areas for most neurotoxins. The other areas that may benefit from these treatments are the corners of the mouth and jowl region, the heavy bands in the center of the neck as well as the upper lip wrinkles. It is important that your doctor explain the risks and benefits of using neurotoxin in these specific areas and that they are experienced with the use of the product for those particular complaints.
