I am now 11 days post op from a lower body lift (after tummy tuck) and high volume lipo to saddlebags, inner knees and the pockets of fat above both knees. I had a full tummy tuck in March 2020 (literally the day before they shut down elective surgeries due to COVID.) My tummy tuck results are absolutely perfect and I'm still so impressed with how well my surgeon did. But. I wish I would have either done a whole lower body lift instead - or at least a circumferential tummy tuck, with the incision all the way around. It wasn't until I was completely recovered from the TT that I realized just how much extra skin I also had around my hips and above my butt (and on my butt as well, to be honest) Skin that hung to the sides of my waist when laying down. Skin that I still had to worry about 'tucking in' to my jeans. It was really discouraging to have such a perfect, tight stomach and not having a back side to match. So I used the same surgeon who did my TT in 2020 and my rhinoplasty in 2021 to do this surgery as well. He explained to me my best bet was a lower body lift since that would also lift up the back and sides of my thighs and my butt as well. I also decided on liposuction to my saddlebags, inner knees and top of knees. Pre op was a breeze. I went into surgery round 845am and woke up around 2pm. After waking up from anesthesia I remember trying to hold a conversation with my boyfriend in the recovery room and I could not keep my eyes open. It was so frustrating, and something that I did not have a problem with after my previous surgeries. I assume they gave me a higher dose of anesthesia this time for whatever reason. My surgeon visited me in the recovery room and pulled the blanket off my legs and I remember looking down and thinking "those aren't mine." I don't remember EVER seeing my legs look so thin (he told me he had removed a total of 5 liters of fat - that includes legs and the lower body lift) I went home and basically slept the rest of the day/night. On and off. For the first 5-6 days it was only a couple hours sleep at a time. The norco alleviated pain from my back incision but that lipo pain is unlike any other pain I've ever had. And I've had a jeep roll cage bar fall on my thigh. Lipo pain is worse. Here we are 11 days post op and I still find it hard to get up off the couch, walk, bend down, or sleep on my side. But even with all the swell hell I already see a huge difference in my legs AND whole back side so the pain is definitely worth it. Beauty is pain, right? That's all I can think of for now. I'm including pictures up to this point and plan on updating for a couple months to come. Updated on 17 Jan 2023: The tape that was covering my incision finally came off - just took a shower and have to wait for my compression garment to come out of the washer so thought I’d snap a few pics of the incision and a couple comparisons - because why not right?
Hello, so this is what my breast looked like before getting a Breast Reduction with Lift & the first day of Surgery! In these pictures I weighed around 145 pounds, and I wore a 36DD in a bra! I had my surgery on May 5th & todays date is June 10th. Updated on 12 Jun 2022: Hello, so in these pictures right here I weigh 130 pounds if you read my part one post you would see that prior to surgery when those pictures were took in which was actually back in 2021 and my surgery was in 2022 I weighed 145 pounds. These pictures show the rest of my recovery, after my recovery and a recent picture that I took around two days ago again today's date is June 10, 2022 and my surgery was May 5, 2022! I just wanted to post these because I don't see many people review the doctor I went to & he did an amazing job! I love my results & I'm happy with who I am now!
I broke my nose in 2006, and ever since then I've had this awful bump, the tip of my nose has become more bulbous and my septum had shifted, obviously. About 5 months after I broke it, I had a septoplasty with an ENT. Which turned out to be a complete waste of time because nothing had changed after that surgery. Ever since the break, my nose has been one of my biggest insecurities. Every picture taken of me I immediately zoom in on my nose and cringe. Finally I decided to take the plunge and get it fixed! I had my surgery yesterday morning and so far so good! The worst part so far was definitely when I came out of anesthesia - my nose was burning, my throat was SO sore and my head was pounding. But my surgeon says the surgery went great, he was able to shave off the bump, shave off some of the sides of my nose (I told him I wanted the sides brought in too, I didn't like how wide my nose is at the bridge) and he reduced my tip from 11mm to 7mm! Sleeping has been really uncomfortable only because I'm a side sleeper - and you have to sleep on your back with your head propped up for a couple weeks. And it's so uncomfortable for me. I can't taste ANYTHING which is also super annoying - because I'm starving but nothing sounds good. So just trying to stay hydrated at this point. Overall, recovery has been a lot easier and less painful than I was expecting! I'm SO GLAD I did this, and I can't wait to get this cast off (my surgeon wants it left in for 2 weeks!) Updated on 23 Aug 2021: Had my follow up appt today to remove the internal splints. Talk about instant relief! I have to go back in two days to get the stitches removed from my columella. Before I left my surgeon said “oh by the way. You have dissolvable stitches inside your nose. Once those start to dissolve you may smell something that resembles vomit. Don't panic - that's normal." Oh GREAT. Since surgery, I have been sleeping in our guest room - just because I’m a considerate girlfriend and I know that I won’t be getting much sleep, and didn’t wanna keep my boyfriend awake all night too. Sleeping with my head elevated is definitely uncomfortable - and painful. It’s making my neck hurt and in turn, it’s been triggering migraines. I asked my surgeon today how long I have to sleep with my head elevated and he said “as long as you feel it helps.” He said I don’t have to continue to do so anymore if it just triggers migraines, I just may have some more swelling. Also, my surgeon keeps the external cast on for two weeks. So that won’t be removed until next Thursday. I know usually it’s only kept on for 1 week, but this is just my surgeons preference I guess. So I’ll be returning to work on Wednesday (I’m a nurse) with my cast on, hopefully the bruising will be better. I don’t really have any pain, just some burning in my nose and pressure in my head at times. I think that’s all the updates I have for now! Updated on 3 Sep 2021: I got my cast off two days ago, and I’m loving the results already! My surgeon said since this is this, essentially, the third major trauma to my nose (when I broke it, and when I had a previous septoplasty right after) the swelling is going to be a little worse and probably going to take a little longer to go down. But honestly since my cast was left on for two weeks, I really think the swelling wasn’t as bad as it would’ve been had I gotten it off at the one week mark like most people do - because I was definitely expecting it to be worse! And I’ve already noticed a significant difference in just two days! So excited to watch the changes day by day! Updated on 19 May 2022: 9 months post op - and couldn’t be happier! My recovery has been issue-free - my surgeon is a genius.
On March 18 I had a full TT, muscle repair and lipo to flanks. He even removed my awful faded tattoo! I'm 9 weeks post op now, and even though I know these aren't my final results I am so impressed with what I'm seeing so far and have no regrets. I'm so glad I did it! It was definitely worth all the pain and money. I had a few minor set backs where the stitches tried to push through my incision in some spots. Not a big deal, my surgeon removed the stitches he could see coming out and I used medihoney on the wounds and kept them covered and they've healed rather quickly. I was given the green light to stop wearing my compression after week 4, although I still sometimes wear it for comfort. Also, can we talk about how awesome my belly button looks. I'm seriously obsessed with it. I had an appt with my surgeon this week and he said it's still a little swollen inside and will still go down a little :) *you'll notice in the photos my left leg is a little messed up. My surgeon also worked on that during this same surgery. I was in a car accident a long time ago that left me with some ugly scar tissue there that he's trying to fix. So far he's done a great job there too. Updated on 10 Jun 2020: A little over the 12 week mark. Still dealing with intermittent swelling, especially on my flanks. Although a couple times I have noticed on hot days if I’m outside doing yard work or something all day - by night time I’m so swollen I seriously look pregnant, it’s so uncomfortable. I’m a third shift nurse, being on my feet all night long I i expected the swelling to last a while. It’s still discouraging sometimes. So I do throw on old faithful (compression garment) from time to to time to make me feel better and combat some of that swelling. The incision is doing well, no issues. Still putting vitamin E on it daily. And the ends of my incisions haven’t fully smoothed out yet, but they’re getting there. I’m an avid tanner - so I lather a lot of sunblock across it when I tan to shield it from that. I have another follow up appt with my surgeon on the 22nd, but that’s more for my leg, not so much for the tummy tuck recovery. I could NOT be happier with how my stomach looks. Especially for only being 12 weeks post op. Updated on 20 Jun 2020: Just thought I would add a couple more recovery photos I’ve taken. I’m now 3 months post op and I still wake up every morning and look and my stomach and think “this can’t be really be me.” I wonder when that feeling will go away haha My stomach is still completely numb from my belly button down to the incision. Such a weird feeling, I can’t wait until I regain feeling there. My stomach is still super tight as well. I have my 3 month post op appt with my surgeon Monday morning. Updated on 17 Aug 2020: I’m at 5 month post-op now. Nothing much is different, still dealing with swell hell at the end of the day. Doctor will be removing my minor dog ears next month.
The duration of the Botox would be about the same. The dosage would mainly change how many areas could be treated.
