Incision Photos

The tape that was covering my incision finally came off - just took a shower and have to wait for my compression garment to come out of the washer so thought I’d snap a few pics of the incision and a couple comparisons - because why not right?

So worth it!

I am now 11 days post op from a lower body lift (after tummy tuck) and high volume lipo to saddlebags, inner knees and the pockets of fat above both knees.
I had a full tummy tuck in March 2020 (literally the day before they shut down elective surgeries due to COVID.) My tummy tuck results are absolutely perfect and I'm still so impressed with how well my surgeon did. But. I wish I would have either done a whole lower body lift instead - or at least a circumferential tummy tuck, with the incision all the way around. It wasn't until I was completely recovered from the TT that I realized just how much extra skin I also had around my hips and above my butt (and on my butt as well, to be honest) Skin that hung to the sides of my waist when laying down. Skin that I still had to worry about 'tucking in' to my jeans. It was really discouraging to have such a perfect, tight stomach and not having a back side to match. So I used the same surgeon who did my TT in 2020 and my rhinoplasty in 2021 to do this surgery as well. He explained to me my best bet was a lower body lift since that would also lift up the back and sides of my thighs and my butt as well. I also decided on liposuction to my saddlebags, inner knees and top of knees.
Pre op was a breeze. I went into surgery round 845am and woke up around 2pm. After waking up from anesthesia I remember trying to hold a conversation with my boyfriend in the recovery room and I could not keep my eyes open. It was so frustrating, and something that I did not have a problem with after my previous surgeries. I assume they gave me a higher dose of anesthesia this time for whatever reason. My surgeon visited me in the recovery room and pulled the blanket off my legs and I remember looking down and thinking "those aren't mine." I don't remember EVER seeing my legs look so thin (he told me he had removed a total of 5 liters of fat - that includes legs and the lower body lift)
I went home and basically slept the rest of the day/night. On and off. For the first 5-6 days it was only a couple hours sleep at a time. The norco alleviated pain from my back incision but that lipo pain is unlike any other pain I've ever had. And I've had a jeep roll cage bar fall on my thigh. Lipo pain is worse. Here we are 11 days post op and I still find it hard to get up off the couch, walk, bend down, or sleep on my side. But even with all the swell hell I already see a huge difference in my legs AND whole back side so the pain is definitely worth it. Beauty is pain, right?
That's all I can think of for now. I'm including pictures up to this point and plan on updating for a couple months to come.
