I had a TCA peel done about 10 years ago and I decided to have it done again because of the fine lines and wrinkles starting on my face and cheeks. I have seven days off of work. I thought I would share my experience here. Overall I would recommend it. It looks like it takes about a week of downtime. My doctor said he could go a little bit deeper but we decided to do a "lighter" TCA peel which I think just means he did fewer passes. It was a 30% solution.

Facts: -local anesthetic -pre measurement 1.6 Cm -8.5 millimeters removed -more swelling then normal due to extra numbing shots -insistent on the reduction did not want to do a revision -only ibuprofen for pain -skin lift only no muscle.. However stitched into the septum -dissolving and removable stitches in one week -will post pics by the weekend

I had been on the fence for 5 years researching and trying to find the right surgeon for me. After consulting with a few I chose Dr Adamson. I could not be more pleased. My consult was not rushed, he was very thorough and made me feel comfortable. I was mostly concerned about the scars I would have afterwards. Over the years my long lip was getting longer. I have wanted to do it for years but chose other things to do with my money. It was time so I went to my trustworthy plastic surgeon and asked his opinion. He said it was time so I decided to go ahead with it. I went to him about 6 years ago for an eye lift and every year I ask him if he thinks that I need anything...He tells me the truth...not yet..I totally trust his opinion. I have to wait a week and I can apply scarguard on my lip. He was happy with the mole removal on my cheek...I can see the scab is ready to fall off. The only thing I can say is my nose and lip are still swollen...and of course the bruise is there from the small shot he gave me of my own fat as an injection to fill in a circle under my eye!!!
