I have struggled with my weight since I was a child and it took a toll on my thighs and butt since that is where I carry my weight. I have finally found a lifestyle that has helped me achieve my fitness and weight loss goals but I can’t fix the saggy skin without surgery. I am scheduled for surgery September 19, 2018. I am a bit nervous about the pain, outcome and anesthesia but also excited too. I have appreciated the reviews and hope maybe my journey will help others too. Updated on 22 Sep 2018: I am feeling pretty good just mainly burning from the stretching of the skin. I can’t wait for the tightness and swelling go down a bit. Sorry I’m still figuring out this site so if I’m not posting correctly please let me know. Updated on 24 Sep 2018: Getting staples out today. Kind of had a little mental breakdown due to the severe back pain and burning and stretching of skin. I think I should have bought better tools to assist in my recovery such as a firmer bed, more pillows, and a higher toilet. Definitely assumed I’d be back to normal quicker. I’m a bit impatient.will post new pics later. Thanks for letting me have a pity party Updated on 27 Sep 2018: Went to my appointment today and my ps said it looks like I am in the early stages of cellulitis. It is so hard and painful on my inside thighs and my left upper back. I am on antibiotics so hopefully that kills the infection. I am a bit scared as I can barely lift my leg without it feeling like I am ripping Updated on 30 Sep 2018: My infection seems to be getting better and I am becoming more mobile. Hopefully turning a corner. I have been using the go girl to pee which has helped immensely. Can’t wait to see the results once the swelling goes down. I don’t think I truly realized the recovery time and pain and possible hiccups that come with a big surgery since I’ve never had surgery. Updated on 1 Oct 2018: Here are some Day 12 pics. Hopefully I get my butt back. Updated on 17 Oct 2018: I am feeling more mobile and have returned to work. Still some tightness around the incisions and still a bit sore but honestly really happy how well things are going. Updated on 19 Oct 2018: This is my week 4 comparison. Love watching the changes. Hoping they keep improving. Anxious to get back to exercising, hopefully soon. Just started walking 2 miles but notice the area where my incisions are it really tightens up. Updated on 6 Dec 2018: I feel so blessed to have been able to have surgery. I feel it has helped me become the best version of myself. I still have flaws...my legs aren’t perfect or even close but they are so so much better. The scars are fading and the tightness is almost gone. I love my boobs, and I’m learning to love my butt and my legs. I am back exercising 5-6 days a week. I may even become a Jazzercise instructor. Who knew?! I also went from a size 4 to a size 2 and now weigh 115.8. I love Dr. Longo! I would recommend him and if I ever have any other surgeries I would go to him again in a second.

I went to my pre-op appt today not what I thought it would be, it was pretty simple just paperwork, paying for procedure, the do's and dont's or pre and post surgery, signing papers and then off to lab for blood work. Yes, you most certainly can do fillers while having a facelift. If you need anymore information make sure to see a Board Certified Surgeon.
