I have struggled with my weight since I was a child and it took a toll on my thighs and butt since that is where I carry my weight. I have finally found a lifestyle that has helped me achieve my fitness and weight loss goals but I can’t fix the saggy skin without surgery. I am scheduled for surgery September 19, 2018. I am a bit nervous about the pain, outcome and anesthesia but also excited too. I have appreciated the reviews and hope maybe my journey will help others too.

My surgery went well. Took a bit longer than anticipated, 10 hours but the outcome looks pretty good. I’m a bit swollen still and my skin on my flankplasty is really tight. My doctor says that is normal. They took out 2.8. Pounds of skin and 2.5 pounds of fat from lipo.

I am feeling pretty good just mainly burning from the stretching of the skin. I can’t wait for the tightness and swelling go down a bit. Sorry I’m still figuring out this site so if I’m not posting correctly please let me know.

Day 5

Getting staples out today. Kind of had a little mental breakdown due to the severe back pain and burning and stretching of skin. I think I should have bought better tools to assist in my recovery such as a firmer bed, more pillows, and a higher toilet. Definitely assumed I’d be back to normal quicker. I’m a bit impatient.will post new pics later. Thanks for letting me have a pity party

after such a big surgery you deserve a melt down & more! Pain makes everything much worse, we're all cheering you on. My PS isn't using staples, I'm sure the pain from that alone took it's toll when getting them out. Rest, take some pain pills and get some sleep...good luck girl!

Hi, I have been on my body tightening journey for many years now after a 130 lb weight loose.
Had arm lift (but now my lower arms are really sagging) tummy tuck, lower body lift(a waste of money if you ask me because it didn't tighten anything except my belly anyways) and a face lift.
Friday I got my legs tightened from thigh to almost ankle, breast lift with some fat transfer, a Brazilian butt lift by fat transfer and a thread lift to help with the lower face which has sagged again over time. I can relate to the burning. Mine is where the stitches are in my legs and the swelling around them pushing against them. Also the donor fat sites hurt. It's hard to sleep because I can't lay in any position. I bought a bunch of those big foam blocks you use for washing cars, two life savers for pools so I can sit on them, and lots of pillows. Remember to move slowly getting out of bed. I can remember getting stuck half way up from such extreme pain. Hang in there! Drink lots of water and eat protein. Ask any questions you need. I am here for you.

Hi, congratulations on such a big weight loss! I appreciate that you shared your operations and experiences. It helps very much. I think I have probably done some tearing on my left side because of how I get out of bed. It burns very bad. I think I am going to try and sleep in the recliner.
I do have a question about fluid retention. On surgery day I weighed 118 and post surgery day I weigh 125. I did get a breast augmentation 250 ccs but i had 6 pounds almost of fat and skin removal. Is this weight gain something you experienced too?

Hope you're feeling better after the staple removal the other day. Are you sleeping any better with them gone? I swelled a lot after tummy tuck & breast reduction so your weight will go up and down with the water weight from swelling but don't worry about that now it'll all be gone before you know it and you'll be looking fine in no time! Stay strong.

I am feeling a bit better each day. I just can’t wait for the tightening feeling of my skin to go away. It is so restrictive. Like I have to stand to go the bathroom lol. Thanks for the info about the weight gain. I am feeling a bit more optimistic. I keep telling myself just to give it time. I didn’t gain or lose the weigh overnight so I need to remember this takes time too.

From your pictures, you're already looking great! And it's only been a week can you imagine in a mth or 2!! Remember it will only get better from here, with of course those dreaded ups and downs...there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Thank you for starting your journey with the community. Wishing you the best of luck on your surgery today!
