I am extremely pleased with my decision in choosing Dr. Farahmand for my mommy makeover (Breast lift & augmentation, tummy tuck with muscle repair) From the very first time I ever stepped into the beautiful & clean facility, I felt so welcome. Dr. Farrahmand & her staff have always been so kind & honest with me. I have always felt very comfortable during every visit & especially on my surgery day. Backstory: I was a D when pregnant weighing 176 lbs (usually 120lbs) then after pregnancy I was actually a semi full D for awhile bc of having some weight on & birth control pill. But then I started working out & eating healthier plus stopped the pill, lost 15 lbs & also lost my boobs in the process. I was a deflated B before surgery. My upper tummy had some nice abs starting but my lower stomach was loose saggy stretch marked skin & my belly button was sooooo deformed. Now: My tummy is flat, my belly button looks normal again, & the incision scars are barely noticeable!!!!! To any ladies on the fence about getting the gals done or getting mommy makeover. DO IT NOW! Life is too short to be unhappy! My confidence has sky rocketed! Thank Dr. Farahmand & staff for making me the happiest I’ve ever been with my body. I highly recommend!!!!
My experience with Dr Farahmand was exceptional. I saw a few other surgeons prior for consults and once I met with her I felt very comfortable. She had years of experience with her knowledgeable staff. I’m 46 years old and had two abdominal surgeries. 1 C sectiona and 1 other abdominal surgery that left a vertical scar on my lower abdomin. The plan was to do a full tummy tuck to get rid of that awful scar and also moderate plus profile implants to fill myself out. I went from a flat B to a full C with 220cc. I couldn’t be more happy with my results. If you’re on the fence I would highly recommend this procedure and highly recommend Dr Farahmand.
I knew I would make an improvement as my neck laxity started to bother me. I had great experience with Dr.Farahmand in the past so the consult on what we could do to improve was a natural choice. If something bothers you, while fear can certainly be something to overcome, do it for yourself. You read so many reviews that say I wish I did it sooner. I wish everyone good health and beauty inside and out. First few days I did have discomfort, lots of swelling ( still only day 6) as expected. Compression garment keep in as much as possible, sleep upright and lots of water/fluids. Im scheduled to have staples out in 2 days, sleeping will certainly improve. Jaw is super tight along with under neck area. Bruising minimal right now. Tip buy a baby size tooth brush, my mouth could barely open. Lol Updated on 3 Dec 2022: Everything is healing well. Once staples came out, so much better. Numbness is still in the cheek and under neck. Tightness has lessened but still feel like a wrap is around jaw. I think some fat was put on my temple area, I will confirm it feels tight/ lumpy but you can’t see the lumps only by touch. Sleeping is better but staying on back is better, side sleep causes lines on the swollen areas. Can anyone share how long their numbness lasted? I know everyone is different just curious. Happy healing to all Updated on 20 Dec 2022: Still some tightness and numb in some areas, but neck looking good. The rest will continue to improve as swelling settles down. Had 1 month Dr. visit she said everything looked as it should. Numbness can take several months depending on the patient. Still taking it easy lots of rest when I can. Wishing everyone happy healthy holiday season. May 2023 bring all wonderful things. Updated on 26 Jan 2023: Feeling good. Still numb is areas ( normal) using my wrap at night it feels good to wear it. A sore spot on temple Dr said that will go away.. Getting brows done in 2 weeks to finish up. Sleeping on back still feels the best. Overall pleased with procedure and healing. Happy faces everyone
I’ve been waiting 3 years to have my breast augmentation surgery. After meeting with 3 separate surgeons in my area I decided without a doubt to go with Dr. Farahmand for my breast augmentation surgery. So far I have zero complaints! She is professional and caring. She has been attentive to all of my questions. Personally emailing me to address my questions, using FaceTime to meet with me virtually, and now we have met in person for my pre op appointment. I brought my goal photos with me and I was given ample time to go through the sizers to find my max size for projection. I’d like to remain natural looking but with more overall fullness to my breast (but not too much at the top, more side boob than anything lol). I’m a bit curvy already but my torso is a bit wide so I really want my breast to give me more of an hourglass look. We decided to not go over 420cc but to ultimately use my goal picture as a final factor for the outcome of my look. I’m currently a 34B cup and desire to be a small to medium D cup. For reference I’m 5’3” and weight 126lbs. I added photos that I took of me wearing 400cc sizers that I tried on in office. My surgery date is less than a week away and I am SO ready for this!!! Hope this helps someone out! More to come! Updated on 6 Aug 2021: I just wanted to give you all a better idea of the look that I was after. I’m currently a small 34b and asked to be around this size and projection. I looooved how I looked with the 400cc sizers but I agreed to going no larger than 420cc if needed. Just a few days left before my surgery and I’m so excited! Updated on 10 Aug 2021: Tomorrow is the big day! My surgery is schedule for 1:30 p.m and I think I’m more concerned about not being able to eat or drink all day than I am for the actual surgery lol. I still don’t know the exact size my implants will be since I’m getting saline filled ones. I’m hoping that I don’t have to go too big to get the look I desire but I told my surgeon that I’m comfortable with going up to 420cc if need be. I really like how I look with the 400cc sizers but I know that 20cc more isn’t much of a difference so I’ll trust her opinion. Right now I’m wearing a 34B (no padding or underwire) and I hope to fill out a 34D afterwards. I’m so excited!! I’ll post pictures after surgery. Wish me luck! Updated on 11 Aug 2021: HOORAY!! I officially have big boobs!! Yesterday was my surgery day. My appointment was originally scheduled for 1:30 but they called and asked me if they could move it to 2:00 because they were running behind. I agreed and got there around 1:50 and sat in the car until my RN came and brought me inside around 2:30. At that point she did all my vitals and hooked me up to an IV and left me to rest in a private waiting room area. I sat there until 4:30 when the anesthesiologist came in and gave me the run down and then a few minutes later Dr. Farahmand came in and went over everything once again with me and marked me up. The CNA took me back to the operating room and everyone who I met with earlier was in there helping me get situated on the operating table. They put the mask over my mouth and told me to breathe in twice and that’s all I remember. I woke up around 7 ( I was told I’d be asleep in recovery for an hour) so idk how long my surgery actually took. I did not feel pressured on my chest like everyone seems to experience. Instead it was my side boobs that were in pain. I remember all I could say at first was “pain in my side” the nurse and the CNA and the anesthesiologist were in the recovery room with me helping me wake up and dress. I burned a few times and then started dry heaving a couple of times from the anesthesia. After that I was fine just in pain and verrrryyyyy drowsy. I remember barely keeping my eyes open and they were helping me into my husbands car. Once I got home I was fine just drowsy still. I had my pain medicine and nausea medicine right before I left the recovery room so I was basically a zombie the rest of the night. I was able to munch on a cracker or two but wasn’t very hungry. Today when I woke up I felt much better. The anesthesia seems to be out of my system now, thank god. I have pressure on my chest today but not anything intense which I’m surprised about. My side boobs still hurt though and my nipples don’t have much of a sensation right now. My chest just feels tight. (If you workout at all just imagine how you feel a day or two after doing a very intense chest workout). But otherwise I’m basically back to my normal self and have a full appetite. I still need help sitting up, pulling my pants down to pee, and opening most things. It’s hard for me to rely on anyone to help me do simple tasks but I know I have no other choice lol. I just met with my doctor again for my post op appointment and she said they ended up putting in 350cc high profile smooth round saline implants in me and this has taken me from a small 34B to a very swollen 36D. Overall I’m happy with the results even though I have frankinboobs right now lol. I’ll try to remember to update my progress as often as possible. If you have any other questions feel free to comment below! Updated on 17 Aug 2021: My new girls are slowly taking shape and I have less swelling and squareness on top compared to a few days ago. Woo hoo!! The past few days I’ve been in very little pain throughout the day, but wake up in the middle of the night in extreme discomfort and covered in sweat (TMI sorry.) I haven’t felt the need to take any pain meds in the past 2 days besides when I wake up in the middle of the night. I just keep applying ice and lavender essential oil to my chest which seems to be helping a lot. My skin is just SO TIGHT. My side boob area continues to be my problem area where I experience the most discomfort. My doctor says I’m healing well and does not want me to begin my chest massages until I’m a month out which sucks but oh well. I’m so happy with how quickly I’m recovering and can’t freaking wait until I can sleep on my side lol. Updated on 17 Aug 2021: Today marks a week since I got my breast augmentation and I feel great! I have almost a full range of motion back in my arms, and no more pain! I plan on going back to work tomorrow. I’m off my pain meds and barely use an ice pack. The only time I really feel discomfort is right when I wake up. My right breast feels almost normal (just a tad heavy) but my left breast is still stiff all around and bugging me. I’m hoping this changes VERY soon because like any recent post op patient i’m beginning to worry. I know I strained my left breast muscle a few days ago by sitting up way to quickly (I used my left elbow to prop myself up without thinking SMH). This is something I will make my doctor aware of tomorrow at my appointment. Another thing is my breast look so pointy and cone-like, which I know is a normal part of the process until they “drop and fluff” but it’s still discouraging. My husband ships out for basic training in 27 days and I just really want them to look appealing before he leaves lol. I think I will go sports bra shopping today to raise my spirits. I know this compression bra is not doing it for either of us lol. Here’s some recent photos of the girls.
After having 3 kids, (14, 4, and 2), my dream of getting a breast augmentation changed to a mommy makeover, especially having large babies. I was never a large person, 5'6" comfortable weight at 145-150, 38-B (barely). At my heaviest 4 months ago, I was 184 lbs and lost 30 lbs knowing I was getting a mommy makeover. I chose Dr. Farahmand based on several of my physicians recommendations, if her professional peers chose her out of everyone, then she's perfect for me. I knew I made the right decision after my virtual consultation. She was so professional, knowledgeable, friendly, patient and most of all I could tell she genuinely cared about her work and her patience. She was very responsive to my emails and her staff to my calls! My procedure was 3 days ago (1/5/21) and she far exceeded my expectations. Even through all the swelling and bruising, I can tell her work is going to be phenomenal. Best decision I've ever made! Highly recommend Dr, Farahmand!
I was looking for a doctor and implants that fit my dream pics. It took me a while to find the right doctor but Dr. Audrey Farahmand was warm and very informative and professional! She made me feel confident about what size implants and shape for my body. She helped me find a very safe implant which was an important goal in my journey. The cost was very affordable and I'm happy with the staff who took very good care of me as well. I'm still healing on week 2 but I'm so pleased! Updated on 2 Apr 2020: Stay tuned for more updates on my boobies. They have healed nicely and I totally love them! 415cc
I have wanted a BR since I was a teenager. I never thought it was something I could afford. However, now being in my 40's and being in pain every day with no relief from meds, massages, adjustments, etc., I couldn't afford not to. I researched for over a year. Consulted with 4 surgeons in my area over during that time, and excitedly made my appointment with Dr. Farahmand in June. I could not be happier with my choice of surgeons, results, and recovery. I am a few days shy of 6 weeks post op, when I will be able to resume all activities. I had a lot of breast tissue removed. I don't know my true bra size, but would wear 38DDD or 36E bras and still hang out. I'm only 5'3"! To say I was unproportioned is an understatement. I asked Dr. Farahmand to take me down to a C or D cup. In her wisdom, she also asked me to bring her a photo, since bra sizes can vary so much. Again, being the amazing surgeon that she is, she told me she could not guarantee to get me that small, because she'd have to ensure that she wasn't taking too much and risking me losing blood flow to my nipple. She was, however, able to take out 3lbs/1.36kg! And my nipple sensation is coming back! I had one surgeon tell me he could make me flat if I wanted, never mentioning any risk to my nipples. Run, if some surgeon tells you nonsense like that. Dr. Farahmand and her nurses always even from the first free consult spent as much time as I needed to have questions answered and to give me a full picture of what was happening and going to happen! I was even able to see the pre-op, surgical, and recovery rooms during my initial consult. The office just went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. As far as pain, which many nay-sayers (none of whom had had a BR) warned would make it not worth it, it has never been unbearable. The worst pain (and of course this varies widely by person) was my throat from the tube when I first woke up and the car ride home. Because my throat hurt so bad, I didn't eat anything, and thus, couldn't take my pain meds before the car ride home. I would not recommend that! ha! I felt every pebble in the road! I did have drains, which not every one has, but considering how much was taken out, I did. They were not particularly comfortable, but I also did not have the rock-hard pain that many women experience afterward. The second most painful thing was having the drains removed, but that was over in a second. I took my prescription pain meds for about 3 days, and then was able to switch to Tylenol. Weeks 2 and 3, I was just sore and tired out easily. The soreness was like when you are nursing and the baby has skipped a meal or 2 and you are extra full, or for those who have never breast fed, it's like after a really hard work out. By week 4, I would just have occasional soreness, usually at the end of the day when I was tired or itching. It's pretty common to have a sharp pain here and there; I've had some of that, but not much. I really have had about the smoothest recovery one could ask for. My primary nurse says it's because I'm such a good patient (yeah, me!) and followed all the rules, but I have been very well taken care of. If you can't tell, I love my surgeon and nurses! Incisions! I had the typical anchor procedure. Another thing that I was super pleased with was my surgeon started the underneath incision low enough that even if my scars are bad (which I doubt), I can still wear a low-cut top without them being seen. Every doctor has a different protocol, based on my consults with other surgeons, Dr. Farahmand is very conservative, and I liked that. I had appoints the day after, 3 days after, a week after, and then once a week until week 4, to change and check my incisions. I have had zero problems. All of my neck pain is not gone. I am after all 43, and have had this extra weight pulling on my neck for over 20 years! However, it is so much better, and I think a good chiro adjustment will help. Bra straps do not dig into my shoulders. In fact, when my nurses put my surgical bra on after the surgery, I thought it didn't fit properly because the straps were not digging into me! This is a wonderful new normal to get used to! I'm very much looking forward to exercising without 2 or 3 sports bras. My bras now contain all of me. No bulging over the top. It's just makes me feel so much better and more confident to not feel like I am unporportioned or looking weird in my clothes because my breasts are bulging out in weird places. I did not take any naked before or after photos (doctor did), but I'm going to attach a before and after in the same dress. This was taken at 4 weeks post op. The only con I can think of is the cost. My insurance would not cover it (and most of the surgeons in my area won't even take/work with insurance). For me, it was expensive, but I'm glad I did it. I think it will pay off in quality of life. As a lot of happy BR patients say, my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.
18 yrs. ago I interviewed 3 doctors for a neck lift. One had suggested I have my eyes done as well. I knew I wanted to do this but let my fear make my decision. In April of this year, I met a woman who had the exact procedures I needed. It was 3 weeks post op and she looked great. When she showed me her before picture, I was sold. I asked the name of her doctor and called for an appointment. I met the doctor April 20th and June 20th had my surgery. Next week, Thursday, staples, and stitches will be removed. I can already see the huge improvement in my neck. My eyes are purple and swollen but I know that will get better. My doctor also removed fat from my stomach to fill in the marionette lines and nasal lines on my face. Today is day 3 and I am quite swollen. Tomorrow, I plan to shower and wash my hair. I have been eating all soft foods without a problem other than not being able to open my mouth very wide. I want to fast forward a month to see how I will look and feel. I guess I just need to be patient. I will post another picture after my next doctor visit which will be one week after surgery. Updated on 5 Jul 2019: 15 days post op, no makeup yet. Still a little swollen and numb on the sides of my face, but planning an outing for Monday and will add pictures then. I still have some scabbing which I hope is gone by then. I visit the doctor again on July 17. Updated on 18 Jul 2019: I put some makeup on and went to get a mani-pedi today. I use the same nail tech all the time. She looked at me and said you really look good today. You look younger! I said, really? She said yes, did you have something done. She really did not remark about my neck but believe me, the difference is huge. That was my main motivation. Updated on 18 Jul 2019: I had to make another post for the pictures. I am so happy I had this done. I did want to lose some weight before hand but had no motivation. Maybe, this will help. They say it is best to lose it first but I don't think it would cause too much sagging. Updated on 19 Jul 2019: @jc49: I just wanted to show you what I am talking about. I took a few more pictures just now where it is more apparent. The doctor wants me to wear the wrap when I am home. I usually wear it 6-8 hours a day. Updated on 5 Aug 2019: Six weeks later, starting to feel more like my younger self. I still have some numbness on my checks and around my ears. I still have a little slack under my chin which I will discuss again with the doctor when I see her , probably in November. Maybe by then it will be tighter.
I have been wanting a mommy makeover for 22 years, I have three AMAZING adult children, I have had a lot of ups and downs with my weight over the years, I had decided when I was 44 that I was going to do this for myself at age 45: I worked out at the gym and eating a healthy lifestyle I had lost 55 pounds and kept it off for over a year, I am 5’4 168 lbs, I had surgery June 14th 2018 my plastic surgeon was Audrey Farahmand in Ft Myers FL, she and her staff are amazing. Dr Farahmand gave me the results I was looking for. So so so happy with my results Updated on 22 Jun 2018: 1wk post Op. Got the right drain removed today. Boy did I feel better. It was causing me a lot of discomfort in the upper right side of my abdomen. Before and after photos Updated on 9 Jul 2018: After three weeks I can stand up straight. Still have a little discomfort on the abdomen but occasional Tylenol helps. My abdomen is still a little swollen. I had Lipo of the flanks and they are still tender and a little bumpy but my ps said to message the area gently in a hot shower. Since doing that the bumps post Lipo are decreasing. The breast augmentation looks great . I have very little discomfort once in a while muscle spasms but that is when I am doing dishes or laundry. My second drain was removed on June 29th. I am sleeping through the night. I still get tired easily mostly at around 6pm. Usually after a day of doing 2 small loads of laundry and making breakfast lunch and dinner. I do sit down in between. At 6pm I am ready to do nothing but sit. I still ware my binder and sleep in my recovery bra at night . Prior to surgery, I am in the medical field and have a very physical job that I walk between 3 to 4 mile a day according to my Fitbit. I was also at the gym 3 to 4 time a week lifting weights and doing 30 min of cardio after work. Soooo I said all of that to say this ...... the inactivity is hard. I want to go to the gym and walk but I can’t get my heArt rate up or do purposeful exercise per ps until 6 weeks post op. That is messing with my emotions. I only took 6 weeks off work and I wanted at least a week to get my stamina back... so I am Alitalia worried about that. I see my ps for a 4 wk f/u on July 11. Hope she will let me do some exercise. So a week ago I decided to wear my Fitbit and gradually increase my steps. I am between about 2k to 4K a day. Just around the house or shopping. That has helped me mentally. Updated on 19 Jul 2018: Went for a 4.5 mi walk yesterday and wore this binder off amazon . I was great. It was 29$. Wore it over my tank top, cuz It’s a little stiff and itchy with out it. Will go perfect under my scrubs. I have 10days to go before I go back to work and I will ware my support garment and then binder over the garment. I am going for a walk tomorrow too, not sure how far I will get just going until my body says enough. I only took 7 weeks off for the mommy makeover. Any one in health care who is on their feet for long periods of time I would recommend 10 to 12 weeks if you can if not I believe the 7 is the minimum in my opinion. Before surgery I was in the Gym and was physically fit. The walk did my mental faculty good. While I was physically fit, mentally it has been hard to sit legs get flabby and my stamina is sooooo low. But this week is looking up. I am so thankful for a great family support system that has encouraged me mentally while spoiling me and taking great care of me.
I am Nervous but excited in so many ways. I forgot to stop birth control exactly at 2 weeks but I stopped 12 days in. Scheduled may 15. I think I have everything tat I need. I have moved recliner into my bedroom and scripts are filled. My surgeon doesn’t use Faja. Binder only. So that’s interesting but doctor knows best. She sends you home with walker and compression machine for our legs. I thought that was awesome. Updated on 21 May 2018: Updated on 21 May 2018: So I had one drain removed today. So let’s just say it doesn’t tickle. Advice take a pain pill Before going in for appointment Updated on 27 May 2018: So I’m pretty swollen still not sure what outcome will be. For some reason mbutlooks like it dropped maybe from Lipo of flanks Updated on 30 May 2018: Do you guys think it looks ok. I love my belly button. My hopes are goes down swelling. I had. A mental breakdown on day 3 like I can do it was pretty painful. But made it through no going back now. Scar pretty good too! No more hang time. Appetite is not the best but eating post of fruits and veggies Updated on 1 Jun 2018: I’m so excited because I can start to see shape I was getting worried a bit because I was so swollen. I started dry brushing my skin I help since doctor said I have to wait 6 weeks for lymphatic massage. It really helped. Updated on 1 Jun 2018: First full day for my garment. Swell he’ll. Day 15. If you move around a lot during the Day swells pretty bad. I am in and out of car all day so this is why it was pretty bad swelling today. I see light at end of tunnel though. Updated on 7 Jun 2018: I can start using scar away. No lymphatic massages yet still 2 weeks away. Can’t wait still have lots of swelling Updated on 10 Jun 2018: So it’s getting flatter day by day. I’m So happy I did ‘this. My stomach is flattest in morning bye end of day swollen. Just trying to figure out a pattern. Updated on 17 Jun 2018: Updated on 26 Jun 2018: Worked out this week Been swollen since Updated on 16 Jul 2018: So I’m feeling almost 75% back to normal. Still some Swelling by end of day but I can definitely see huge difference
I definitely think you would have better results with a full tummy tuck since trying to limit the length of the scar via a mini-tt on you would most probably leave you with large "dog ears" (protrusions of skin) at the ends of the incision or significant "pleating" from trying to gather the horizontal excess centrally. The good news is most women can hide their full abdominoplasty scar in a bikini or panties. Hope that helped,
First you should see your plastic surgeon for an examination. It is unclear from the photo if the swelling at the top of the right breast is the implant or a collection of fluid or blood. An ultrasound would answer this question. If the ultrasound is negative for fluid or blood, you can ask your surgeon if he/she used sutures to tack the muscle edge. Sometimes surgeons tack the muscle edge with sutures to hold it out to length while it heals to the breast tissue in front of it when they change the plane of the implant. If he/she did, and they are absorbable, this can resolve once the sutures dissolve in a few months.
You should not have liposuction while taking coumadin. You should wait until you are discontinued from coumadin and have normal coagulation levels. Then have your surgeon perform a DVT risk assessment before proceeding. Dr. Audrey Farahmand
Your photos show alot of post-operative swelling which can take a few more weeks to subside. While it is too early for you to " worry", it is also very common to "worry" during your second week post-op. My prediction is in one more week you will be looking better and you will be in better spirits. Hang in there you will be fine! Dr. Audrey Farahmand
