My 17 year old son had his braces removed in March 2022. He has what looks like a lot of plaque build up. The dentist today wants to put 6 crowns in the front top d/t decay. Is there another option? We tried a filling in one but it came out two months later.
She broke half her front permanent tooth off in the second grade at school. They tried a cap, but the tooth ended up needing a root canal within a few months of the trauma. She has had a resin filling over the tooth since then, but her teeth have grown and the tooth is much shorter than her others. She is nearly 16 and her pediatrician says she is finished growing, so we were thinking it would be a good time to get a crown done. Is this the best route? How long does the resin typically last?
My 9 year old has a baby tooth that has a cap on it, and the tooth itself has come completely out. The problem is the silver cap over it is cemented to her front gums, not allowing the tooth to come out of her mouth. It is causing a lot of pain. Is there something i can get that will remove the cement to safely remove the tooth? Or is there a safe way to remove the tooth without having to take her in to the dentist?
My 8 year old grandson had caps put on his baby molars. Now the first of the baby molars has become loose and the cap is loose, as well. If the cap comes off before the baby tooth comes out, is it a big deal or can we just let the cap come off and the tooth come out on its own when it is ready.
I am a 15 y/o healthy female. I don't drink pop at all or any other sugary drink beside orange juice which I only drink about once every 2 weeks. I brush my teeth 2 times a day, once in the morning and once before bed. I floss a few times a week but not every day. I go to the dentist every 6 months and usually every second time I will have a cavity. I always go and get them fixed. I don't know why this happens to me. My brother or my parents have never had a cavity in their lives.
I have half a fake tooth for one of my two front teeth. I looked into braces/Invisalign. I wasn't interested in any of that. I just want my gap fixed. Is there any way I would be able to do crowns or Veneers. I am 17 and don't want braces as an adult.
