Both would be performed by an aesthetician. I would like to do a fractional CO2 laser for acne scars. I received a quote from a plastic surgeon's office for $950. I have also found a highly rated Medspa for the promo price of $165. I would think the Plastic Surgeon's office would be better, but it would be done by an aesthetician anyway and not the Doctor. The Medspa procedure would be done by the owner who has over 15+ years of experience. Also, how important is it to take antibiotics following this procedure?
I have an appointment Monday for CO2 laser for my face to help with scarring. I have already driven a long way for this appointment. I just started having really bad UTI symptoms a few hours ago and I am not sure if it is okay to take antibiotics before the procedure. I ran to the store to grab some analgesic which I just took and also grabbed an antibacterial (methenamine). Am I able to take antiobiotics or at least the antibacterial?
I am 50 yer old Asian man and got the CO2 ultrapulse laser treatment for acne scars on 18 December. The nurse said I should take Doxylin 50mg twice a day for 7 days. But the density seemed much stronger than my previous treatments and there were huge deep scabs on some parts of my face, particularly under my mouth. I continued to take this tablet until day 14. I stopped taking it at that night. I found a couple of big whiteheads under my mouth next morning. Can I continue this tablets?
I find some articles that it's best not to let scab to form. I tend to get scars if there're scabs formed though the scabs would fall off naturally which normally happen during shower time. Should I apply Vaseline straight after 3 days post CO2 laser? or the antibiotic cream? I am prescribed Mupicor Ointment with 2% Mupirocin. Should I cover the wound until it's completely healed? & if there's any scab formed, until the scab falls off? The CO2 laser is for flat nevus removal.
11 days post op co2 ablation for severe Rhinophyma. Topical antibacterial ointment for 10 days. Oral antibiotics for 7 days. Washing with cetraphil twice daily. Using Vaseline when needed. No itching . Minimal swelling. Some bruising evident. Crust came off day 9.
I received a laser treatment on Monday the 23rd. Every thing went well. I was under anesthesia so I didn't feel a thing. I was ready to go and start my home care and specific medications. But one thing seemed strange, fluconazol, the amount seemed off. What, if any, is the dose of fluconazol to prevent a fungal skin infection from the environment created by the wound and the antibiotics?
