I have always hated my profile, always felt insecure about it. I got the bump in my nose shaven down in 8th grade but am still not happy with my profile. I was told I had a weak chin so I made an appointment with a local surgeon who told me a high percentage of chin implants actually fail and reject is the term he used which scared me. I would like the skin under my chin pulled up somehow for a more defined jaw line. My chin tends to look large head on when I smile, yet weak from the side?
My surgeon is even puzzled about this... Why is my body keep on rejecting chin implant? 1st implant done in March 28 2018. Removed in April 30 after the implant became exposed. Re-implanted in August 18 then removed again in September 28 after it tried to get out of my chin. This time my surgeon mentioned that he anchored it to avoid movement. However, just last night, I noticed a lump under my chin as if the implant is again trying to escape. Why is that and what do I do since this procedure really improved my appearance?
I had a rhinoplasty with chin implant augmentation because it was suggested by the surgeon to improve my profile, a few days later I noticed i could see something transparent at the left side of the incision I was afraid it could be the implant I talked to the doctor about this and he says that effectively its the implant showing, he said i should wait till friday (5 more days), and if its not healed He'll take it off. he said I might be rejecting the implant, help please.
Hello! I had an chin implant placed five weeks ago. (incision placed under the chin) For about 1 week ago i had a cold, since then i had a lot of problems. Last week i had to go to emergency, they think this was an allergic reaction?! One week has passed now and my lips are still very swollen, pale and small... Can someone tell me whats going on? Is my body rejecting this silicone implant?
Although are medpore better? i heard that they do scare tissues. I have butt implants rejection 4 months ago, is it likely to happend with silicone jaw implants? I've had a geniplasty 3 years ago, silicone too, but nothing happend it's still there and am happy with the results. I would prefer to get silicone implants for my jaw but am scared of possible reaction of my body and later issues
Hello, I had a rhinoplasty and a chin implant procedure in 1999. I had to have the chin implant removed three weeks post-op due to rejection. It's obviously been several years now, and I would still like to do something about my "weak" chin. I'm not sure what type of material was used for that procedure, but I'm curious if different implant options are now available, or if a surgeon would even recommend trying it again since I rejected an implant the first time around. Thank you.
I am very interested in getting a chin implant but my only worry is that my body will reject it at some point in my life if not right away. My body both and immune system and highly sensitive. What would you say my risk of having my body reject a chin implant is? Thank You
