Hello. I have been searching for reputable surgeons on the west coast that perform genioplasty surgery; however, I haven't had much luck. It seems like my only option is a chin implant unless I am willing to travel. Why exactly are chin implants offered so much more than genioplasty? Thanks!
Good evening Doctors. Chin augmentation w/ fillers 6 weeks ago. Loved result - Read online chinplant will be better, both structurally and cost-effective - Some PS here in Northern Ireland say they no longer offer chinplants because they can move etc. - Seems the only option is the Republic of Ireland - Can someone explain pros/cons of each? I really feel I'd prefer an implant but worries me as 3 PS have said fillers are superior. Thanks.
I am thinking of getting a chin implant. What are the pros and cons of the various types of chine implants (i.e. silicone, Gore-Tex, Medpor)? And which one provides the best natural-looking results with minimal adverse side effects?
I'm wondering what are the PROs and CONs of fixing a chin or cheek implant with screws? Is there more recovery time or pain with screw fixation? I'm worried about micro-movements with an implant that will erode the bone over time, which is why screw fixation seems like an attractive option. So, please what are the downsides to screw fixation of an implant?
I am considering a chin enhancement. I've visited a few doctors. Some want to do the implant (that come in a certain size -small, medium, etc.). And another wants to do the mesh implant. I know there are pros and cons to everything and everyone has their preference, but what are the pros and cons of each way?
I'm attaching profile pics and ceph scan. What's better for me in terms of long term benefits, less risk, minimally invasive, providing the best SUBTLE results? Masculinization of the face is also preferred vs. narrower/feminine. Chin implant risks and pros/cons = include bone erosion, movement, displacement, infection and having the need for a revision? Sliding genio: numbness, infection, higher downtime (a couple weeks more??), not sure if it's any more or less painful. Purely cosmetic.
I am having a chin implant with no other procedures. The surgeon gave me the option to do in his office with a local anesthesia or go to a surgery center and be knocked out. Are there any pros/cons to either scenario other than price? More swelling? More pain afterwards? I understand everyones pain tolerance is different but is it unbearable to do while awake?
I had a consultation with a plastic surgeon regarding a chin implant. He recommended taking some cartlilage from my nose and using as a implant would. He said more chance the body will accept and feels its the best option for me.He advised the incsision will be done intraoral. What would be some pros and cons of this procedure? regards, Simon
