Im 6 months out and my scars are very red and raised. They started to look worse as opposed to better around 3 months. I dont have itching but experience sharp short pain in them sometimes. Ive spoke only to the nurse at my surgeons office and was recommended MEPITAC tape, should I be doing anything else are these keloid or going to get worse?
Im 40yo & had a breast reduction when I was 22yo. I was 145 lbs & went from H cup to C/D. I am prone to keloids. After surgery my scars keloid bad. I had to have a 2nd surgery to remove the keloid scars and then received radiation treatment to prevent the keloid scars from returning. The radiation worked & my scars healed well. Since then I have had kids & breast grown to F cup. Can I have another reduction and if so will MD automatically do treatment to prevent keloid scars?
Im trying to tell if this is a Keloid or a hypertrophic scar. Its from my breast reduction. My doctor said its Keloid, she hasnt seen it in person yet. My gyn also sid Keloid. From my research Id think its htpertrophic. But I dont have and MD. Surgery was 11/21/17. This became noticeably uncomfortable about 1/25/18
I am a 47 year old very pale white woman and my skin forms keloid when I have a large cut or injury. I had breast reduction surgery 14 months ago and now have 12 long keloids under each breast. For the 14 months since surgery I have used Biocorneum twice daily, had multiple injections of Kenalog, performed daily scar massage, used Embrace active scar defense sheets for 2 weeks solid with no improvement at all. I had scar revision surgery but the keloids reformed. Is there anything else to try?
I am currently a 34H and i would like to get a breast reduction to go down to a 34D. Only issue is I am concerned about is that i have a history of keloid scarring. With that being said, is a surgery like this even realistic for me?
I had my breast reduction a year and a half ago . Didn't notice the keloids at first but the doctor advised me to massage . I did massage throughly throughout the healing process . However , I still ended up with keloid around my areolars .my nipples are sensitive especially the keloid part . Also the insition going up my back from my breast has a slight keloid . Could you give me an estimate of around how much that should cost .
I had a breast reduction done in 2014. My scars turned into keloid. I have been getting kenalog injections along with laser scar therapy. My keloids flattened out, however the scars widened. Also the last 30 days, my veins started to show. I'm so upset because these scars make me emotional. I do not feel sexy at all. If I get them redone, will it help to eliminate the widened scars?
