Im borderline on needing a lift and concerned that's it's too much to go through at my age when my breasts are pretty average. Is 32 too young to get a lift if it's not absolutely necessary? Will I loose sensation in my nipples or be at increased risk for necrosis if I have another lift when I'm older?
I am a 5'6, 125 lbs, white female. I had a breast lift and had no idea of the possibility of this complication. Stopped smoking my nicotine ecig 5 weeks before my breast lift. I am absolutely terrified of getting nipple necrosis, if im high risk I rather postpone it further. I am 22, rather heathy besides the fact that I smoke. I read more up on nipple necrosis tonight and I am sick to my stomach. Dont want to go through with this if I will end up losing my nipples. My plastic surgeon told me i only need 2 weeks to quit before but wont go over in detail the risks with me.
How significant is the risk of nipple necrosis (or, other complications such as with sensation and breastfeeding) with a skin only procedure like a Benelli lift (or, standalone areola reduction)? How often do you see this in your practice? Should I be really concerned? Non-smoker, young, healthy BMI, very healthy and highly health conscious but large areola that require large reduction.
I had a breast uplift on Wednesday (3 days ago) and my left nipple looks great but my right one its looking dark in places. Im really worried about my right nipple having necrosis, I seen my surgeon the day after surgery and was told its just a hematoma? Is there any signs of necrosis here? Im from the United Kingdom and had my surgery in a different part of Europe so its not that easy to go back to see the surgeon.
I had a small opening at the "T". I am NOT a smoker. Today I saw my PS and he thought that it was a suture not allowing it to heal. He debrided it. It is now a hole. I trust my doctor but it all happened so fast I forgot to ask some questions. Since he debrided does that mean I have some necrosis? Will it heel quickly now? Is this uncommon? I have a silver patch on it now. He wants to see me weekly now. I'm scared. Will it get bigger? I have no infection. Is the silver patch proper protocol?
Hi, after a breast lift my nipple turned black on the outer part of it. Eventually the black scab came off leaving my nipple pink. I have some color coming back in different areas I was just wondering how long does it take for the nipple to get some color. It has been five weeks since my surgery.
Hello I have been wanted to get a breast lift for over a year now but I am so so worried Im going to get necrosis. Ive been on this site for a year and Ive seen sooo many girls get necrosis on their areolas/nipples after a breast lift.
