Had breast aug yesterday and having a lot more pain than I anticipated. The surgery center sent me home with ice packs, but none of my post op instructions mention it, and I dont recall my surgeon or nurse saying anything. Ill call in the morning and ask, but in the meantime would it be okay for me to use the ice packs to try to relieve the pain and swelling?
I am six days post op and went with relatively small implants 350 cc and 375 cc. While the swelling has gone down considerably, they still feel really hard. I am unable to take narcotic pain killers due to an allergic reaction. Should I ice them or massage them? I read conflicting information on this site regarding massage. Thanks in advance for your input. Picture below is 6 days post op.
Hello, I'm 5 days post opp had 375cc overs and I feel terrible I can't lift my right arm much I'm so stiff and can barely walk for a few minutes I'm short of breath and my chest feels so tight Is this normal? I also wanted to ask if I could use ice packs to help with pain ive heard they help? If not what Can I use to help me and what is there to help with the tightness as I have severe asthma and I'm finding it difficult to cope with the tightness thank you
I had my surgery yesterday and was shocked that I didn't really have any pain just soreness and tightness. When we got home from hospital I was able to get along well. I picked around the house and moved around a lot. moving seemed to almost eliminate all soreness I had. Once I layed down I started getting sore so I roared ice packs pretty much constantly is icing too much bad? I've heard people say 20 minutes on 20 minutes off?
