I would like to have a breast augmentation, but my dermatologist does not recommend it until 6 months post-accutane. Based on my own research, the risk for hypertrophic scars was based on research from the 1980s that was not that rigorous and more recent literature suggests otherwise. I am trying to find non-bias opinions on this.
I have recently stopped taking isotretinoin after hearing from my PS that it will delay wound healing. I read it up and saw that it may cause keloid too. I had taken 20mg daily for 4 months. How soon can I get breast augmentation after stopping the medicine?
I am currently on 40 mg once daily alternating 40 mg twice daily. I have the typical dryness. Im scheduled for breast augmentation on February 27th. My surgeon knows my medications and has not said anything about being on it. I just wonder about scar healing and tissue healing?
