I am two weeks post op for my tummy tuck. My surgeon said my tummy tuck consisted of the hip bone to hip bone method with a T shape at the bottom. The left side starts on the hipbone but the right side goes up my back. Was this a mistake? Its very uncomfortable. It feels like my back is burning every time I try and stand. I also hate the scar. I thought the my tummy tuck would be discrete and not really noticeable. This scar on my back proved me wrong.
I had a tummy tuck 2 weeks ago. I'm concerned with the vertical slit shape and healing of my belly button. My doctor told me it takes time to heal. Is my belly button closing? Is it suppose to heal this way? it was round prior to surgery. Also it's red around and little white stuff on bottom is it infected?
2 weeks post op, Tummy tuck air bubbles after doing some kind of strain like laughing for example which it did hurt.Thank u kindly 4 your answers. One Doctor wondered why I don't ask my Doctor certain questions...well...I feel I shouldn't do this but...here it goes...the reason I'm not asking my Doctor is because he always seems 2 in a hurry 2 even look at me & his nurse talks like she hates her job.so there u go.That's my reason 4 joining RealSelf.Thank u so much 4 all of your help & support!:)
I had an abdominoplasty along with a breast augmentation & lift (385cc). I am currently 10 weeks post op. I have started back to the gym as of 2 weeks ago. I run for 20 min and then free weights. I eat mini meals every 2-3 hours, mostly veggies, fruit, and lean meat. In the last 2 weeks I've gained 8 pounds and I've had to go up a size in my jeans. Why is this happening?
3 days post we found out I had Necrosis which my surgeon removed with a minor surgery. Post that I developed seroma right next to the Necrosis site. Surgeon made an incision and left it open, it leaks fluid and I use a pad to absorb it. Every 3 days my surgeon drains it, cleanes it and leaves it open. Later I also developed Hematoma on my right side of flanks. The doctor made a cut and drained out the blood twice so far and left it open. Am I heading the right direction?
My TT was 18 days ago and I'm doing pretty well during the day with Mobic and Tylenol (and thrilled with results). My trouble starts at night, I can't sleep in any one position for more than about 45 minutes due to pain/muscle spasms in my hips. If I take 10mg of oxycodone I can stretch it to maybe an hour and a half of sleep. My pain isn't from my incision or abdomen. The MA at the PS's office didn't have any advice.
I had a tummy tuck with liposuction to various areas 2 weeks 1 day ago. I have recently noticed the bottom of my tummy is like a waterbed. You hit one side and the liquid waves across like a waterbed. I have seen a surgeon who poked it then had me in a half sit up position poke it again and say its fine no seroma just fluid. I'm so confused I thought a seroma was fluid? Will this go away on its own? I would just like to add i am very happy with the results of my tummy tuck! Thank you.
