Is this just because it continues to heal? If someone is doing the procedure to get a smaller nose, roughly how long after the surgery will they begin to see the size reduce? If I live in cold weather, will this impact time taken for swelling to go down?
I understand doctors recommend a humidifier post surgery. However I get really oily when in humidity and may be in an environment thats naturally humid. Whats the idea humidity level to be in post rhinoplasty (atleast for the first week). Asking so I know if I need a humdifier or de-humidifier based on my location. thanks
Montreal is experiencing a very humid summer. The tip of my nose seems to shrink in air-conditioning and expand in humidity. After reading a few doctor Expert Answers, I've learned that the Gym, Sun and Heat should be avoided for 6 weeks minimum. I also read that I should stay away from Sun and Heat since this will PROLONG the healing process. Is this true? If so will the gym have the same affect? Can all this be damaging to my nose and recovery? Thank you so much :)
Hello, Im a male and had rhinoplasty about a month ago and although I'm thrilled with the results, my skin feels very thick and it doesn't seem to bend to the new shape of my nose on the sides (the skin looks curved but the bone of my nose is now perfectly straight!). Im wondering if this is because there's been a really bad heat wave here and the hot weather is keeping me swollen? My face is frequently sweaty. I wear sunblock and hats but I have no choice and have to go to work.
Hello, this week is my 6th week after the surgery and I can do all kinds of social work, but because of my job I am always outside, although it is winter I still use sunblocks. My question is does cold weather affect the results? Sometimes I feel like my nose is about to freeze but I have tostay outside because it is a huge part of my job. Also I dont know what to do with the black heads? Thank you.
