I am now 65 years old and have been contemplating facial treatments for 15 years. When I was 50 years old, I opted for the laser procedure, "Ultherapy." I did not regret my choice at the time; however, it was expensive ($6000) and the results were not that significant of a change (considering my age and thin skin type). Fast forward to present day when I decided to opt for Botox and fillers; Botox injections for the forehead, Juvederm for the nasolabial folds and marionette lines, Restylane Silk for the upper lip and Restylane for the cheeks. Even though my plastic surgeon told me that I was a candidate for surgery, I opted for Botox and fillers due to a deadline date (upcoming grade school reunion) that I was trying to meet for results. The recovery period for me was two weeks. As you see from the photos below, the changes are significant: the nasolabial folds and marionette lines are softer and the forehead lines are not apparent at all. Please note that my plastic surgeon informed me prior to treatment that, in my case, the Juvederm would have more of an impact on the nasolabial folds than on the marionette lines. As far as the future holds, the Botox injections will last around 3 months and the fillers will last about 1 year. In one year, I will seriously consider a facelift along with eye surgeries along with the possible use of Botox and fillers. My plastic surgeon informed me that the results would be longer-lasting (10 years) and I will get "more bang for my buck" this option (estimated at $13,000). For now, I am a happy camper!

As you see from the ratings below, my experience with Dr. Fichadia was what I had hoped for. I felt so much at ease in being honest about my expectations with her. I informed her that I was not expecting all lines to be erased; just softened and, at the same time, I did not want "plump" results. I also appreciated her direct responses to my questions particularly about how she determines the amount of fillers that are injected to achieve a "soft" not "plump" appearance. She informed me that during the treatment, she would stop periodically for me to view with a mirror the lines that were injected and, at the same time, talk with me about what she had done and was planning to do next while listening to my feedback along the way. Her expertise is well respected and much appreciated!
