To be honest, I was terrified of getting a nose...
To be honest, I was terrified of getting a nose job. I have 2 friends that got them done (NOT by Dr. A) and the results IMO were horrible. Their noses look fake, altered and they don't even look like themselves. I knew that I wanted to do my research and find a doctor that specialized in facial surgeries - not a "one stop shop doctor" mistake that my friends made.
After much research I found Dr. Agarwald. I was thoroughly impressed by his skill as viewed in his B&A pics on his website, his amazing reviews and his ability to give you a preview of what your end result may look like. I scheduled my appointment with him immediately. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with him and his staff. Everyone is extremely professional, courteous, knowledgable and comforting throughout the entire process. I told Dr. A about the parts I didn't like about my nose since I broke it in middle school and also my fears about seeing my friends' results. He was so compassionate that it really put my mind at ease. He explained every detail of what my surgery and recovery would be like and even showed me a picture of what my results could look like. (His staff took profile pics of me and as he explained my surgery he photoshopped my picture to the end result he was looking to achieve).
I have to admit, seeing the altered "After" pic made me hate my current nose even more and I actually got a little depressed as I waited to save the money needed for the surgery. I always thought I had a witch-like nose and seeing the picture of what my face could look like made me happy I took the time to research doctors and choose the right one for me.
About a month after my consultation my surgery was scheduled. The center he uses to perform his surgeries was incredible. The staff was so unbelievable friendly and put my anxiety at ease. They laughed along with me and made me feel completely safe. (They also couldn't say enough wonderful things about him - which is an excellent sign in the medical field). When I came out of surgery I was in absolutely no pain. He numbed everything before I woke up. The OR nurses came in to tell me that the results were beautiful and they were all admiring Dr. Agarwald's handywork. Apparently Dr. A also spoke with me after surgery but I was too loopy to remember, lol. That night Dr. A called me himself to see how I was doing.
The next day I went into his office to see him and he removed the gauze from my nose. Another plus side to Dr. A is that he doesn't pack your nose like a lot of other surgeons do. I am an extremely anxious person, so him removing the gauze and cleaning my nose made me feel like I was going to faint. The nurse brought me water, Dr. A reclined my chair and they just sat with me until I was okay to get up. The nurse actually helped me to my car, lol. She was probably worried I'd faint! I was embarressed but they were exceptional in the way they treated me. I was scheduled to come back in 2 weeks to have my splint removed.
My next appointment the splint was removed and I almost cried when I saw my new nose. It looked exactly like his photoshopped pictures and I was stunned by the results. My nose is gorgeous! My face is even more beautiful because of my nose. The best part out of all of it is IT DOES NOT LOOK ALTERED. It looks as if I was born with this perfect nose. My nose and face were swollen so for a few weeks I didn't really look like myself. Once that swelling subsided I seriously could not stop checking myself out in the mirror. I am elated by his surgical ability and beyond pleased that I chose him to be my surgeon.
I should also note that he called me twice more over the course of my recovery to check on me. That impressed me so much and it really meant a lot. I understand he gets paid a lot, but he also works a lot and has a personal life so for him to take the few minutes out of his busy day to remember to check on me just speaks volumes about his character.
His staff recommended nutritional supplements from Whole Foods to take while recovering to help with the bruising and swelling. I honestly believe this was my saving grace. I have never healed so quickly after a surgery! The bruising was gone after a week and the swelling by 2 weeks. I was back to being myself again in no time. Dr. A told me before surgery that I probably wouldn't need the pain medication he prescribed and he was right. I had little to no pain whatsoever from my surgery. In fact, the only time I was hurting was when I would accidentally bump my nose getting dressed.
I'm usually not one to leave reviews, but I just wanted everyone to know how pleased I am with my procedure and choosing Dr. Agarwald. He is exceptional and I plan to see him again for another procedure. I highly recommend him if you're considering any facial work. You will not be disappointed.
