Day 6

Starting to fall into place and even out. Dr Pousti gave me exactly what I communicated to him... more fullness up on top and some cleavage. Still taking it easy, as much as possible. The only discomfort I get are random sharp pains when I move my arms too much. The compression bra can get a bit uncomfortable as well so I switch it out for another one I bought and then back to the one the doctor's office gave me. I'm also using bamboo nursing pads to ease on the friction I'm getting around the nipple area. Gently rubbing cocoa butter on because I'm prone to stretch marks, plus they feel tight and itchy sometimes. This is my 2nd B.A. surgery so a lot of this I remember from my first go around...Very happy that things are coming along.

3 day post surgery

Prior to surgery, I purchased an inflatable pillow to help me sleep sitting up. The first couple days, I slept very well on it. I didnt slide down on it in my sleep and it was actually quite comfortable on my back, although I did leave it slightly under inflated for a more comfortable feel. The cost on the other hand, was quite steep($100 on Amazon) and was almost worth every dollar until the 3rd morning. My neck and shoulders were very sore from not having something to stabilize the head in a comfortable position while sleeping upright. Perhaps I should have tried a travel pillow. And my lower back started to ache from the pressure of constantly being in the sitting position but I blame that on the couch I was sitting on. I decided to reduce the frequency of my medication so that I could spend less time sleeping and get myself slowly moving around again. I spent the evening with family who took me to get a pedicure and made me dinner. I have noticed trouble staying asleep the entire night but it has to be because I sleep so much during the day. (I'm not really sure if its the Rx medication that makes me drowsy or the after effects of anesthesia) but I'm sleeping 2-3 hours throughout the day and night. Can't wait to sleep on my back or stomach again. :-)

1 day after revision surgery/ Day 2

Woke up in the early morning with hiccups. So far today, have had three seperate episodes of hiccups. All short episodes, nothing that really caused too much disconfort. Feeling a little more tender and sore than 1st day but not unbearable. Not much of an appetite but my sister is making me healthy meals and I'm drinking lots of water. Following nurses orders and doing deep breath exercises to get anesthesia gas out of my lungs. Overall, I feel great.
