Spitting stitch

Starting last Friday I began having intense stabbing pain. I actually had to take a Percocet because the pain was so bad. I noticed a hard and almost sharp spot at the "T" incision under my Rt breast. I also noticed a stitch sticking out around my Rt nipple incision. I went in and saw the NP. I already knew it was a stitch under my breast causing the pain and I insisted that the NP pull it out with the tweezers because it was extremely painful, like a thorn was stuck there. I felt immediate relief when she removed it. It was actually a large stitch knot and another small stitch. Later, I litely tugged on the stitch at my nipple incision and it came out easily. I wouldn't recommend doing that, but thankfully it left no hole or red spot. I notice that I have another spot just like this coming up on my left breast at the "T" incision.

Full recovery from my 24hr bug. Back to recovering from my surgeries.

I'm feeling much better as of Friday morning after my 24 hour bug , which happened to be my 1 week follow-up with the PA. My tummy is still tight but I'm almost standing completely upright. My tedgaderms were removed and my belly button is small but will stretch some. I'll have a small T incision near my long tummy tuck incision because I didn't have enough lose skin to remove my old bellyb. I'm really happy with placement so far. I'm even happier with my breasts. They feel and look so natural even with the tape. The old implants had really bottomed out and were thin and ripply. I had lipo to my hips and thighs. I had terrible brusing on my thighs and buttocks. I did start Arnica and Bromelain before the surgery and one week later the brusing is significantly decreased. I have been told by the ps nurses that the lipo takes longer to flatten out and take a smoother shape, even with garments. I've been off narcotics since 4 days post op. I'm on ibuprofen and Valium at bedtime. I'm having tightness and backpain. So far I'm extremely happy with my results and I feel so blessed to have had this opportunity. I've always felt terrible in my heart that I was embarrassed about the way my mother's body looked. I always hoped she would care about her appearance and her health. I'm not perfect by any means but that's what I remind myself when I start making poor food choices or slow down on my activity. I know that I take better care of myself, but I never want my little girls to be embarrassed to be seen with me....yes and my wonderful hubby too!

Caught a 24 hr illness

So I started feeling under the weather 8/9 late in the day. I took a Zofran. My 1 year old had 2 small vomits and a low grade fever 8/8. My husband did most of her care although I gave her some Tylenol and probably gave her some hugs and kisses on top of her head. So anyway, nauseated on 8/9 at bedtime. 8/10 I was full on vomiting all day long, unable to keep anything down and my fever was 103.8. The doc called in to Phenergan suppositories. My kids stay at home, rarely get sick what are the odds? My incisions look great. I wish everyone good health!

Dr. Steinwald is a very knowleable surgeon. I do think he's caring although I haven't had any major needs or complications so haven't spent much time with him. I went into my surgical experience with tons of research under my belt, so I really didn't have many question. Dr. Steinwald did a lot of education during the consult, which confirmed much of the research I had done. I wouldn't say we've had a lot of contact since my surgery, but I haven't had any issues or complications and that's a good thing. The clinic staff is great! I've had question answered over the phone and via text and in person. They are very responsive and caring. I've never waited more that 5 minutes in the office. I love my results and I'm only at 1month out, and I would highly recommend Dr. Steinwald.
